Could not fault this place. The rooms were clean and the staff amazing. Hand sanitiser stations everywhere with everyone adhering to COVID guidelines We ate in the restaurant one night. The service was very friendly with each staff member taking time to talk to us and chat a little and have the craic. If u wanted privacy u could have that too Some of our group used the pool and jacuzzi and said it was lovely. Breakfast was very well organised with plenty of healthy options. The cooked breakfast was of the highest quality I have had in a hotel for a very long time. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a very stress free few days away

We called in as non-residents ro seek an outdoor meal in line with current restrictions, not expecting very much. We were immediately welcomed and looked after in a very friendly and welcoming way. The food was very good. Wow will be back to stay. Every part of our visit was good.

Not accepting any guests from outside the county of Clare. Claiming that there is a ban of accommodation by law, when there isn’t one. Discriminating people from outside Ireland. Turning guests at the checkin away, also with a valid booking confirmation. Dialed apparently the wrong phone number to inform them. Expect to read an email within hours while driving. Badly trained staff acting very close to racism. Telling people to leave the country if they do not like it in Ireland, even they never stated that they do not like it. Refused to call their manager. Hysterical about Corona. Could probably run out of business soon. Hope they do not receive any public financial support. Found a welcoming hotel instead. One star still for the beautiful and almost abandoned Cliffs of Moher.

Response from Falls HotelandSpa, Marketing at Falls Hotel & Spa
Responded 20 Oct 2020
I am delighted to have the opportunity to respond to you here, Fabian. You arrived into out hotel, having just flown into Dublin Airport from outside of Ireland. At the time, the country was in Level 3 lockdown, which restricts movement between counties, due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Our receptionist very politely asked you to show us that you had quarantined for a two week period, in accordance with our government's Covid 19 guidelines. You laughed at her. You shouted at her. You used offensive language towards her. You refused to wear a mask. She did not deserve to be treated the way you did towards her. You did get to meet a manager, who again tried to explain the reasons you were asked about quarantining. You weren't interested in discussing it. There was nothing more we would have liked to do than welcome you to stay at our hotel, unfortunately, as we are operating in pandemic times and adhering to public health and safety guidelines, we are doing everything we can to protect our guests and staff. You were rude and very disrespectful. There are several inaccuracies in your 'review' which I'm sure most people will be able to identify. The whole country has now gone into Level 5 lockdown, which has closed the hospitality sector. One reason for us having to go to this extreme is individuals not respecting and adhering to the guidelines that were in place to restrict the spread of this virus. Actions such as yours.
