Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulous location, only a short drive to Lahinch and lovely walk around the hotel! Loved the leisure centre, there is a gorgeous sauna overlooking the water. Great modern gym equipment too. Spacious room with comfortable bed and lovely finishes. Had a delicious meal, recommend the fish and chips and the chicken wings too! Really nice and welcoming staff, particularly the male waiter who served us, never got his name! Breakfast was perfect too. Plenty to do around County Clare and this hotel is a great base for exploring the county as well as being the perfect destination to just relax. Will return!

Very impressive hotel, comfortable spacious foyer, wonderful views of the Falls from the bar/dining area. The hotel is 100 per run on hydro power from the river that runs past it. This is an amazing fete for the eco friendly guests. Pool, spa and outdoor hot tub and a must do experience

We went here for dinner at the recommendation of a rental agent. Not only were we disappointed with the food, we were disappointed with where we stayed as well. The menu lasked anything of interest to us. Perhaps it is an older crowd that they cater to, becasue we only saw older people, and I mean older.

The staff are very friendly and hospitable However, on both mornings… Saturday and Sunday morning we were woken between 7:30-8am as there is building works going on across the third floor. We were informed on the Saturday that the building work would not take place on the Sunday however it did! Very disappointing stay overall.

Stayed in holiday homes. Close to pool. Great views but noisy over hot tub in spa. Houses were great size. Food in hotel excellent Bar great food. Restaurant . Went once and a lovely waitress (Tilly I think) made it special. Second time, staff were notably less experienced and on phones so service was poor. A great area to visit and a lovely hotel.

We had a favourable Christmas break in this hotel. All the staff were excellent and the food was Devine as expected. The room was spotless and the housekeeping team team were so helpful and nothing was any trouble.

It's old; it's creaky; and it's charming. Set below the falls of the Cullanegh, this lovely sited grand dame of a hotel works wonderfully well. It's big -- a venue that can do weddings, conferences, and all but still offer personal hospitality and service. Ten minute hike to town -- what there is of Ennistymon. A fine way station from Galway down to the Dingle and Kerry country.

Stayed 3 nights here. Lovely view of the falls from the breakfast room. Beds were fine and room was clean. We had been in Ireland a month, and the workers here all seemed weirdly unfriendly compared to every other hotel. A fake smile will do, people... but nothing. One morning, a service person who had misunderstood ( though I was claiming half the blame) argued and said " you said..." then rolled his eyes when I said "maybe you're right." No warm fuzzies ever over 3 nights. Kind of a bummer.
