I would definitely plan another stay at this B&B. It was delightful from the time we arrived. We were a bit ahead of the check in time but the rooms were ready and we were welcomed in along with time given to tell us a bit about the area.
Our rooms were nice - clean, good linens, fresh.
Our hostess offered homemade granola bars so fresh they were still warm. They were for breakfast but she offered one to us that evening.
As for our breakfast, the first thing was hot coffee and tea along with hot scones that were very likely the best we had in Ireland. The rest of the breakfast was great. We were able to order from several options.
I would highly recommend the Churchfield B&B if your travels take you to Doolin.

Me and my friend were heading down to Doolin and decided to book Doolin Cottage. We arrived at Doolin Cottage at about six in the evening our room was very clean spacious and even had a kettle for the morning.Carol was a great host as well she always had a smile on her face.We had a great night sleep that night I thought it would have been noisy but I was wrong it was extremely quiet. In the morning we had breakfast in our room because due to Covid-19 we couldn’t mix with other people in the house. There was only one option for breakfast witch was a full Irish breakfast and it came with a glass of orange juice tea or coffee the full Irish was very nice though.Check out was straight after breakfast it was good value for the night and I will be returning

The twin room was great as the two beds were separated by a partial wall. This provided some unexpected and appreciated privacy as my daughter and I had been traveling together for about a week. The beds were comfortable. The tea and prepackaged snack were appreciated. Carol was great at communicating via email to organize our stay.

The Doolin Cottage Bed & Breakfast, a clean and quiet B&B, was a wonderful way to begin our Ireland vacation. Our hostess was kind and helpful. The B&B is in an ideal location in downtown Doolin. So relaxing.

Myself and 3 friends stayed here last weekend with the purpose of going to the Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival. The rooms were basic but clean, there was decent Wi-Fi and parking at the property. This review is more about the lack of service received. When we booked the rooms we were sent an e-mail saying check in was only between 5pm and 7pm which is pretty restricted and check out the following morning was 10.30am ( the check out information was not included in the email). As we were reliant on google maps we did take one or two wrong turns on the way , meaning we arrived a little later than the specified time but we did call Carol to let her know and we were there by 7.30pm. The hostess was pretty abrupt telling us instantly to be quiet as there were people sleeping in the room across from us due to a long day horse riding - at 7.30pm! We had to decide on the spot what time and what exactly we wanted for breakfast the next morning as she would have to have it cooked and she needed to know then, which is again very unusual. We asked her if she would have a taxi number to which she replied no, don't bother going to Lisdoonvarna, stay local. She was, from the onset very unhelpful. The following morning we decided not to have breakfast which we made sure to tell her in plenty of time before anything was cooked. The general atmosphere was she couldn't wait to get rid of us. Obviously we went to Doolin ( which looked beautiful) for a night out. We were 4 girls who booked 2 rooms and we enjoyed ourselves but we weren't rowdy, noisy or disrespectful so it have been nice to receive the same level of respect from the host. As we weren't even checked out properly one of our group accidentally left with a room key, which she has since posted back to the property. I think this host should outline the type of guest she requires at the booking point as I would appear she would have been happier of we were on an activity weekend and not a social night out!

What a lovely B and B this is , carol is such a good host , so accommodating and helpful and friendly . The room I had was on the ground floor at the front , and it was immaculately clean , bright and spacious . I had an excellent nights sleep and then breakfast is till 9.30 am I had a great cooked breakfast . The B and B is just down from a pub and is only a 5 minute walk to the bust stop and Oconnors pub and is 15mins walk to the ferries to aran islands and the cliffs cruises .
There is tea/ coffee and fruit teas when you want them and wifi .
Just remember that there aren't any cash points in doolin so remember to take cash .

A quaint B&B located in the heart of Doolin. I arrived in Doolin without a reservation and stopped by Carol's cottage to see if there was any availability. There wasn't but Carol insisted that I hop into her car and drove me around for nearly an hour until I was able to find lodging. Such wonderful hospitality and company! My suggestion would be to make your summer reservation early and stay at Doolin Cottage!
Thank you Carol!

We stayed at Doolin Cottage for one night and we were sorry we didn't plan for more time in The Burrin. This area of Ireland is a must see for explorers and lovers of rock and ocean. Doolin Cottage is situated perfectly, the rooms were spacious, the greeting warm and friendly, and we felt lucky to have stumbled on such a gem! Cannot wait to return..stop by OConnors pub for a pint, great food, and authentic Irish music.

It's not surprising to read the other reviews and see that others have enjoyed Doolin Cottage as much as we did. It's all true. Carol is a wonderful lady and we also felt like we said goodbye to a friend when we left. Every other place we stayed after we left there never held a candle to Carol's hospitality, warmth and her fabulous breakfast! Her recommendations about attractions, shopping, how to save money, etc. were spot on. She has other family members at local pubs and shops who were also just as delightful. Look for the other Carol, Carol's niece, the bartender at McDermott's pub. What a hoot!

"The rooms are clean. The bed was very comfortable. It was quiet and relaxing, so much so we didn't know it rained during the night even though we did have the window cracked. Slept like a baby."
