Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The host, Carol, is wonderful! Her B&B is on the main street in Doolin within walking distance to several restaurants and pubs. Breakfast was great; her place is clean, warm, and roomy. Not far from the Cliffs of Moher.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Carol was just awesome from her kindness to help with restaurant referrals and even acquiring a unique gift that we'd been looking all over for. Our room was spotless and absolutely lovely and though she joked the previous night about her cooking skills, breakfast was absolutely delicious. All in a super location within an easy walk to restaurants and shopping.

My daughters and I stayed 2 nights in April, 2015. We were in Ireland for almost 2 weeks and it was our favorite B&B. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Carol is the "hostess with the mostest". Loved Doolin... loved our stay. Hope to be back some day!!! Kathy, Amy and Erin

Carol's B and B is in a great location off the main road with comfortable beds, and she serves great fresh breakfasts. She shared tips on buses, ferries, music, food and hikes with us. Wonderful time.

Doolin Cottage B&B was our first accommodation in Ireland. It is a small B&B and was perfect for our needs. We had 2 rooms for 2 nights. The entire place was clean and it really did feel like we were staying in a home. The only drawbacks to our stay was a shower curtain that clung to your legs during your shower and no place to put your shampoo and shower gel, etc. The WiFi was pretty weak as well, I would say. I had the full Irish breakfast both days and it was delicious. I had the Full Irish at 4 other B&Bs after and Carol's black and white puddings suffered by comparison, but hers was indeed lovely and kept me going for the whole day of site-seeing and traipsing around the area. Carol is a lovely lady and we were very pleased with our stay at the Doolin Cottage B&B.

Never really do these reviews but since this experience was so great I want more people know about this place!! Doolin Cottage B & B was such a brilliant find. After trying a couple other places with no success (last minute trip and arrived into Doolin on a Sat night around 8 p.m.) myself and partner were pointed in this direction. Carol the B & B owner was very friendly and so helpful even got out the maps and helped us with our itinerary. Rooms were immaculate, warm and cozy. En suite in each room was perfect plus unlimited tea /coffee next to each room was just perfect after a long day! Then to wake up in the morning to a lovely home cooked full Irish breakfast was the icing on the cake. It was truly a great stay in Doolin and will most definitely be back if we are headed

We booked in for 3 nights and it was lovely. My first impressions: great location super quiet, peaceful surroundings and walking distance to the Doolin pier and local pubs and restaurants. while there we visited the Doolin Cave and went up to cliffs of moher! You can also get a ferry to the Aran Islands We stayed in a room upstairs and the place was so so clean! The bed was super comfy. I liked the fact it had no TV but free wifi if needed. Tea and herbal infusions along with coffee were available outside the room. For breakfast the room is the coziest thing ever! nice low irish music, fresh flowers, lovely simple cottage decoration. if you like yogurt and fruit ask for it so delicious and well presented! carol was lovely and how could I not mention the fact she drove me

What a lovely B and B this is , carol is such a good host , so accommodating and helpful and friendly . The room I had was on the ground floor at the front , and it was immaculately clean , bright and spacious . I had an excellent nights sleep and then breakfast is till 9.30 am I had a great cooked breakfast . The B and B is just down from a pub and is only a 5 minute walk to the bust stop and Oconnors pub and is 15mins walk to the ferries to aran islands and the cliffs cruises . There is tea/ coffee and fruit teas when you want them and wifi . Just remember that there aren't any cash points in doolin so remember to take cash .

A quaint B&B located in the heart of Doolin. I arrived in Doolin without a reservation and stopped by Carol's cottage to see if there was any availability. There wasn't but Carol insisted that I hop into her car and drove me around for nearly an hour until I was able to find lodging. Such wonderful hospitality and company! My suggestion would be to make your summer reservation early and stay at Doolin Cottage! Thank you Carol!

We stayed one night at Doolin. It was nice to be able to walk to the visitor's center from the B & B. I was able to purchase a scarf at the Village Craft Store and it was absolutely a life saver as the weather that day and the next was windy with rain sometimes and very chilly. We had supper at a small cafe that was very tasty and filling. A nice cup of hot tea on a day like we had sure warms the inside. The landscape is very picturesque and we took several pictures. Later in the evening we were able to walk to Fitzpatrick's Pub for a couple of drinks and some Irish music. Carol provided a very comfortable room for us and in the morning made a wonderful breakfast. This was another ideal place to rest on our journey through Ireland.
