Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a great place to stay. Such a warm and friendly welcome from Hazel at reception. The room was lovely, the fire at reception was just gorgeous and the breakfast was top class. I recommend the grenola bowl and the Smashed Avo toast (with bacon and poached egg). Delighful! All the staff are friendly and you can tell, this is a family run hotel. I'll be back!

We had a very pleasant weekend in Arnold’s Hotel. The hotel receptionist was very welcoming and friendly as were all the staff. It was really warm with a big fire in the main entrance hall. The breakfast was fresh and tasty - top quality produce Irish sausage and bacon. We had dinner one night which was also very good.

Lovely traditional hotel with friendly helpful staff. Our room was lovely with a view over the bay. It was cosy and comfortable. I had mentioned it was our wedding anniversary as I thought I'd accidentally booked for one person and were greeted on arrival with a wee anniversary tray with shortbread and brownies! Thank you Laura 😊 the breakfast was cooked to order and was excellent as was the dinner, we ended up dining in the hotel both nights as it was so good. The foyer is warm and inviting with a few wee nooks, perfect for a pint of guinness. The hotel is ideally situated within the village of Dunfanaghy and easy reach of many beaches and Ards forest park. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return soon.

Excellent hotel in every way. I booked last minute due to an unexpected delay and they could not have been more accommodating. Rooms are beautiful and well thought out. Food in the bar is one of the best in area. Definitely be back but the next time it will be pleasure rather than business. The staff also deserve a pat on back for their excellent and professional manner.

an excellent Hotel in a small quaint villiage in Donegal Ireland. We took my wifes sister and her husband for a couple of days break and we enjoyed ourselves emencely. The Hotel is beautifully situated in the north of Donegal making day trips to the north and west coast easy. Wonderful food, rooms and hospitality was shown to us in all aspects of our stay. This is an old family run hotel that has been kept in beautiful shape making our stay amazing. Well done to the staff and owners of this wonderful find on the north coast of Ireland....

We regularly visit Arnolds as it is an excellent location to visit this beautiful county and it has good relationships with local activities, including the golf course. It's a wonderful. traditional hotel, with welcoming staff and excellent public lounge, restaurant and bar. We always select a sea-view room as we love waking up to the lovely view across to Horn Head. We'll be back next year!

This family run hotel is a gem! From the moment you check in you are greeted with warm friendly smiles and made to feel welcome. It's a coxy place that you never want to leave. The staff is professional, courteous, and beyond friendly. We had a gorgeous room overlooking Dunfanaghy Bay. The beds could not have been more comfortable. As for the food, normally we do not eat at the hotels we stay in, opting for local pub color and cuisine. Don't make that mistake here! Have dinner in the restaurant, you will not be disappointed. A big shout out to the chef who created several masterpieces with the local salmon. We came back for dinner the 2nd night of our stay as well. After dinner, make sure you check out the bar. They have a great selection of spirits. Order up a Teelings or a pint and grab a seat. Before we knew it, we struck up a conversation with several other travelers that lasted the entire evening. The place just gives off a warm and friendly vibe to all. Lastly, we want to give a big heartfelt thankyou to Cathy at the front desk. My wife and I were on our first vacation to Ireland exploring our family's roots in the Northern Donegal area; thanks to Cathy, we found my great great grandfather's blacksmith shop located in the next village. Our family will be forever grateful to her! From our family to all of the Arnold Family, thanks for such a wonderful stay! We will be back!
