Spacious rooms, friendly staff in a central location with ample car parking. There's a great buzz about the place and our trip happened during Covid restrictions. I felt safe as everyone practiced social distancing and the wearing of face masks. I will stay here again.
Just had a family meal here, must say the food and toilets were not up to scratch, first the rice came out all stuck and was stodgy, my father's plate had a big chip out of it, the cajun chicken salad was just a bit of cajun powder sprinkled over it, when I brought this to the attention of the waitress she just shrugged her shoulders, no manager came to apologise or anything would not recommend this for eating. 😭
Called in for dinner.. Our server was excellent. Food was nice up till we found chewed chewing gum in the bottom of the chips.. It was old as it was gone hard and stuck to bottom of dish.. Quiet a shock as what we ate up to that find was quiet nice. It was dealt with and our server seemed quiet embarrassed but not his fault
We go here for food maybe once every 6-8 weeks for dinner. But we called in last week just for light lunch and my partner had mushroom soup which he said was delicious with homemade brown bread. I had the baked ham and cheese toasty on sourdough bread and chips and it was absolutely fab. Would highly recommend it. Staff nice as usual and will be back.
