Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our party of 7 including a 2 year old stayed here for a couple nights in late June.
Pros: great hostess, feels like coming home to Mom. She was very helpful with everything we needed. Breakfast is plentiful and yummy. Eggs, meat and toast with fresh juice and coffee. Large rooms with toilet/ showers. We had three rooms for our group. there is a variety of bedding options. Downstairs there is a sitting room with microwave and fridge available. Outside the windows are fields and greenery as far as the eye can see. Overall, warm, clean and comfortable!

Cons: if everyone in the B&B showers at the same time there is not enough hot water. The beautiful wood doors slam and if guests leave early or stay out late there can be a lot of noise.

Notes: this country side B&B is in the middle of Fermoy and Mallow- about 10 min from both. It's about 20-30 minutes outside of Cork and an hour + from Kinsale. If you have business in the area it is a great place to stay. Otherwise our group felt it was a bit far from everything. Since Fermoy is under major construction the closest food sources are Cork- which is a bit of a drive. Plan to eat supper out before heading back to rest.

We stayed at the wonderful Tomedjocon B&B in February, 2014 for two nights. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, the view and the surrounding area, peaceful and relaxing. All you hope to expect from a luxury B&B at an affordable price.

You always hope for and come to find less and less the wonderful customer service that is standard at Tomedjocon. We had an exceptional hostess, going beyond the norm for all of her guests. While staying here, a terrific storm came up and the entire area lost power. Without missing a beat, our hostess had a nice fire started in the sitting room, lovely candles set about to make the room even more warm and inviting and hot water heated from an emergency generator and a lovely tea going before we even asked for it.

What could have been a very uncomfortable situation was turned into a memory that enhanced and added so much to our good memories of our trip to Ireland!

Every morning, we were greeted to a cheerful and plentiful full Irish breakfast that was tasty and piping hot even though not all of our party ate at the same time.

I read the other reviews on this site about this particular B&B and, having stayed here several different times, find the negative reviews unbelievable. We have never had anything but great experiences here.

We will definitely be back!

Dealing with jet-lagged and hungry bluegrass musicians is a known challenge, however, there seemed nothing Juliana couldn't and wouldn't do to make our stay with her the absolute best possible. As far as I am concerned, this B&B is the best in the entire world!

You can wrap all reviews around your hostess, Julianna. She is a treasure; well informed, gracious, and welcoming. Our group of four were the only guests at this post-season time, yet she ran the day as if in full mode. Great advice in touring, better things to see, and discussions on life. The boys did their morning workout with Scotty, the groundskeeping dog, in tow. Rooms spacious and warm. We will return on our next Ireland trip.

I stayed at Tomedjocon with a group of 19 other people. During our stay, we could not have been better looked after. The rooms ensuite were very clean and comfortable and breakfast each morning was more than what you would expect from a B&B, A1! Julianna offered us more than necessary and went out of her way to ensure we were enjoying our stay. I would recommend Tomedjocon to anyone in search of accommodation in Fermoy or surrounding areas. Thanks Julianna, hope to see you in the future x

What can I say: I stayed here on two separate occasions and absolutely fell in love with the property and the family. I was a bit homesick my first stay and Juliana made me feel right at home. She eased my mind and helped me get in contact with my mom in the states. She is an excellent host, a fabulous cook, and a wealth of knowledge. Her and her husband John are honest, hard working people. They are long time residents of Ballyhooly so they know the town and all of its surroundings This property is so incredibly beautiful. It is perfect for any traveler. I tried to book here on my last visit and it was full, so be sure to book early if possible. x

Stayed here with my husband and a friend for a couple of nights. The property was great, the rooms were clean, and Juliana was a fantastic host. As others have posted, Juliana goes out of her way to make sure you are ok. Not only did she come get us when we were lost, she gave us lots of information on Ireland and ideas of where to visit. My charger was on the fritz and she loaned me one of hers while I was there. Just another example of how she tries to make everyone's visit the best it can be. The place was really quiet.

We recently stayed at Juliana's B&B and had an absolute wonderful time. Not only is she helpful and delightful, she took our boys and my husband and myself to the pubs, there are only three, and then collected us so we could enjoy ourselves. She totally goes out of her way to assist in any way she can and accommodates her Irish breakfast to your needs and times. I would totally recommend this accommodation. It is out in the country and only adds to the delightful flavor. Thanks Juliana for a delightful stay!!!
