Owner Elizabeth and son Kevin made us feel so welcome and could not do enough to make our stay pleasant. Room was lovely and always warm. Great after a long day of travelling. Mini fridge great for keeping that bottle of champers cold. Iron and board was thankfully available as we had a wedding to attend. Shower awesome, room inviting and comfy. Great hosts. Both website and host made it clear that there was no breakfast provided and it was pay by cash only so we were well prepared. There is a lovely cafe nearby in the square above the gift shop for a hot breaky, nearby Centra has a deli and quick snacks for travel and Arnold's offers a lovely lunch and dinner and is only 10 mins away from the Willows.

Room Tip: The room at the side has a parking area next to it. Unsure if this can be used by guests.

My husband and I stayed at The Willows this weekend and we’re very happy with our room. Comfy beds, great shower, very clean. A short walk from pubs, restaurants and the golf course. Elizabeth was very helpful and even gave us a lift.
Breakfast is not available but there are plenty of restaurants close by.

We stayed here for two nights . Liz met us on arrival and showed us to our room. It was warm and spotlessly clean. We had tea/ coffee etc and we got a bottle of milk on arrival by Liz. Which was stored in our fridge. Bed was very comfy with nice fresh bed linen. En-suite was also spotlessly clean with lots of fresh towels. We had breakfast both mornings. Lovely it was too. Will definitely return . A lovely weekend and so central. Thankyou Liz

Accommodation in Dunfanaghy is either very expensive or very over rated. We chose this accommodation because it had its own website and very positive TripAdvisor ratings. We found the accommodation without much fuss - its essentially an end terraced house, opposite a garda station. The lady that runs it was very pleasant as we had booked over the phone to arrange a deposit etc. So we looked forward to our visit.
There is a car-parking area at the rear of the property where you may just get a small car parked as it seems to be shared with other neighbours. The accommodation was a room at the top of a very steep and narrow staircase. The room looked very grand but perhaps a little cramped. We were bemused by a floor-standing fridge which housed the milk for the tea and coffee facility. All seemed in order though and a quick peek into the ensuite revealed a clean - we thought - toilet and shower. The room was an odd shape as there was a small ‘hall’ which although part of the actual room, made the room hard to heat and indeed it was very cold, even though the radiator was blisteringly hot.
We later found that there was mould growing to a great degree just above the shower. We were very surprised as the room ‘appeared’ clean. Bedtime and although there was an electric blanket, it was a bit of a lifesaver to combat the coldness of the room. Together with the fridge switching itself ‘on’ and ‘off’ during the night, just feet away from me, meant that I did not get a particularly restful sleep.
The next morning I was definitely not going to have a shower with mould on the ceiling. The biggest surprise of the stay was that we had to leave the end terrace house where we stayed, stand in the street at the house next door and go in for breakfast. Quite a palava. Obviously this would have been solved using a communicating door but … The breakfast was just okay and nothing special. Needless to say I could not recommend this B&B. It is somewhere to put ones head down for the night. The cost wasn’t particularly cheap either. A brave mistake and with the mould in the ensuite, a real fridge in the room and a journey to breakfast, this would be the last place to visit.

Spent 3 nights and enjoyed staying here. Elizabeth couldn't have been more accomodating. The room was spacious and clean, bed very good for a great night's sleep, bath facilities were excellent, wonderful breakfast in the lovely dining room each morning, couldn't ask for more. A good location for touring County Donegal.

Liz has a comfortable house on the main street of this town. The rooms are spacious, clean and very quiet. Parking is in back of the house, which is "secure" like all other parking facilities in town. The walk to the nearest pubs and restaurants is only 1-2 minutes depending on how slow you are when walking downhill.

The owner LIz is a nice person, but I have to be honest. The room certainly wasn't worth 65 Euro. It was a large room with a decent-sized( but ugly) bathroom, but had shabby furnishings (cheap bedspread and lamps, ugly bed and carpet). No charm. No view. The breakfast was substandard compared to the other B&Bs and inns I stayed in -- orange 'drink' instead of real juice, margarine instead of butter, no fruit. It was way too costly for what I got, even though it's right in town and near the beach and the Horn Head Loop. Maybe the other rooms are nicer. I'll never know. I do know now why it wasn't listed in any of my guide books.

Average room with cream shag pile carpet, very small dated old fashion tv, everything very dated and showing signs of considerable wear, only just adequate, breakfast very poor. Would not recommend. Simply put if it were not for the fact that the property sits in a very busy tourist spot it would not survive. 2.5 - 3 out of 10

The high point of The Willows is the hostess Liz who is always there, bright and cheerful, to help out with any problem.

The B&B is a 2 minutes walk to the town centre which is charming and not over touristy.

Our room was quiet, the bed comfy and the day-lit bathroom huge with both bath and shower equipped with its own water heater. The room had lots of storage space, a mini fridge, TV and tea & coffee facilities and hair dryer (on request). The room darkens nicely too. Our heating came on in the evening which was fine for August.

Liz takes your breakfast order the night before which is served at a beautifully set table downstairs. Naturally a full Irish breakfast is available.

The free WiFi was excellent and a washing machine and dryer are available. There is parking behind the B&B.

Overall a delightful experience and highly recommended.
