I really hate to leave bad reviews however… Two night stay. Terrible. Courtyard rooms should be pulled down. Walls are paper thin and the rooms just in shocking condition. Really not fit for purpose. The general feel of the place is that it’s clinging on for dear life which is terrible to see and for staff to be in an environment which feels so unloved. The one positive - breakfast was nicely prepared however the offering compared to the website is not even comparable. Need more staff (I guess everywhere does) but to walk into a breakfast room with masses of tables to be cleared just isn’t nice. As somewhere my parents got married many years ago I was quite excited to stay but left feeling pretty saddened.

As many others have said, the hotel is desperately in need of an update but the food was amazing and the spa was lovely. The staff could have perhaps been a little more pleasant but I think this may have been due to inexperience in some instances. I thought it was value for money overall.

Stayed here with my husband for 2 nights. It has the wow factor as you pull up however on approach to the building it was very run down looking with paint peeling off the window frames. The room was very nice with lovely views, the bathroom was clean but could do with some maintenance on the grouting. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and it was awful, so bad that on the second night we ordered pizza from a takeaway in Bray. The breakfast was 100% better. The staff were friendly enough. We never got to have a drink in the bar as it didn’t open till late and there was not enough people for an atmosphere so we walked to the village. I would stay here again but not for a romantic stay but for a group booking.

We booked for 2 nights and extended to a third. Really friendly and helpful staff and lovely breakfasts. Short walk to Enniskerry and Powerscourt. Less than 10 minute drive to Crone Woods carpark allowing access to Maulin loop with beautiful views over Powerscourt waterfall from above. Also possible to reach Djouce mountain from there and all achievable without maps provided the weather is good.
