Enjoyed a fantastic 1 night stay with Tom and Eileen, all 13 of us, surrounded by gorgeous gardens front and back. Woke up to a fantastic breakfast and I especially loved the beautiful home made brown soda bread!! Totally recommend a stay here!!!
Our Trip around Ireland couldn't have started better. Really nice and helpful hosts. They knew more about our trip then we did and cared a lot about us. Really good irish breakfast especially the porridge!
Spent one night at Azure B & B at the beginning of driving holiday in Ireland. My son and myself were accommodated in a nice double-bedroom. Eileen and Tom gave us a warm welcome, great breakfast (beautiful Eileen's porridge and bread). The Staunton were both wonderful.
Spent one night at Azure B&B at the end of driving holiday in Ireland with my wife and three kids. Welcome was very friendly and accommodation was a high standard, i.e. a room for myself and my wife plus a room for kids through adjoining doorway. We used as a base to visit Dublin and 30 minute journey on Dart train was ideal and avoided driving in Dublin. It was also about a 30 minute walk from B&B to Dart station and was ideal for us as it increased our Fitbit steps. Breakfast was also very good and would definitely consider using again if I return to Dublin.
We had three pleasant nights at this B&B which is convenient for Dublin and surrounding areas. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful, a font of local and regional knowledge and useful tips. Whilst there we travelled on the DART to Dublin and also drove to Bru na Boinne, both excellent days out.
This B&B is located 15 minutes from Dublin Airport and next to a charming seaside village called Howth. We took a 20 minute train ride into Dublin city to explore the attractions, then came back and ate dinner in Howth before heading to bed to catch our early flight. Mr Staunton was very accommodating and made the best porridge of our trip! Highly recommend staying here to explore Dublin and Howth on your Ireland vacation.
As you approach Azure you are taken by the immaculate yard, with raised flower beds, tightly trimmed edges and beautiful flowers. The house is neatly painted with the blue (Azure) door, etc. you would expect form the name. The best part, though, is yet to come. The host, Tom, is a wonderfully delightful man with an encyclopedic knowledge of all things local (Howth) and Dublin. His recommendation for food were spot on and he knew exactly what to do to make the most of our only 1 day in Dublin. If you can ever choose to stay here at Azure you absolutely should. They were accommodating in every way possible, from custom order breakfast (I like my eggs soft) to providing a different feel pillow for my comfort, they met and exceeded every need. A truly delightful way to end our time in Ireland...all B&B experiences should be like this!…
I'm so glad we chose to stay here on our final night. Very close to Dublin and the quaint seaside town of Howth. The house is immaculate and very quiet; we slept great. Breakfast was delicious; the only place we were able to try porridge! Would definitely come back again!
A great getaway from the hustle and bustle of Dublin. Tom and Eileen are great, usually glad to give you a lift to the DART station where the trip into Dublin City Center is quick and easy. Walking to the DART is a bit of a hoof, took at least 30 minutes. Room was very comfortable although the shower was a bit small for my 6 ft. 3 in husband. . Breakfast was great. One downside was that taxis back from the DART were difficult to get.
Although this place was smaller than the other B&B's we encountered on our tour of southern Ireland, we really enjoyed it! It was convenient for taking the DART into Dublin and close of the harbor and restaurants. The owner was also very sweet and had very friendly dogs.
