Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely recommended. Staff gave us a warm welcome and helped in the middle of the night through Ellen storm to make us feel confortable. Everything was so cleaned and worked perfect. We had everything we needed at the kitchen and toilets. Water disposables in many spots to charge easily. Very well located for restaurants and take away food options and many tourist options around. It was a very good option with kids as well. Thank you guys!

What a well maintained campsite with staff who go above and beyond to make your stay an experience to remember. We went on recommendation for a week along with our two daughters and their families and our son and his girlfriend. 3 Tents and a caravan. All necessary precautions had been organised due to COVID19. The site was beautifully kept with staff doing regular checks and picking up any rubbish as they walked around. The area is stunning with lots to see and do. Four days into our stay storm Ellen arrived. The owners cleared out some storerooms and set up bedding in case of emergency. About 10.30/11pm things got bad and the owners and staff along with my two sons in law were amazing. They were soaking wet and tired but didn't stop until everyone was safe. The next day we decided to pack up and go home they surprised us by refunding the two nights we didn't get to stay. We cannot thank them enough and have all decided we want to go back. Hopefully no storms next time!!!

Had a great weekend in Doolin - even the weather was in our favour! This is one of the cleanest campsites I've ever stayed on - everywhere was spotless and everyone seemed to be following covid guidelines. The staff were friendly and helpful, we were right beside a little river with a view of a castle up on a hill, perfect for sitting / eating out. Some of the facilities were closed but we had a great time nonetheless. A little shop in the office would be great as the nearest one is a good long walk away!

This year was our first venture into caravanning so we didn’t quite know what to expect. We travelled to quite a few caravan parks pre summer and were lucky enough to get a long term pitch in O’Connors Camping & Glamping in Doolin. It has been an amazing experience on the whole ( apart from the inclement weather at times). We definitely picked the right caravan park in O’Connors as it is located in Doolin village just a short walk to some great restaurants & bars , and a perfect place to base yourself to visit all the beauty spots & surrounding towns , the campsite has excellent facilities kept spotlessly clean on a regular basis and makes you feel very safe in these Covid times, the security on site is also great with the front gates been closed every night and security patrols regularly.
What really makes this campsite is the excellent staff led by Dave, they are so helpful & friendly and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. We left the site to go home just before storm Ellen arrived and left our awning up as we didn’t think it would be to bad, however it turned out very bad and imagine Dave & the staff took down our awning to save it in our absence, what service “Thanks Guys”.
If you want an excellent campsite in an excellent location O’Connors is for you.
We will be sad to pack up and leave when the summer is over but thanks so much to Dave and his team, Vanessa, David K , Chico, and all the rest of the staff not-forgetting Pat ( Dave’s dad) who gives excellent restaurant recommendations 👍🏼😀.

From the moment we checked in it was obvious to see that all necessary public health measures for Covid-19 were implemented & being adhered to which made us feel safe & comfortable. Kitchen facilities were modern & clean. The toilets & showers were spotless & every-time we went they were being thoroughly cleaned. Hand sanitizer stations were in place along with additional outdoor hand basins & a sink. Washing up liquid was supplied which was a nice touch! We camped for 3 nights & the area was well maintained & plenty of physical distancing between tents. Security on site at night. Mixture of families & couples, no issue with noise at night. Campsite is ideally located in centre of town. Was very impressed & will definitely be back!

Just stayed for 3 nights at the end of June 2021. We were in a very large group and they accommodated all of our tents together which was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Place was absolutely spotless and very well maintained. Kitchen had lots of extras including a microwave, toaster, hob and fridge freezer.

Showers were 1 Euro for 5 minutes so definitely two tokens are needed as time goes quick. The site was perfectly located and only a short stroll to bars and restaurants. So much to do in the area. Doolin is amazing. Definitely recommend this campsite!

I have been camping all over Ireland for the past ten years never have written a review but feel this has to be said. Despite having a lovely member of the staff keeping the 4 toilets, 4 showers and 2 sinks for the entire campsite spotless it was less than adequate for the amount of people they shoe horned into the site. I hadn't six feet either side or behind me. Every time someone behind me wanted to move their car we had to move- disgrace given the pandemic we are currently in.

Then there was the money/fee When we checked in we were asked for a specific amount and paid. Then they came back to us and said we didn't pay enough and they needed more money... then they came back and said there was another mix up and needed more???? when I returned and looked at the 2020 pricing we were overcharged in the first instance never mind the second or third time!!!! they came to us at our tent so everyone else could hear the dealings then another couple said they were also hounded for more money as there tent was extra large. From my observation is was a normal 6 man tent.
Location great but so over crowded don't know how they are allowed to operate and to be hounded for money just can't understand

I've just stayed at Riverside Camping Doolin, I can't praise the owner highly enough for the exceptional efforts in keeping all visitors safe by continually cleaning common areas. No shortage of hand sanitizer and outside washing facilities. All of this and a warm welcome, top class.

Brilliant stay at O’Connor’s campsite Doolin. This was our first time camping/ pitching a tent, we stayed for 2 nights and it was fabulous. The campsite is in a great location , close to pubs, restaurants and a 15 min walk to the pier. Campsite was clean , facilities were super and the staff were lovely .
I would definitely recommend and will be returning the next time we are camping in Co Clare.

Other info- we pitched on the green next to the kitchen/ toilets. This was super handy and surprisingly quiet!
A must in Doolin would be the Pat sweeney hike of the cliffs of Moher - this was super.
We also did the inish orrr island trip / the cliffs of moher by sea. Would recommend !

This is a lovely quiet site it is in a beautiful location beside the river. Close to all local amenities and a short drive/walk to the pier. It is spotlessly clean and they even refunded money for shower tokens not used with out us asking. We will definitely be back
