Many travelers are drawn to the tranquility and inviting ambiance of Powerscourt Springs Health Farm, with its serene communal areas often receiving compliments. While the service is frequently lauded for its warmth and attentiveness, some guests have noted occasional lapses.
The hotel's spa facilities, especially the Coconut cocoon and pool, are particularly celebrated, although there's a sentiment that the hotel doesn't provide strong value for money, as services are considered overpriced and rooms outdated. Despite mixed reviews on room decor and maintenance, cleanliness generally meets guests' expectations.

The spa treatments, therapists and the forest bathing were excellent and the forest walks are fabulous. However the place is 3 star at best, and is very overpriced at €450 per night for a couple. The room was very average and the bathroom was tiny, old fashioned and badly in need of a refurb. Our toilet flush broke and we couldn't use it for several hours, they did eventually come and fix it. For €450 I expect a modern room and bathroom, it was like a room you'd get in a 3 star B&B. The food was just ok. The staff are very nice and helpful, but the management is disorganised. We saw the same staff there in the morning until late at night and then working again first thing the next morning. They seem overworked and tired. They could really do with improving little things, for example you can't have a cappuccino with your breakfast, why not? The pool towels are not much bigger than hand towels. For that price I expected a bit of luxury but was disappointed.

Powerscourt is a wellness haven just 25-mins from Dublin and located in the beautiful Wicklow countryside. You are guaranteed to leave Powerscourt floating and totally rejuvenated if you experience the range of offers here from the amazing pool and spa area, to the incredible treatments, relaxation area and yoga and meditation space. The manager Rafiqua does an amazing job and goes over and beyond to create a relaxed and special experience for every customer. The food is so healthy and nutritious and the zen vibes are reinforced by the incense and relaxed aroma throughout the hotel. It is the perfect night away to go with a friend, a family member or a group. It is the perfect place to fill up your cup and I couldn’t recommend it more for a day break or a night away.

I would like to start with the positives..the ladies at the check in desk on 01/10/23 were brilliant. So welcoming with a great nature. The staff in general were kind and accomodating. However the general the accomodation and surrounding area was lacking in attention to detail. I dusted my own room down when I got to it and got rid of webs and spiders that were under the desk and webbed to the chair. Every home has spiders and webs at the moment so I did not mind this at all. This was not a reflection on the room maintanance staff..it's difficult to keep on top of. I mived to the pool which looked gorgeous..but I noticed rust on the doors, heavy dust around the artificial plant that is the focal point of many pictures and the vents on the door behind that plant looking desperate. I was lucky I visit at an off peak time as there were only two loungers available..the only two in the pool area.
Iwas so looking forward to a good wholesome dinner the evening I arrived..but I couldn't stomach the food. I am in no way picky about food but I love flavour.. and the food provided had little to no flavour. It was clearly frozen or made by people who didn't fully qualify as chefs. The fruit salad in the morning was a few wedges of different fruits that were dry. The avocado toast was served on stale sourdough.
The forest walk consisted of a 5 min walk throught a forest follwed by a mowed loop around a field.
The gardens were overgrown and in no way well maintained.
I would like to reiterate that the staff were lovely..they were not the disappointment. The disappointment was with what they were trying to sell. A poorly maintained building and surrounding area. And poor quality of food.

Just back from night away. When we arrived into the Hotel there was the sound of drilling and workmen working in the pool area. Receptionist said they had been closed for 3 days for renovations and we should be able to use pool area at 3pm but it was after again it was ready, with some drilling ongoing. Not a great start to a relaxing night away. No changing rooms or showers at pool. Thought this was very strange and also unhygienic. Only 2 chairs - not sure where you're meant to leave robes, towels, bags etc? Especially at hot tub, have to leave our robes on flower bed! Similarly, at the spa we wanted to change out of wet swimsuit & we were led into a treatment room together to change. Very strange & not what you'd expect from wellness hotel & spa. I believe changing rooms & showers will be added in a different part of the hotel, not at the pool/sauna - renovations are ongoing. Pool was freezing, due to ongoing renovations and Receptionist wasn't sure how to make it hotter. Hotel was cold in general. Our twin room was very basic and small. Light in bathroom didnt work so I went to Reception and we were moved to another twin room that was much bigger, which we appreciated. Don't know why we werent put in that room at the start as there were only 10 other people staying at the Hotel & it was a lot closer to everything. Went into bar for prosecco on arrival (paid for exta) We were the only ones there and fair haired barman shouted 2 prosecco. He left them on the bar for us to collect. Not a massive issue but not great service! Same that evening when ordering cocktails (€25 for two martinis) Dark haired barman carried tray down to the table. Dinner was lovely and service was really good, same with breakfast. When checking out my daughter said if she had known renovations were still taking place she would have changed the date of stay. They took the 2 welcome prosecco off the bill (€10) Overall we made the most of the night away - relaxation room was nice & really impressed with food but definitely wouldn't be going back. I e mailed the Manager when we returned and got no reoly.

We were disappointed to say the least. Advertised as a “health retreat” we were expecting a calm and relaxing environment to escape the everyday stresses in comfort but unfortunately this is not what we got. On checking in the front desk were not the most welcoming and seemed completely overwhelmed (which I understand as there was one person looking after everything) our room was not ready yet as we were early and we were happy to wait in the bar as suggested however service was non existent. there as there was 4 staff members sitting at a table at what looked like a meeting and not one acknowledged our presence. Once we got our room we quickly noticed a corner of the ceiling/wall was damp and mould was forming, the windows were covered in condensation and mould. The curtains were dirty and the bins had not been emptied from the prior occupants leaving behind banana skins and used underwear. My friend even attempted to take a shower and it fell off the wall. I popped down to reception to ask for assistance, unfortunately it seemed like this was a regular occurrence but we got a very helpful gentlemen who sorted it for us. We availed of a massage each but I must say mine was not the most relaxing. It was not the worse but most definitely not the best. The treatment room had leftover wrappers on the floor from the disposable underwear they provide and the treatment bed was not made fresh from the previous client rather left messy the way it was. The massage itself was a bit strange and extremely rushed. The food was one of the positives we took away, the chefs clearly know what they are doing and we enjoyed our 2 course meal. The breakfast the next morning was also tasty and a young girl with ginger hair and black bow was just so lovely! Again after dinner we headed to the bar for drinks but to no surprise there was no staff and we had to ask reception twice if we could get a drink. Eventually a gentleman attended the bar full time and he was lovely. Overall it was a very disappointing stay which we paid +€400 for and we came away feeling we had waisted time and money.

Second time back to Powerscourt Springs and won't be my last. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, always feel so well looked after. The last time I was there was about 15 months ago and noticed so many of the same staff which is also a great sign. All the little touches from ginger lemon honey tea in the morning in the relaxation room, to the afternoon yoga sessions and fruit platters at breakfast. Can't fault it. Absolutely beautiful location too, whether on a sunny day, or cosying up with a good book as the rain beats down. We left too late to book treatments this time and were all booked out which was a shame, but will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful time.

I paid 230€ for one night, for this price I was expecting everything perfect. The reception and check-in were good, we were welcomed and taken to our room. And that's when I was really disappointed, very minimalist decor (nothing special), marks on all the walls, dust in the bathroom, peeling paint, in short, I've stayed in hostels that were better maintained. I'll let you take a look at the photos. Then we decided to go to the pool area. It's raining outside, and inside, only two deckchairs, that are already occupied. Impossible to sit down except on the floor. About the pool, the water was cold, and the jacuzzi was extremely dirty (yellowish, cloudy water, greasy bottom) with jets that didn't work. Fortunately, the hammam was very nice. The best part of our stay was the top-quality dinner and breakfast, well worth the price (35€ for a three-course dinner). To sum up, I'm not used to this kind of hotel, which I consider luxury. I wanted to mark the occasion to celebrate a personal event and was very disappointed, particularly by the cleanliness of the premises. I wouldn't recommend it.

Just stayed the night at the Powerscourt springs springs . It was lovely but some little things that are already on these reviews could mand a huge difference. When we arrived and went down to the room it was Baltic now they came down and fixed it pretty quickly . We opened thr wardrobe and someone else’s robe was on the floor . We went down to the pool and on the door was a sign saying would all guests please shower on their rooms before entering the pool area. Couldn’t believe that so there was no showers down there not only that no towels we had to go back to reception to ask for them . Nor only that there was only one hanger for robes and towels which was full up . Anyway we had a lovely time in the hot tub, pool sauna . Went for out treatment thr girls were great then went for dinner which was fab . But the guy serving us had to do the bar as well . Next day spent in the pool area abs thr breakfast was yum . So heating the rooms when they know they are being used, cleaning them properly, a rack of towels , more hangers and seating in the pool area all simple things that could be sorted by tomorrow and bobs your uncle . By the way any staff we spoke to seemed very undervalued by management which could explain the lack of attention to detail but would I go back … yup I would !

The green area and animals on the property are very nice. I like the concept of a health farm and spa. The masseurs are very professional and skilled, especially Aoife.
Negative:
Room 211, particularly the bathroom, needs better maintenance and refurbishment: Mold in the showers Broken and cracked tiles Dirty exhaust ventilator Slow-refilling toilet Dust, The noise insulation of the room doors is inadequate, but fortunately, there aren't many people around in the middle of the week.
There is also mold on the tiles around the pool. The steam room has a damp smell.
Overall, the hotel/SPA lacking in maintenance and seems understaffed but has a lot of potential.

Patrick's weekend prices for the Powerscourt Hotel were crazy so we booked this. Very relaxing. Excellent staff to include, Rob, Irima, Amjv, Helena, Linda and the manager Rafika. Food was great.
I would advise bring walking boots and a walking pole. There is a lovely forest walk to the river beside the building but it is quite muddy and quite steep.
Do bring bottles of your own water. Bottles of tap water (that they refill) cost €5 each for a 700ml bottle. This does not help relaxation. They nearly lost a star for this. These really should be free.
I will return but with a large 5 litre bottle of water from the supermarket!
