There were 6 of us in our group, so we had the whole property to ourselves. While we were only there for 1 night, we would have liked to stay longer. Riverside Cottage is located right in the middle of Doolin-- a one-minute walk (if you walk slowly!) to O'Connor's Pub just to give you an idea. More importantly, is the fact that it has ample parking something of a necessity in Doolin. Ann, the host, was quick to answer emails that we had before our arrival and once there, she was very attentive and cooked us a wonderful Irish breakfast in the morning. During our holiday, we stayed at 5 other AirBnB's and we felt that Riverside Cottage was the best equipped, most comfortable and clean BnB we stayed at. When we find ourselves in the area again, we will surely be staying at…
What a peaceful way to spend some of my last days in Ireland. Breeda and her daughters do a lovely job offering travel advice, providing wonderful breakfasts, and keeping things tidy. They were patient when my arrival time changed (and changed again due to traffic delays), and were always willing to re-supply my room with anything I needed (water, towels, etc). The bed was so comfortable and it was possibly the roomiest shower I’ve had in all my Ireland travels. It was a little on the pricier side in comparison to other B & Bs I’ve stayed in, but seemingly in line with Doolin prices and worth the extra cost. I would stay here again without a second thought.
I don't have the courage to drive when in Ireland but love to visit small towns and villages! Riverside Cottage is in the right location! It is easily accessed by bus from Galway and Shannon airport and is a wonderful setting for a few days at the end of one's trip to Ireland. Everything is within walking distance, even the ferry to the Aran Islands. Ann and Breda are lovely, gracious ladies. I was concerned about the possibility of having to cancel the trip during these days of Covid lingering on, but Ann assured me that given proper notice they could certainly find a way to negotiate through emergencies. As a small guesthouse with only three bedrooms generally they do require a week's notice for cancellation so that they can rebook the rooms. This is perfectly…
While in Dingle, my daughter suffered a painful ruptured appendix. We let Riverside Cottage know the night before that we would not be able to travel up to Doolin. Indeed, we were planted in Dingle several days before evacuating my daughter back to the United States. We experienced kindness all over Western Ireland from a gracious Airbnb host, a concerned sheep farmer, ferry companies...all of these businesses refunded our money, given the circumstances. And all of these companies earned my trust and respect. Except for Riverside Cottage who refused cancel and demanded payment. Furthermore, even though they had required my credit card number for the reservation, went so far as to phone us in the US and ask for a wire transfer. If we ever have the chance to visit Ireland…
Riverside Cottage was the perfect lodging for our visit to Doolin. Great location to pubs and shops. Cliffs of Moher trail is nearby as well as the ferry to Aran Islands. My husband and I walked everywhere. After active days outdoors, we slept well each night on comfortable beds, and enjoyed all the amenities of the en-suite bathroom. The made to order breakfast each morning was delicious. What really made it extra special was the host, Breda, and her family. As a life-long resident of Doolin, she had wonderful stories from her family history.
Riverside Cottage in the beautiful town of Doolin is a charming bed and breakfast within walking distance to everything. The hostess Breda and her daughter Helena were wonderful hosts. The accommodations were sparkling clean, extremely comfortable and homey, spacious and bright. There are just three guest rooms and my family occupied two of the rooms, both with spacious en-suite bathrooms. The grounds are immaculate with beautiful gardens and spacious parking. There were treats in our rooms each day, delicious full Irish breakfasts and other yummy choices all made by Breda and delivered by Helena. They are a very sweet mother daughter team. This is truly a family business. Ann, yes another daughter, was fantastic at all the email communications. Booking was easy, questions were…
Due the pandemic, we rescheduled our first family vacation to Ireland from May 2020 to May 2022. Our stay at Riverside Cottage B&B was amazing and well worth the wait. Breda and her wonderful daughter, Helena, we’re wonderful hosts and we are so grateful to both of them for making our stay in Doolin very memorable. We will be returning to Riverside Cottage and highly recommend this beautiful B&B to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay in Doolin! Thank you so much! John and Catherine B.
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the Riverside cottage B&B. We really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts Breda and daughters were so lovely and helpful aith lots of local tips. Our room was very clean and had a nice large closet. The bed was really comfy and the ensure bathroom was great. We were within walking distance of everything, yet it was so quiet at night to sleep. Every morning the made to order breakfasts were delicious. Would highly recommend staying here!
Everything was wonderful! The April review before mine said everything that I would have written. There are only three rooms here so it could never be overcrowded and busy. This trip I was the only one renting a room. The owner and her daughters provide extra top quality customer service! If you have questions they are very responsive before you decide. Book without hesitation you will not be disappointed!
My family stayed here for 2 nights during our trip to Ireland. This is such a WELL DONE B&B. It's quaint, comfy, clean, and well kept. It maintains all the small town charm while being very updated and modern at the same time. Breakfast was AMAZING. The ladies who hosted us were absolutely WONDERFUL. My 5 year old daughter declared she 'loved them' after about 10 minutes of chatting with them haha! The house is also in a great location. Just a short walk to O'Conners where you can get GREAT food and hear traditional music. We sat outside in the courtyard a few times during our short stay and it was perfect. The most relaxing part of our trip.
