We stayed in the Welsh Caban and it was a brilliant stay. It tipped it down on Monday and the Caban kept us warm and dry with the roaring log burner :) It is in a great place with fantastic walks along the estuary, staff were friendly, the eco loo was brilliant and the shower is better than my one...

Very comfortable room with free wifi, tv and DVD player and walk-in shower. Excellent service catering to all guests comforts, including honesty bar, snacks, loan od DVDs, books, etc. High standard of breakfast too. Lovely, quiet setting about 10 mins drive from Dolgellau. We enjoyed our stay here.

We spent part of our honeymoon here almost 7 years ago and it was every bit as good as we remembered this time. Sarah and a John are very friendly and welcoming and make it a very chilled out, relaxing place to stay. We stayed in Miri Mawr which is really comfy and has great views over the estuary. Breakfast...

From the warm welcome and cup of tea to the stunning view of the retreating tide, we cannot recommend The Slate Shed highly enough. Lovely breakfast with home made bread and local honey alongside filling cooked options. Seek out a room with a view of the estuary and enjoy. Local walks from the property are easy and stunning - get...

We decided to camp here in our tipi during May Bank Holiday weekend. One of the best things about this site is that their pitches are spread out so it doesn't get crowded and other people don't keep you up all the night. Our pitch was called Wild Cherry, and I think we had the best view overlooking the estuary...

We stayed in Tommy's yurt for 2 nights over the Easter holidays. It was perfect. Our children aged 10 and 3 absolutely loved the place. The site is so well looked after and a great spot to just hang out and relax in or to use as a base for all there is to do in the area. The nights...

Greeted by staff who couldn't have been more helpful. Made us a cup of tea and homemade Welsh cakes, and had time for a chat and talk about the local area. We were shown to our room, which was very tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. We had our dog with us, in the room we're some dog biscuits, a towel...

Having spent a weekend using two yurts and a Caban for the family and then the rest of the week as a couple in the yurt, we thoroughly recommend The Slate Shed, as a site where you feel extremely safe and comfortable and yet get a sense of being in the wilds. The views and walks are breathtaking and the...

We stayed in a caban for a change from camping because the weather was still cold. We found this place on the off chance and it was lovely. A great location and gave a real feeling of the great outdoors but with a few creature comforts and a warm log burner. The service was warm and friendly we would defiantly...

We stayed for 5 nights in the Tommy yurt and had the most fantastic time. The yurt was well equipped - plenty of space for two adults, two children and a dog. The cooking area is outside but under a canopy so you can prepare meals even when it's raining. Despite there being no electrical hookup, lighting (very bright!) and...

Thanks so much for sharing your experience of staying in Tommy. Tommy is one of our new pop-up yurts so it's great to hear that it was fun and comfortable for your family to use in early April! There's plenty more adventures to be had in this lovely area so we hope to welcome you back again soon. Sarah and...

Two rooms, Bran and Miri Mawr, have stunning estuary views and all our guests can enjoy the breathtaking scenery from our communal Caban room and day lounge.
