Been coming to the hotel for food over the years and has been fabulous food and service , Dropped in for lunch with my family yesterday DISAPPOINTED doesn’t cover it !!!! Service was atrocious from the start the lady (with the glasses and blonde hair ) whom I’m assuming was the manager was awful no welcoming no smile just attitude , was an effort for her to get us seated to start with , bearing in mind place was empty !! then ordering food we asked if she could do soup with another sandwich she replied nope they won’t do that it has to come with the other sandwich (made no sense at all considering they had the soup On the menu) then the drama started with the food coming chips salad etc missing from the plate and for the end had the audacity to charge for the meal which half of it was missing but overall the lady ( with the blonde hair )couldn’t care less!! Could tell the place has been taken over, going forward Gretna chase update your managers training on customer care and service!! (Wee smile would be nice ) and homemade food not frozen fish fingers!! as we said to the lady , we can get over bad food and bad service let’s hope you can too as a business !!! Won’t be back such a shame as it was a lovely place too .…
After a four hour journey we arrived at the hotel , where greeted with very friendly staff , we pre book ground floor room due to mother in law Disability , sadly this was not giving so Mother In Law 83 struggle to get upstairs, they couldn’t move us due to a wedding , we where offered a downstairs room on the Sunday ,this was the down side of the stay . The rooms are clean and tidy old fashioned due to much wooden furniture in the room needs upgrade, there was not any signs or notice saying the room been COVD cleaned, The breakfast was lovely friendly staff again Would I stay here again , yes of course if my pre booking instructions are followed
The staff rooms and especially the food were excellent. My family stayed with us here and not one complaint from up to ten couples. My wife and I got married and I would not have changed a thing, actually that’s not true the hotel will not accept dogs and I would have liked to have taken mine in. So thank you Gretna Chase and staff see you at the one year anniversary I hope.
We stayed in the Adam and Eve room - it was perfect. Big, comfortable and had a hot tub. The staff were incredibly helpful and super friendly. Am so glad that we chose to stay here for our wedding. Our wedding dinner was perfect and even though it was just the two of us, we were treated special and had lots of nice little touches. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast was great - nice to have table service instead of waiting for a buffet due to COVID. We also left an item behind and the staff placed it in the safe until we were able to collect it two weeks later. Not only friendly and helpful but super trustworthy. Extra special thanks to Claire, Rosie and Amy for their kindness.
Half way pit stop for our trip to Inverness. We were pleasantly surprised by the value for money from this hotel. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. Our room was large and had everything we needed. It was a little dated for me personally but its decor suited the style/age of the building.
