The Falls Hotel & Spa enchants with its charming atmosphere and prime location, perfect for beach outings and scenic strolls. While many guests have lauded the attentive staff and spotless rooms, opinions on the value and room comfort vary; some find the hotel affordable and the rooms spacious, yet others cite cleanliness issues and noise concerns. Travelers enjoy the lovely views and breakfast variety but note the Wi-Fi can be hit or miss and the pool sometimes overcrowded.

We stayed for two nights as a base to explore the cliffs of moher and aran islands.
The hotel is really beautiful and cosy. The estate is well maintained and they have donkeys.
Our room had two windows, one over-viewing the river the other one facing side where you could see the sunset.
It's an old building so yes it has some quirks, like the elevator being far from the reception, but we didn't mind all.

Both the Bar and Restaurant have a great view over the river. We managed to sit by the window for both breakfasts and it was absolutely gorgeous. Especially if you're early, when the sun is still low.
Both restaurants are large and the tables are adequately spaced (covid guidelines). All staff is wearing mask and/or visors and there's hand sanitizer everywhere.

Breakfast itself was a little lacking IMO. You could basically get a full irish at the cooking station and there was small selection of cold items. I know a lot of restaurants don't use fresh eggs for scrambled eggs, but the ones here were the worst ones yet. Didn't taste like egg at all and didn't really look like it either. Almost like egg colored, tasteless jelly. I understand things aren't the easiest for hotel with Covid going on, so there might have been worse than usual selection.
The fruit salad was good though. As was the Dinner.

We used the pool it was nice to relax a bit. It wasn't overbooked (as with other hotels we stayed in this week). The amount of people they allowed in it was appropriate for the size. The Jacuzzi outside is nice too, with a good view but it's tiny. They cleaned the pool after every slot, so no complaints there.

The location is good because it allows you to bypass Lahinch when going to Doolin/Cliffs of moher, which tends to be a bit of a traffic bottle neck.

Overall, everything was great. Would be happy to return

5 members of my family and I stayed here for the bank holiday weekend. Check in was quick although only 2/3 rooms were ready close to 5 O Clock when check in is already kind of late @4pm.
Staff were very friendly.
Decided to go to the Bar for food and drink. We were only waiting 5 minutes for a table but were over an hour waiting for somebody to take our order. Food came out quickly following finally ordering and it was lovely everybody enjoyed it. Again, we were waiting about 30 minutes after our main course for somebody to take an order for desert. We were left the night in the bar and didn’t have to move at least. Rooms are nice, a bit dated but the hotel is old in fairness. This is my third time to stay here and the room around the 500’s wasn’t as nice as the other rooms I’ve stayed in previously. I appreciate that we are still in a pandemic and staff are all doing their best but if they are going to open to full capacity but are understaffed because they can only have a certain amount on or whatever maybe this should be reviewed and they should limit occupancy. Spa was lovely too but we were allowed into the relaxation room and people came and went without it being disinfected Or an option for us to clean it down ourselves. Would still stay here again with all that said!

I was organising my sisters Hen Party and from the minute I contacted the Fall's Hotel they were brilliant to deal with. They were so helpful with everything- Louise, Bernie and Patrick were always there to reply quickly to my questions and ensured everything was organised for us when we arrived. We stayed in the apartments and they were such a great size and were very warm for the cold month of December. All the staff working there went above and beyond to ensure we had a brilliant two nights in the hotel. The afternoon tea and evening meal were top class and the service was fantastic even when the restaurant was full. The breakfast the next day was very busy but the staff opened up a small room to accommodate us and the food was very fresh and hot. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at the hotel and I'm hoping to return again soon after our wonderful weekend there. Thanks to all the staff for making our weekend one to remember!

Recently stayed at The Falls and can't fault it at all. A very pleasant experience over all. We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children aged 12 and 14. We booked a family 2 room stay. No interconnecting door but next door all the same. Rooms 417 & 419 are spacious & basic and have good bathrooms, one with a shower only and the other with a bath shower combo. Breakfast was included in our deal and was perfect and plentiful. Other options available but not visible or mentioned on a menu at the table eg. porridge, fried/boiled eggs, pancakes, brown bread etc.. Ask and you will get what you need.

COVID 19 :
This hotel is certainly doing everything that they can to be compliant
1: Bedrooms are not serviced during your stay which actually suited us perfectly. Fresh towels/ linen available on request from housekeeping
2: Breakfast Room: v well spaced out for everyone and served by the chef at the hot plate.
3: Drinks from the bar are available and can be taken to the very large and beautiful reception area where most families seemed to gather in the evenings.
4: Swimming pool: bookable on request and really nice. Towels available at pool reception for guests
5: Hand sanitiser available everywhere for use
6: Mask and/or visors worn by all staff

This is our second time staying at this hotel and we'll be back!

We were just passing through Ennistymon in the mid afternoon we decided to have lunch, Saw a sign for Falls Hotel and we were not disappointed , sanitising stations everywhere and the hotel was spotless and the staff are extremely friendly, Patrick Kilbane was an excellent host, he just struck up conversation and gave us a few tips on where to go next, the lunch was fantastic and good value for money, all the bar staff were extremely efficient and kind and not afraid to start a conversation, it is obvious they get good example of Patrick the Manager.

Next time we are in Co Clare we will stay with out hesitation and highly recommend this hotel as there is plenty of lounge space and the location is second to none with the river and of course the friendly donkeys. Cant wait to return.

I visited here with my parents in July 2020 and booked the 3 nights B&B and 1 evening meal deal. The cost for a double room for two was €400 while it cost me €250 for a solo occupancy double room so cost wise I thought it was great value.

We arrived on a Friday evening and parked in the large but busy car park. Upon walking up to the front door the first thing you notice is the river and the cascades following down. This is a beautiful sight and a great place for a nice photo.

Upon entering the hotel was quite old style but very clean and well presented. Check in was smooth and efficient and we were given rooms 407 and 408 which were on the same floor as reception. Room 408 had river views while on the other side room 407 looked out on the car park.

The room itself was large with a double and a single bed. The bathroom was also a good size and had an excellent power shower. The room and bathroom were both very clean. In terms of toiletries, these are no longer replaced every day but was easy to phone down to reception and request more and they would be dropped outside your door.

As we wanted to enjoy a drink with our dinner we ate in the hotel all 3 nights. We ate in the bar 2 nights and the menu and food was very good. We ate in the dining restaurant on the Saturday night and the food was excellent here, one of the highlights of the trip.

Breakfast is served in the main restaurant from 7.30 to 10.30. A chef gives out the hot buffet food. They choice is plentiful and was a good breakfast.

The hotel is situated in a good area to explore north west Clare and if ever in the area again I would definitely return to this hotel.

Just back from a 2 night stay in the falls hotel, like the title suggests it's a nice hotel but far from luxury. Its got alot going for it but there is a few key areas that lets it down.On the plus side the staff are great very friendly and eager to satisfy,it's got lovely grounds and in a prime location for visiting all the local sites.Downsides include being charged €3.20 for a 200ml coke in the bar, shocking rip off that was enough for me to go elsewhere for food and drink over the next two days. The leisure centre is fine but the spa is not what I would call a spa.Rooms where big and spacious with a modern feel but there was dust and cobwebs in every corner and when I pulled out a bed to retrieve something my kid dropped I could have made a small meal out of what was left there, the shower had no power either so that wasn't ideal. The biggest let down for me was the breakfast,it had a very wide selection all the cold food was great like cereals, pastries etc but the hot food was just the same cold! and we were in the first breakfast sitting so how the hot foot was cold is beyond me.The second breakfast I didn't take a chance and ordered poached eggs from the menu but they came out cold too,I just had a coffee and left got breakfast out.All in all a nice average hotel but I would recommend room only the breakfast ain't worth it.

We went on their one night B&B with a three course dinner deal.

I expect because it was a deal we were not given an updated room. Sadly our room was in need of some TLC. Room 664 The bed was lumpy and the furniture was old teak type wood and dated and the grouting in the shower left something to be desired. Also the dial to turn the shower on and off was very stiff to turn. The room was clean though and it served its purpose. It was practical but didn’t give any wow factor.
The downside was you can hear other people’s TVs at night. Sound proofing wasn’t the best between rooms.
The upside was the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful and will do their best to please you. The location of the hotel is fabulous overlooking the falls. There is also a very lovely river walk.
We ate once in the bar and once in the restaurant. The restaurant food was the nicest food and perfectly cooked.

I asked for a vegan breakfast and there was a little bit of confusion when the order was put in more down to lack of experience of the waitress. It had to be sent back but the errors were immediately addressed and service from then on was perfect. The breakfast was delicious.

I would stay there again I had a nice time but I wouldn’t want to pay over the odds as I didn’t feel this hotel offered the luxury that other Spa hotels do. Hopefully they will update all their rooms to the same standard at some point.

Booked this hotel for a nice breakaway after the Christmas. Specifically chose this hotel for some Spa treatments. On first impressions hotel was lovely. However, on the whole we were very disappointed with our trip.

1. Had to request 3 times for the prosecco and robes that were included in our package.
2. No covid rules being followed for breakfast- buffet style lots of touch points and no 2 meter rules being applied while queuing to get breakfast. Given high case numbers did not expect buffet style breakfast. Decided not to attend for breakfast the second morning.
3. Had organised some treatments in Spa - it seems there is no proper management looking after the Spa. Therapists were making decisions on the fly and guests were arriving for treatments and then being told they couldn't have them. The first day I was in the Spa I was waiting over 45 mins to start my treatment as there seemed to be confusion as to what treatments could / couldn't be done. On the second day I was asked had I an antigen test done which I hadn't done as it had not been communicated the day previous that this was a requirement equally it was not communicated on the website either. Again it seemed another decision being made on the fly. Was advised therapists were trying to reduce time in treatment rooms to 20 mins.
4. No sanitising stations in the lifts where again there are more touch points. Granted hotel did have some stations outside the lifts but thankfully I was carrying my own hand sanitiser to clean my hands in the lift.
5. Shower head in room was caked with limescale, husband had to clean the shower head before taking a shower as water was unable to get through.

Totally understand we are living in covid times and that there needs to be understanding, however as paying guests service could have been alot better. Equally I do understand the therapists position, but again if the hotel were taking covid seriously they would not be providing buffet style breakfasts where spread of covid would be much higher and therefore risk higher infection rates for staff in the hotel and the Spa.

From the Spa perspective it would be good if it was communicated what treatments were actually being carried out so that customers can decide if they want the treatment that is being offered. It was not possible to get facials, body massages or anything longer than 20 minutes and it seems only the ritual treatments / waxing/ nails were the only items that could be offered. Again no issue with this if was properly communicated on your website. When going to a Spa you want it to be enjoyable .. it wasn't at all.

My wife and I decided to take a midweek break in the Falls Hotel and Spa. The Hotel was very clean and spacious so no issues with Social Distances. We booked a 2 night B&B with one evening meal all for just €305. The food in the hotel was fabulous. The evening meal was a 3 course meal with tea/coffee, we also had an evening meal in the bar the second night which was also excellent. Breakfast would set you up for the day and it’s a great base to visit:-
Cliffs of Moher, Liscannor, Aillwee Cave and the Bird show, Lahinch Beach etc. etc.
Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of Ennistymon and you can walk along the river beside the hotel. All in all we had a lovely relaxing break in the Falls Hotel and Spa.
