Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very comfortable room, great food in the restaurant for dinner and in the breakfast room (and live music on Saturday nights) excellent staff, Caterina to name one, and just across the road from a fantastic beach 🙂

Lovely hotel, breakfast facilities and food was excellent. We stayed three nights over the weekend, we found that throughout the night between 1-3am groups of people were returning back to the rooms. Outside music was blaring from the cars, people shouting with no respect to others who may have been asleep. Because it was a hot night, windows were open. The hotel is situated in a lovely place, and the beach across the road is worth a visit.

This is an excellent place to stay and great value for money. I stayed here with my brother, attending a family event in Buncrana. For starters the staff and very friendly! The room was clean and big and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was hot and had good pressure. I can’t believe that a cooked breakfast is also included in the price. 55 euro each for this is amazing value! Highly recommend!

I took a group of 16 to the harbour inn for dinner. The group had people with no food issues, vegans, vegetarians, gluten free, lactose free, as well as mixtures. Everyone left delighted with the food. Servings were large in the typical Irish style but also high quality. With a group like this, you expect a bit of uneven service and quality but this certainly wasn't the case. Thoroughly recommend the Harbour Inn for food.

Spacious room but the decoration is worn and dated. Furniture is old and the beds uncomfortable due to plastic matress covers. Bathroom large but dated. A very uncomfortable shower curtain in the bath which makes the bath quite narrow. Breakfast was not served until 08:00 so we could not use that either. Dinner was nice, staff friendly and location grand. For the facilities though we would not stay again.

Room was plenty spacious for our family of 4. Only one window; so the room became quite warm, which is my only complaint. (Only 9ne window, which we needed to keep closed at night to prevent outside noise waking us up, as it faced the doorway. Also ate dinner at the restaurant and it was quite good (and packed with customers). The included breakfast was delicious. Great value for the money, and beautiful accommodations.

Really clean, friendly with good pub/bar on site. Just across the road from the beach (Lough Swilly) for walking/swimming. This is like an US Motel style, rooms off central car park, all rooms ground level (or so it seemed. Room very warm (and windows can only open minimally for security reasons) but fan provided. For €130, for 2 adults, for bed and full breakfast - lovely Full Irish cooked option - cooked to order and served to table. Usual cereal, fruit juice, yoghurt etc. available also.

What a lovely place. We stayed here just over the weekend, but would happily return for a longer stay. A nice welcoming place, with friendly staff and excellent service all around. The rooms are lovely and clean and functional enough. The bathroom was better than some other hotels we've stayed in and all is kept in excellent condition. Not much more to stay, other than definitely consider the Harbour Inn if you're heading over the Buncraba direction.

Great hotel. Rooms really clean, spacious and comfortable. Fridge in room. Room 218 was above reception and had a lovely view of the sunset. Breakfast was lovely and great choice. Hotel staff friendly. Location great. Live music on in the bar every Saturday night was great. Just a tip - bring your own shampoo & conditioner as the complimentary toiletry is an all-in-one shampoo & body wash. Old fashioned hairdryer that you have to hold button in not great for long hair (did get small travel sized hairdryer from reception second day). BUT Everything else was great!!!!
