The B&B is on a small hill overlooking the village with magnificent views over the water and mountains. I had a twin room with a small bathroom and comfortable bed. There was a kettle and tea/coffee/milk in the room. The room was small with no space for a chair so I took my book to the very small sitting room...

The welcome of Brian was nice! Also the room was bright and nice - fantastic view on Fjord. But.... No WiFi and TV in the room, water pressure much too low, sitting room was the only place you could have WiFi - but it didn't work efficiently. In the morning a fire bell was ringing extremely loud - but nothing...

Didn't stay in the guesthouse but the restaurant was recommended to us in Westport. Wife had salmon and I a strip steak. Simply excellent. Wished for more wine by the glass offerings. Only one was available. Wife's desert was superb. My baked cheesecake was a bit too dry.

We stayed in the Portfinn for a couple of nights in the hope of being able to climb Mweelrae. Unfortunatly the weather wasn't kind to us so we had to opt for low level walks instead. The staff in the lodge were very knowledgable of mountains in area and gave us advice on best walking for the weather . Our...

This guesthouse offers magnificent views and great proximity to the town, but the service was even more stunning. The first sign of a good location is the accounts from other patrons who were returning to this same place once again, which is always a tribute. The dinner was excellent and although we over stayed closing time in the dining room...

We had a rather large room facing the fjord and the mountains, but since other guests can walk around just outside, it is not always possible to keep the curtains open to enjoy the view. The facility is spotlessly clean. The breakfast was okay. The staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves a very nice dinner.

Nice, spacious room, very friendly owner/manager, excellent food at the restaurant. We expected a little more from the room service, though - the bed was not made during the day, and a used teacup was emptied, but not cleaned, and put beneath an unused cup on the tray.

Just back from a fantastic weekend at Portfinn. Not only are the views to die for but the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Portfinn and thought the food was deicious - very tasty, hot and well presented. It is just a couple of minutes walk from the town centre and...

We recently stayed in this hotel on a two night break, and found it a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, warm and comfortable even though the weather was'nt, and the breakfast and evening meals were scrumptious. The staff were all polite, friendly and informative and the hotel itself is beautifully located on an elevated site overlooking the fjord and mountains....
