We stayed at the Doolin inn for 2 nights and I couldn’t have asked for Nicer staff members. The ladies on the desk were fantastic, so chatty, attentive and helpful whenever we needed them! I would really recommend staying at the Doolin inn you definitely won’t regret it, the breakfast was fantastic and the rooms are so modern and sparkling clean! The location is 10 minutes max walk to most pubs and and restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the pier where you can get a boat to the Aran islands. Thanks again for the great experience 😊

Dear Laura Thank you for the great review, especially as you where one of our first guests on the reopening of our Inn. It really means a lot considering the extra work all the team put in to get reopen, put in place all the extra measures and still be they're normal attentive and helpful selves. Much appreciated Best wishes Anthony and Deirdre

We stayed in the Double Deluxe room (3 adults) and had plenty of space for our luggage. The room was equipped with AC and radiator heat; the bathroom was spacious (shower only) and well-lit. The room was clean, but the daily service was lacking: surfaces cleaned, floors swept & mopped, towels exchanged; but sheets never changed (we stayed 4 nights)... maybe that's a custom for the region.

The inn is located right on the edge of Doolin: a few minutes' walk to Gus O'Connor's Pub. There is a beautiful patio with a view of the sea and the town that has glass, wind barriers. There is also a covered, smoking area.

The owners (Anthony and his wife) were on site all day and evening. They were friendly and accommodating, and we couldn't have asked for better hosts. This place is not a hotel, so there wasn't a night porter and the restaurant/bar closed at 9:00 p.m. while we were there. Also be mindful that there are quite a few rules: Absolutely no food or alcohol in the rooms. The rules are respectable

We stayed 3 nights in the Doolin Inn as a family of 2 adults and 2 children under 8 years old.
The location and more importantly the staff made our stay a memorable one. From the welcome on arrival, the breakfast and the home from home feeling we experienced during our stay, I would highly recommend staying at Doolin Inn as a family or a couple. The hotel is extremely well positioned to walk to Doolin pier, walk the cliffs as well as centered near everything within walking distance in Doolin.

We stayed here for two nights recently.
We were very impressed with the spacious sea view room with modern decor and very comfortable beds (loved the duvets) and which was spotlessly clean. We asked for a fan and one was delivered to the room immediately. The staff at reception were very professional and helpful. We were very impressed with breakfast and we had Dinner in Anthony’s Restaurant one evening which was delicious and the chips were out of this world.

The car park is very assessable to the Inn and you can take a boat trip from the Pier which is just down the road. Doolin is a lovely place for a vacation.

Compliant with Covid 19 Policy

Will be back again

Thank you Maura for all your kind words and praise. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us. So pleased that you enjoyed our new evening restaurant "Anthony's" (open Tue-Sat), the Chips are a guilty pleasure of ours and a lot of taught and processes go into making every batch. But the effort really is worth it. Much appreciated Anthony and Deirdre

Booked the re-opening offer for 3 nights B&B for my sister and i. The Inn is in a great central location in Doolin with plenty of parking. What makes the Doolin Inn so special is the personal touch. Upon arrival you are greeted with a warm and friendly smile. I had booked a twin room but a double bed had been arranged in the room in error. This was rectified immediately for us. The staff cannot do enough for you, they even arranged to dry my sisters clothes after we got soaked in some bad wet weather one of the days. The breakfasts were amazing with plentiful choice and yet again the waiting staff were helpful, friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. For our day trip to Inis Oirr, we availed of the Artisan Picnic, i cannot recommend this enough, it was like a little treasure trove of delicious food which came in its own compact little back pack with a rug to sit on. We had dinner in Anthonys restaurant onsite on our last evening and were not disappointed. Excellent quality food which was beautifully presented. Our bedroom was stylish and modern with a very large bathroom, the only critism i would have is that there was nowhere to put your toiletries/washbags etc., perhaps some little shelves could be put up....
All in all i would highly recommend the Doolin Inn, its charming and what makes it so is its wonderful staff, Gretta and Sinead, thank you for looking after us so very well, we didn't want to leave!!
Thank you Anthony and Deirdre, please dont ever change the wonderful hospitality that you are offering, the natural charm is so endearing.
Regards from Louise Cleary and Susan O'Donovan.

Thank you Louise for your wonderful and detailed review. It really is appreciated to get such great feedback and we are thrilled you enjoyed our new Artisan Picnic Backpack which is a great way to relax and explore one of the many hiking trail such as the Cliffs of Moher Trail or on a day trip to the Aran Islands. I will pass your thanks on to the team. Best wishes and hopefully see you again in the not too distant future. Anthony and Deirdre

This is a wonderful place to get away from it all, a big plus for me was the fact that my mobile phone had no signal throughout the building, and I was able to switch off. however, fear not there is a good wi-fi signal in the Hotel and one can access the outside world if the need arises. The staff were very helpful and attentive, breakfast was superb with homemade smoothies, a freshly made creme fraiche with wild berry compote and granola topping to start followed by a choice of hot dishes. Dinner in Anthony's Restaurant was also a good experience, and a good menu with an emphasis on locally caught Fish and Shellfish, locally grown salads and vegetables and Samphire from the sea. A very good place for a celebratory meal, Good food, very well presented and well worth the prices charged. We had a great weekend including a trip to inis Oirr and a cruise around the Cliffs of Moher with a 10% discount for Hotel guests. All in all is very good experience.

Stayed three nights and enjoyed them all. The location can’t be beat and their off street parking was always available. The inclusive breakfast was very good…lots of options and well prepared. The room was clean and functional yet rather basic which was fine with us. Now the stairs are a bit cumbersome with luggage so one might request a ground floor room. Would like to return someday.

I had been planning to take my Mom, my wife, and my 2 kids to Ireland this July. Sadly, the COVID-19 pandemic caused us to have to change our plans and cancel our trip.

Although I had booked two non-refundable rooms, the owner contacted me directly and arranged for a cancellation and rebooked me for next Summer. He even offered a discount because next Summer’s date fell on a weekend.

Small business owners, especially those in the tourism industry, have been affected greatly by this pandemic. Anthony and his staff at the Doolin Inn have shown why so many people return to Ireland year after year. It is their kindness and generous hospitality which keeps us coming back.

I am looking forward to my family trip next Summer. Thank you again, Anthony and the staff at the Doolin Inn, for being so understanding and accommodating. Stay safe, be well, and see you next Summer!

With our new restaurant Anthony's becoming a great success in the couple of weeks it has being open and some other new enhancements to the business which we where able to implement while we where closed. Best wishes and safe travels Anthony and Deirdre

We stayed for 3 nights in the Doolin Inn, the staff are very helpful and friendly showing an interest in their customers.
The room was well equipped, big bathroom and shower. Netflix and YouTube available on the TV. The beds had a tendency to roll however that is to be addressed.
The food in the restaurant was excellent, breakfasts were varied and filling.
The Inn has a great location within walking distance of the pier and other hostelries in the opposite direction.
Doolin itself is lacking in a shop but the Doolin Inn has a number of products for sale in reception to combat this.
A trip to the Aran Islands and back via the Cliffs of Moher is a must from this location.

We stayed at the Doolin Inn over the 31st August and 1st September along with our 11 wedding guests. It was perfect for us and our wedding party!

Before we even got there, Anthony was so helpful and informative as we navigated wedding planning in a pandemic. Along with all the usual queries and wedding concerns, he put our mind at ease and was always available to share his knowledge, expertise and local info. We had to make one postponement to our wedding date and we're so grateful for how seamlessly he handled everything.

When we finally got to have our wedding, everyone we encountered at the Doolin Inn were so warm and welcoming. I'll mention William, Sophie and Deirdre but only because I didn't catch everyones name and they truly were all so friendly and helpful!

The rooms are so comfy. Who knew we'd sleep so well the night before our wedding!! And beautifully decorated with great facilities. We also required one accessible room for my parents which was on the ground floor, close to reception and still very comfortable, quiet and beautifully decorated in keeping with the rest of the rooms.

On the morning of the wedding, Anthony made the lounge available to my hairdresser and make up artist for myself and my bridal party. It was spacious, light and airy. Both professionals remarked how safe they felt in the roomy, well ventilated lounge, so essential in the times that are in it. While it made for a lovely relaxed atmosphere for me and the most important ladies with me.

After our ceremony and pictures in the surrounding area, the enclosed courtyard was perfect for us to reconvene with our guests for refreshments. While the private dining room was exactly what we needed for a wedding party our size. The meal was excellent with compliments coming from all our guests. The staff were so attentive to our needs. We had one child in our party and she was also very well catered for.

We'd love to do it all over again but will settle to return to the Doolin Inn to mark special occasions in the future!

Hello Luvtotrav We do not have a laundry service at the Doolin Inn. The Doolin Lodge next door will do a drop in laundry service with the same day return. In nearby by Lisdoonvarna and Ennistymon there are Dry cleaners, and in Ennistymon there is a self service laundry as well. Hope this helps. Best wishes Anthony

Hello Bridget Thank you for your inquiry, our restaurant has a full license with table service in our lounge. It has a full bar with draught, spirits, cocktails etc. The service of alcohol is within restaurant hours and usually finishes around 11.30pm. We do not have a late night residents bar, as we are a small country house with guest accommodation upstairs. Hope this answers your question. Best wishes Anthony - owner
