Nestled in a peaceful setting, Powerscourt Springs is recognized by guests for its calming spa treatments and serene nature walks. However, some visitors feel that the hotel's steep prices do not match the quality offered, pointing out issues with room cleanliness, such as mold and dampness, and occasional faulty amenities.

Property's Favourite Review
Powerscourt is a wellness haven just 25-mins from Dublin and located in the beautiful Wicklow countryside. You are guaranteed to leave Powerscourt floating and totally rejuvenated if you experience the range of offers here from the amazing pool and spa area, to the incredible treatments, relaxation area and yoga and meditation space. The manager Rafiqua does an amazing job and goes over and beyond to create a relaxed and special experience for every customer. The food is so healthy and nutritious and the zen vibes are reinforced by the incense and relaxed aroma throughout the hotel. It is the perfect night away to go with a friend, a family member or a group. It is the perfect place to fill up your cup and I couldn’t recommend it more for a day break or a night away.

I had the pleasure of staying here at the beginning of September as I thought I could do with a bit of a chill out. I arrived at the hotel not knowing what to expect as it is a new hotel and I never stayed in a wellness hotel before, but thankfully it started off very well as the receptionist welcomed me and I found the lady to be very helpful and informative, I was then asked into the cocktail lounge for a welcome drink which was a nice surprise and very refreshing.
Plenty of hand sanitizer everywhere and everyone adhering to public health guidelines, I have to say I really felt very safe here.
My package included breakfast, dinner and a treatment and I decided to upgrade my treatment for an hour for an extra €50 I had full body massage, the therapist I cannot remember her name but she was fantastic and it was the best massage I have ever had. Dinner was gorgeous with plenty of choice and breakfast was very delicious.
The pool was open from 7am and as I am an early riser this was great for me as was able to have a swim before breakfast and after breakfast I did the Dargle Meadow walk which is about 35-40 minutes and then back for a yoga class with the instructor called Babs, need I say more! Pure heaven.
I found my bedroom was a bit plain but very clean and comfy and access to WiFi so was able to chill out and watch netflix. I will defiantly be back and the next time it will be for 2 or more nights as I felt 1 night just wasn’t enough.
because of our friend Covid, there are no changing facilities in the Spa or Pool and also the sauna is closed.
I do hope this helps people :-) Nigel

I'm just back from my one night stay and am only sorry I didn't book for another night. The setting is stunning and it's ideal for a chill out/relaxing break.
The room was quiet and bed exceptionally comfortable with everything one would need from toiletries to still+sparkling water. The dinner was delicious and as I was able to eat al fresco it was doubly so.
Staff were exceptionally helpful. A special shout out to Angela who had to rescue me as a result of locking my key in the bedroom and then wiping my first one blank! Yoga with Babs was the icing on the cake on the morning I was leaving.
Thoroughly enjoyes my stay, ideal if you are looking to get away from it all.

When I heard that Powerscrout Springs was re-opening last year I was so excited that I immediately purchased vouchers for myself and female family members. We had all stayed there in the 1990s and loved it so much we returned a few times over the years and were very sad when the doors closed over a decade ago.
The newly opened version of "Ireland's only health farm" is even nicer than the 90s one. The renovation is lovely, with more modern interiors and upgraded bedrooms, and I particularly liked the the bar, just off reception, which is very comfortable to relax in, day or night.
We visited during Covid so there were a few restrictions (no indoor classes, no access to the sauna or steam room) but the friendly staff more than made up for this. The spa treatment I received was simply divine and the therapists are all well trained and covid-compliant.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch, with a bottle of Prosecco on arrival, and did a quick stroll around the grounds, before heading off for our various treatments. Their dinner offering is also a nutritional treat and both lunch and dinner menus offer plenty of choice. Breakfast was also plentiful and we finished off our meal having our coffee outside in the morning sunshine.
My room was quite large and had a lovely modern bathroom. We each opted to pay a little extra for a single occupancy room and it was well worth it.
On departure, I had enjoyed my stay so much that I booked in another night for later this year. I literally floated out of the place, it was that enjoyable!

Pros: lovely meditation class, facial good, dinner ok.
Cons: really poor service; it feels like no one is in charge. No show around when you check in. Not possible to order tea and a snack in the bar when you arrive, only a full afternoon tea. Freezing in some areas (the relaxation room badly needs blankets), absolutely roasting in the bedroom. Very poor breakfast: awful coffee, white sliced pan, got looked at like we were a pain when we asked for a fresh pot of tea. An empty coffee container was sitting at reception when we checked in; it was still there the next day when we checked out. Water dripping down the wall in reception. People checking out before us were charged the wrong vat rate; receptionist didn’t know about the recent reduction. I could go on, but in summary, this place badly needs attention. Couldn’t recommend it to anyone

This place is not worth your money. We had very high expectations and was disappointed from the second we arrived. If you have bought an overnight package that includes ‘yoga and meditation’ - it doesn’t. We signed up to both and later seen our names had been scribbled out by a member of staff on the meditation sheet. ‘One class per person’ we were then told. The 20 minutes of meditation was fine, nothing special.
The room was tiny and had 3 small single beds with no storage at all. I had the worst night sleep as the room was so hot and the bed extremely hard.
The food was average. Very bland overall. Dinner was included in our package so we had to pay €9 extra pp for desserts that were sitting in a fridge in the dining room. They were unpleasant to say the least.
The pool was lovely and warm, that was the best part of our stay.
If you’re looking for somewhere to relax and unwind - I would look elsewhere.

Hi there, Thank you for your comments and we are sorry that you did not fully enjoy your stay with us. Yes there is a Yoga or Guided Meditation Class available to guests during the stay which due to latest Government restrictions, indoor training numbers must be limited - therefore we can offer one free class per guest to safely adhere to social distancing guidelines. We are adhering to all Government safety directives so our hands are tied on this - apologies. A two-course evening meal is included in all packages and we are getting excellent feedback regarding food but we are sorry that you didn't enjoy this fully. Adding a third course is an extra charge and our homemade desserts (as many contain fresh produce/cream) are kept indeed chilled. We do genuinely welcome all comments and please be assured that all feedback is acted upon to enhance guest experience going forward. Warmest regards, Rafika Powerscourt Springs General Manager

Brilliant stay at the newly opened Powerscourt Springs in Enniskerry. I visited with a friend for one night and came away totally relaxed, refreshed and looking forward to my return visit!
The hotel is stunning - the decor is so tasteful and complimentary of the beautiful countryside surroundings. The rooms are very comfortable and there are lovely extra touches throughout such as excellent heir dryers and high quality bath and shower products.
We spent the trip relaxing in our robes, swimming in the pool (one group at a time due to COVID restrictions so perfectly safe), strolling around the really extensive grounds, and enjoying cocktails in the hotel bar. You can take part in yoga or meditation classes in the stunning studio and of course there’s the spa itself with a full range of treatments.
The food is exceptional and you can tell a lot of thought and effort has gone into developing the menu.
All in all it is exceptional value for money - I will be rushing back soon.

Stayed for one night midweek with my daughter to celebrate my 60th birthday no Covid cert checks on arrival and although generally very clean didn’t see any signs of anything being sanitised . Room was v small and windows high up so very little natural light, while spotless and comfortable it was extremely hot . Corridors and dining area were very cold. Swimming pool was cold. Treatments however were excellent but once again relaxation area was cold.
Dinner was average, admittedly nice tough of candles and happy birthday sung on arrival of dessert which along with an extra glass of wine were on the house. Cocktail area comfortable but again was cold and although wee nightlights on all the tables it would have been nice if they were lighting.
Breakfast was terrible fruit almost too cold to eat, tea and coffee nothing served in teapots and tasted like they had been made half an hour earlier , we requested replacement hot tea and coffee and while we did receive this we were not given more milk . No staff available to help. Eventually I had to go into kitchen and request from a kitchen porter who was very helpful and obliged us with milk, by this stage the second pots were cold. Mushrooms swimming in creme fraiche and poached eggs had skim on them …. Obviously had been sitting cooked for some time.
Yoga room was beautiful but very overheated. Yoga class and meditation class were lovely.
We then wandered out to feed the alpacas but hut was dirty and no food available.
Overall experience v disappointing and certainly wouldn’t recommend it.

Just back from night away. When we arrived into the Hotel there was the sound of drilling and workmen working in the pool area. Receptionist said they had been closed for 3 days for renovations and we should be able to use pool area at 3pm but it was after again it was ready, with some drilling ongoing. Not a great start to a relaxing night away.
No changing rooms or showers at pool. Thought this was very strange and also unhygienic. Only 2 chairs - not sure where you're meant to leave robes, towels, bags etc? Especially at hot tub, have to leave our robes on flower bed! Similarly, at the spa we wanted to change out of wet swimsuit & we were led into a treatment room together to change. Very strange & not what you'd expect from wellness hotel & spa. I believe changing rooms & showers will be added in a different part of the hotel, not at the pool/sauna - renovations are ongoing. Pool was freezing, due to ongoing renovations and Receptionist wasn't sure how to make it hotter. Hotel was cold in general.
Our twin room was very basic and small. Light in bathroom didnt work so I went to Reception and we were moved to another twin room that was much bigger, which we appreciated. Don't know why we werent put in that room at the start as there were only 10 other people staying at the Hotel & it was a lot closer to everything.
Went into bar for prosecco on arrival (paid for exta) We were the only ones there and fair haired barman shouted 2 prosecco. He left them on the bar for us to collect. Not a massive issue but not great service! Same that evening when ordering cocktails (€25 for two martinis) Dark haired barman carried tray down to the table. Dinner was lovely and service was really good, same with breakfast. When checking out my daughter said if she had known renovations were still taking place she would have changed the date of stay.
They took the 2 welcome prosecco off the bill (€10)
Overall we made the most of the night away - relaxation room was nice & really impressed with food but definitely wouldn't be going back. I e mailed the Manager when we returned and got no reoly.

Just back from a one night getaway and it was just what we needed. Welcome drink on arrival, picnic basket to take outside, gorgeous pool and meditation and yoga classes.
We were lucky to have great weather and the walks through the woods and into the meadow along the river is so beautiful. Grounds are just stunning.
The food is really good, the cocktails are amazing, definitely try the passionfruit martini it was delicious.
Staff are excellent, so friendly and helpful, there is such a relaxed feeling in the hotel, I must mention Dee who made our stay very special and Rafika they are so nice and helpful!
The rooms are big, clean and comfortable and I slept well which is unusual, I usually wake a few times during the night when in a new place.
Masks are worn around the hotel until you're at your table or in the pool. It felt very safe.
We definitely will be back in the future
