Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I don't have the courage to drive when in Ireland but love to visit small towns and villages! Riverside Cottage is in the right location! It is easily accessed by bus from Galway and Shannon airport and is a wonderful setting for a few days at the end of one's trip to Ireland. Everything is within walking distance, even the ferry to the Aran Islands.

Ann and Breda are lovely, gracious ladies. I was concerned about the possibility of having to cancel the trip during these days of Covid lingering on, but Ann assured me that given proper notice they could certainly find a way to negotiate through emergencies.

As a small guesthouse with only three bedrooms generally they do require a week's notice for cancellation so that they can rebook the rooms. This is perfectly understandable during normal times and even more so when Covid has had such a significant impact on tourism in Ireland.

Oh, I miss those breakfasts and the beautiful walks in the village near the B&B, the good humour and the "good morning" greetings!

I'll be back again on my way up from Shannon to Donegal sooner rather than later!

First time to visit Doolin as a group of four. We can’t recommend this B&B enough. Breda and Ann were such gracious hosts, and service was beyond excellent. Rooms were squeaky clean, breakfasts were hearty, and the two hosts even went as far as to arrange transportation for us at the last minute for a quick whisk to Aillwee Caves on our last day. We stayed for three days in total, and we hope to stay there again when we come back.

Everything was wonderful! The April review before mine said everything that I would have written. There are only three rooms here so it could never be overcrowded and busy. This trip I was the only one renting a room. The owner and her daughters provide extra top quality customer service! If you have questions they are very responsive before you decide. Book without hesitation you will not be disappointed!

We stayed at Riverside Cottage two nights on a recent visit to Doolin. The B&B is centrally located, so it is easy to walk to everything. They have a private parking lot, so the car was close and safe. Breakfasts were very good and filling. The room was spacious and quiet, and the shower was hot with great water pressure. The mattress was excellent also, so we slept great. Ann was very friendly and suggested things to do on our last day. We highly recommend Pat Sweeney's Cliffs of Moher walk.

Lovely, family run B&B. The beds were the best we slept in on our trip!! The home is beautifully decorated. Well over 100 years old, the home was recently renovated, and seamlessly blends the old and new. If they ever want to start another business, it could be interior design. I’d hire them!! Nothing about the B&&B, or those who run it, was pretentious, just classic beauty.
Our hosts Ann and Breda were welcoming, accommodating, and eager to give recommendations of things to do/see and places to eat. Loved the pub a short walk away. Breakfast was delicious!! Oh, can’t forget to mention the pretty window boxes and blooming hydrangeas in the front. They instantly add charm!
It was the perfect place to stay while visiting the Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, and golf at Spanish Point.
If I’m lucky enough to return to Ireland, I will stay here again, but for a few extra days!

Ann, our hostess met us with a warm welcome. The room was lovely and had the softest sheets I have ever slept in! Breakfast the next morning was very good too.
The Riverside Cottage is a very convenient location in Doolin just over the hill from the Cliffs of Moher.
The Ivy Cottage just over the bridge is a nice place for lunch and Anthony’s restaurant literally across the street from the Riverside Cottage has a great outdoor deck with ocean views and a great dinner.

Riverside Cottage is in the perfect location if visiting Doolin Ireland. The owners/hostess both do a very nice job with keeping this cottage absolutely spotless. The beds are comfortable with crisp fresh linens. Warm room, nice shower. TV also in the rooms. Walking distance to the local area restaurants and shops. Reflective vests provided for nighttime walking.Very nice breakfast provided in the morning, great pancakes and fruit. Horses on site add to the local charm.
Thanks for a nice stay.

While in Dingle, my daughter suffered a painful ruptured appendix. We let Riverside Cottage know the night before that we would not be able to travel up to Doolin. Indeed, we were planted in Dingle several days before evacuating my daughter back to the United States. We experienced kindness all over Western Ireland from a gracious Airbnb host, a concerned sheep farmer, ferry companies...all of these businesses refunded our money, given the circumstances. And all of these companies earned my trust and respect. Except for Riverside Cottage who refused cancel and demanded payment. Furthermore, even though they had required my credit card number for the reservation, went so far as to phone us in the US and ask for a wire transfer. If we ever have the chance to visit Ireland again, it will not be to Riverside Cottage.

The Riverside Cottage is modest and our room small, but clean and comfy. The owners couldn't be more friendly and accommodating, genuine nice caring people. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Their location is ideal if you want local flavor, close to the boats that leave for the Cliffs of Mohr, a historic pub and a few shops. This is a small family run business and I love to support such places, they surely earned it with their outstanding service. I can strongly recommend if you want to be in this location.

Just spent 2 nights and cannot recommend enough. We had 3 generations of hosts including the lovely 2 year old. The location cannot be beat - 10 minute drive to the Cliffs of Moher, and 5 minute drive to Doolin pier. You could even walk to the pier. Also within walking distance to Gus O’Connors and other spots. Room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Our hosts took excellent care of us. We hope to return someday.

I would not suggest trying to roll a bag from the other end of Doolin you must take into consideration the terrain condition of the road and don’t forget the weather!
