Lovely little Campsite in the heart of doolin great base for any activities, walking distance to any of the pubs, toilets shower facilities very very clean and looked after. Looking forward to coming back and staying for longer next time. Didn't notice much for kids on site but there is enough to be doing around
Site is centrally located with great access and lots of space. Staff are friendly and easy to deal with. Facilities are good, clean and well cared for. Nice pubs within walking distance for traditional music and food. Overall a great experience. Would definitely be back.
Well run, clean campsite. Will definitely be back. Toilets and showers were spotless. The staff were lovely. It is a small, friendly campsite. Quite time was from around 11 pm I think to 8 am. Felt very safe as staff seemed to round all the time. Was in a tent - there were spots by the river or in a sheltered area. We chose the sheltered area and it was lovely. Loads of room. You can park your car at your spot which I find very handy. Campers kitchen and activity area available. Ideal location for visiting Doolin itself and the surrounding areas.
So nice to deal with, really helpful. Oh so clean, cleaning around the clock. Communal kitchen was a great meeting place with lovely relaxed atmosphere. Free tea and coffee which was a lovely touch. Very safe and quiet site that is superbly situated near bars and restaurants in Doolin. Thank you for a really lovely stay.
My husband and I stayed there only for one night on Saturday 16th July 2022 and when we arrived young David, in the Reception looked after us immediately even had the grass cut when didn't really need it but the service provided was 10/10 and they were super friendly and accommodating. The kitchen and showering and laundry facilities are excellent and we will be booking for a larger group next year for sure. Suitable for families or couples or all ages and extremely reasonable. A little gem of a place. So close to fabulous restaurants & bars in Doolin Village and Cliff's of Moher so near and then there is Lahinch & Spanish Point only a drive down the road. Murphy's Tralee, Co. Kerry.
This is the first time I have ever written a review, but feel so strongly about what happened that I am forced to do so. Firstly I would like to start by saying we had a lovely stay, we only recently purchased our campervan and this was its first outing. We stayed for 2 nights, Thursday and Friday. We’d definitely return only for what happened next. We left Friday morning looking to get a breakfast on the way back to Dublin. We paid the 2 nights on arrival so we just drove out as you do. We drove around Doolin one last time, down to the pier then as we headed towards Fanore, I slowed down and pulled in to let a driver go past, we were in no hurry and he seemed to be! However once I slowed down he pulled in, thinking there was something wrong with the campervan, light not working, smoke, bike hanging off. He proceeded to tell me that we owed the campsite for Wednesday night in an aggressive and hostile manner, waving a written receipt in my face as proof that we had somehow cheated them. Having told him we only arrived on the Thursday and left on the Saturday (2 nights) he still didn’t believe me. He kept repeating no, no I’ve got proof you were here on Wednesday in the form of a hand written date on a receipt. Despite repeatedly telling him we were in Dublin on Wednesday and many could confirm it, he still wouldn’t believe us. Finally he called David the Manager who confirmed that payment was made on the Thursday when we arrived and the error was due to the attendant taking down the wrong day. Why couldn’t this have been checked beforehand? They had our phone number and email address. This was a very upsetting encounter. Who was this person, he never gave his name? We were treated like criminals by an overzealous vigilante!! David sent an apology text to my wife about it being human error regarding the date but made no mention of how this other man chased us down!!! Not good enough, do better!!!…
Great campsite, relaxed staff there to help if you need. All facilities were clean and maintained throughout the day. So close to the town/pubs/restaurants. Lovely people and atmosphere. No playground but kids didn’t mind as found other kids to hang out with. Games room in the main building, great for teenagers. Happy we went here instead of nagles as it’s not as big/busy and closer to town.
Stayed for one night in a campervan. Reception was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were excellent and clean. Used washer and dryers which was handy. Walked into the village and on to Doolin Pier, where boat trips are available, and visited many of the local gift type shops and a pub for a pint if Guinness 😊. Definitely stay there again.
Idealic setting by the river and close to village for food and drinks. Amazing walks nearby to explore beautiful Ireland Good space between motorhomes and caravans The site was very clean and grounds excellent. David the Manager was very helpful. Washing facilities and toilets spotless. Will definitely return.
This is a lovely quiet site it is in a beautiful location beside the river. Close to all local amenities and a short drive/walk to the pier. It is spotlessly clean and they even refunded money for shower tokens not used with out us asking. We will definitely be back
