Nestled in a picturesque setting, Delphi Resort Hotel & Spa garners appreciation for its professional, warm service, though a few guests have encountered lapses in attention. The rooms are celebrated for their spaciousness and comfort; however, some have mentioned dated aspects and sporadic cleanliness concerns. While the overall atmosphere is deemed cozy, particularly with warm lighting and fires, there's a call for more evening entertainment. Cleanliness generally receives high marks, but there's an occasional critique. The value proposition is mixed, with some guests questioning the cost relative to their experiences. Despite praise for amenities like the spa and dining, recommendations include expanding indoor activities and adjusting the jacuzzi's hours.

I stayed here a few weeks ago for a family catch up. The location is beautiful and the views amazing. Reception is lovely with an American feel. The two receptionists were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was a short walk away in a quaint little courtyard. We were staying in a two bed suite, which was more like a little two bed townhouse. It was very spacious, clean and modern. We had dinner in the hotel that night which was included in our stay and was very good.
We booked the thermal suite the next morning, and this i feel is were the resort is lacking. There was a separate charge of 15 euro per person. When checking in we were only given one towel, no robes. The thermal area had only a large jacuzzi, a not very warm steam room and a sauna. The relaxation part was a step up from the jacuzzi and consisted of 4 beds. The whole area was very dated. I realise there isn't much can be done without spending quite a bit on a revamp, but a few simple improvements would help the guest experience immensely. What about some nice spa music, scented candles, magazines and light refreshments in the relaxation area? Extra towels or a robe should be provided for showering after as the one towel is already wet after using the jacuzzi. Lastly in the changing room there is only one dispenser in the shower with very cheap soap/showergel/shampoo - not actually sure which. When you are charging guests extra for this facility you need to step it up!

We were making our way to Leenaun from Crough Patrick enjoying the beautiful scenery. We decided to call into Delphie resort for a coffee. The Cafe was closing and the young boy said the bar upstairs would make us a coffee. They made excellent coffee. We wanted to sample local smoked salmon and asked about it. Ended up having delicious salmon and also local chowder. Do delicious. Apparently in September you can get a couples room, a dinner package and breakfast for 180 euro. What a nice getaway in a place that spoils you and treats you like royalty.

The property is very well maintained (wood and stone prevail) and immersed in the unspoilt nature of Connemara. Great welcome with the possibility immediately to make some simple excursions within the vast area owned by the Resort. Many activities proposed, too bad that the fitness part with whirlpool is paid. Good dinner with impeccable table service. P.S. if you venture for a trek remember to give yourself insect repellent.

The location of this hotel is outstanding, the views are WOW & by default will instil a sense of peace, tranquillity, and calm. There are multiple stunning walks and many fabulous attractions nearby. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was a letdown for us. The decor is tired, the rooms, even the most expensive rooms are simple but adequate. The flooring in our room creaked as did next door, so bad it woke us up in the middle of the night, thinking there was an intruder in our room. Flooring throughout is wooden, and in most areas, it creaked really loudly. The spa is in need of a serious makeover, new furnishings & lockable storage for personal belongings. There was only one therapist on duty, covering all therapies on offer & she has to have been exhausted by days end with bookings solid throughout the day. Outdoor activities had all but ceased the last week of August with only 2 on offer (orienteering & bike hire) from September onwards unless booked as a group. All meals need to be prebooked before arrival. I would suggest this is all double-checked on checkin to be sure you are not left disappointed as we were. Communation between teams seems a bit disjointed when transferring guest requirements. Guests were advised they couldn't eat outside due to the midges. This is Connemara, its midge territory. Every other venue caters to this with different solutions, but there's none on offer here other than to refuse to eat outside, which was a huge shame given that the outside area had such a fantastic view. Having said all this, I have given this a score of 3, because the food in 814 is excellent & and the waiting staff are superb.

The night I arrived at The Delphi Resort, I had just had a 12 and a half hour drive. I was exhausted and hungry. After manoeuvring my car around the rocks situated all around the parking area, I had to get my luggage over a dirty gravel car park ( I understand it is a natural setting but a decent carpark is not a lot to ask for. The overflow is a good distance from the hotel and is poorly light), I was met with a rather unfriendly receptionist. It was almost 9.30pm and I politely asked was there some food available. I was told an emphatic no. I asked for even a bowl of soup, or a toasted sandwich, to be told they had no ham. He offered me toast and tea, so I accepted. It was delivered to my room, which was large and specious, with a very comfortable bed. I duly tipped him when he brought the tray, only to find the "toast" was warm, soggy white sliced pan, no knife, bo jam, no serviette, just cold hard butter that I had to try and scrape across the doughy bread. A small filthy tea pot of slop accompanied it. I was disgusted to say the least. I commented to a friendly receptionist the next day, how disappointed I felt at the lack of a welcome, no kindness and the horrible "food". She apologised but nothing further. I enjoyed the spa experience, but if you're planning an early morning dip in the jacuzzi, forget it, it doesn't open until 10am which makes no sense as most people would like a detox or relaxation time before breakfast which is finished at 10am or before going off for yhe day!! I was booked in for four nights, the dirty tray remained unmoved for three days from my room. The bathroom floor was never cleaned. I had to check out a day early due to ill health and had to go to a medical facility to get medical assistance. I said this to yet another receptionist, who again was very rude and couldn'thave cared less. I was charged for the fourth day. The breakfast was lovely, most especially the delicious homemade granola. The young ladies serving were very polite and helpful, however, Delphi, with your lack of a welcome, genuine unkindness, indifference and poor attention to room hygiene, I will not be back. It's in a stunning setting, but it is almost another hour's drive after Clifden, so the owner's should seriously appreciate the effort it takes for a weary traveller to even go there in the first place.

We had our wedding here in May 2024, and I can honestly say it was the best experience of our lives and I would 100% recommend Delphi Resort for any style of wedding. All of our guests have been complementing the venue and I've no doubt lots of people will be back themselves for a night away.

The staff were amazing during every single contact we had with them. They were professional and accommodating at every step and nothing we asked for was a big deal. Delphi's wedding co-ordinator Bernie is an absolute gem, the contact back and forward was quick and easy from the time we showed interest in the venue and she was so kind and thoughtful to all our families too.

We were booked in for a complimentary night in advance to do our meal tasting and treated like royalty, the head chef came to chat to us and was so excited that we wanted to do a BBQ for day 2 (he loves barbecuing!) The big day came and we had our ceremony on the beautiful balcony overlooking the mountains, the food was a huge hit and the bar service was so quick and easy.

We had some technical queries as we wanted to watch a match and do karaoke during our day 2 and the staff were amazing and so helpful when I'm sure they had other things to do! A massive shout out to Subash who was so friendly and made us feel so at home every time we were there.

I don't know how we could ever put into words how amazing this place is but it has a piece of our hearts forever and I can't wait to go back.

The delphi resort is located in a beautiful spot on the west coast of ireland.
The weather was fabulous so we did not spend much time on the grounds.
We throughly enjoyed the Adventure Center and the staff there is amazing. Specifically Brendan our sea kayaking guide. We were so sad when we were unable to arrange the trip online because they did not have availability. We asked if they would consider adding a trip and they did.Brendan was professional, experienced, patient and a ton of fun to kayak with.
The weather was magnificent and the memories will last forever.
The staff at the resort was overworked and spread thin. Dining- menu was limited and staff was hit or miss. I know it’s hard with the crowds and staffing post covid must be challenging. I will say that EVERYONE was very accommodating to our allergy restrictions for our son. So grateful
The front desk was similar- some more helpful then others.
The walking trails provide some of the most extraordinary views and the whole forest is spotless.
Overall 2 nights is plenty and if you have a car day trips were perfect from this location ( Louisburgh, westport, craig padriac)
The place is showing its age and i wished it had something for 15-18 yr olds. The younger kids have lots of options.
We enjoyed a dinner off the property and the drive on the connemara loop at night was simply beautiful.

We spent 3 nights here with 3 children, 12, 11 and 9. We weren’t sure what to expect given the mixed reviews but we had a lovely time. On arrival our room wasn’t ready but children were booked for bogathon. Activity centre is very close by and we were able to change etc without checking in. Our accommodation was a one bed suite, with bunk beds and another single put in the second room for children. It was very spacious and we had a little balcony looking over the mountains. A fridge would have been much appreciated and for 4* I would have thought there would have been one. Room was very heavily scented with some sort of air freshener on arrival but once windows opened and room was aired it was ok. Bed was very comfortable. Main hotel very comfortable with lovely library area to sit and and read / play a board game etc. Wi-Fi pretty good indoors, non existent outdoors. Food was very good, from the bar to the restaurant and breakfast. Couldn’t fault it. We did the surfing and the aerial adventure - special shout out to Mike who made the activities so enjoyable, especially the surfing. Weather wasn’t ideal on our last day and he recommended we go to the leisure centre in Westport which was a great idea.
A great spot for families with older kids offering much more authentic experiences than somewhere like centre parcs for a lot less money. Staff are great. The surrounding areas are spectacular, Leenann is gorgeous.

When I read hotel and spa I expected a nice hotel and spa my family and I were surprised when we arrived. This hotel is for outdoor adventure seekers in the middle of no where River rafting, hiking, etc. not what we expected. It has one restaurant and one bar for food choices we chose the bar big mistake you have to constantly be swatting the flies away from your food when it arrives since the windows are open and no screens. Then our room again windows with no screens and this allows the spiders to enter the room shown in photos. The room was so hot almost like a sauna couldn’t sleep with the windows open we had to ask for a fan. When my husband went to shower the shower was clogged water was escaping onto the bathroom floor shown in photo all the hair clogged in drain. Oh and we got the playground view shown in photo with laughing, crying, and screaming kids till about 10pm It sure was an adventure. Beautiful surroundings not so beautiful resort. 😕

Hotel Delphi Resort is a great hotel in the rugged area of Connemara. We arrived on a rainy day in August and were warmly welcomed. We were able to quickly go to our room and then enjoy a delicious dinner in the restaurant with a beautiful view of the mountains. Breakfast the next morning was very extensive, but what was most amazing was the spa and wellness area of the hotel. Nicely lit with candles, saunas at a good temperature, sunbeds, free water with a lemon or orange flavor and original extras, such as a seaweed bath for two people with Prosecco and romantic music. Greatly organized by employee Clodagh!
