The room was very roomy, and there was a nice few of the lovely garden. Winnie and her sister Bridget were great hosts. Breakfast was full Irish and very nicely served up. One thing about this wee B&B was it was so convenient to Buncrana just a short walk to the center of the town, I found everywhere we went the people were very friendly.
We found St Bridget's a warm and welcoming home. The bedrooms are spacious and well furnished and the bed very comfortable. Owner Winnie together with Bridget and Sophia served delicious breakfast. The house is well located on the edge of Buncrana with numerous good restaurants in the vicinity. It is also an ideal base for exploring the wonderfully scenic Inishowen peninsula and is only 20 minutes from the historic city of Londonderry.
Our room was fine as were our breakfasts but there was nothing special about St. Bridgets. It was certainly conveniently located to town, just a short walk. I would also have to say that it was overpriced for what we received. Of the 10 B&Bs we stayed at on our three week holiday this was toward the top of the price range and didn't offer nearly as much as others we stayed at in terms of amenities, breakfast, and service. There was nothing wrong with it just not wonderful as were our other stays.
We only stayed here for one night but we would definitely stay here again. On arrival we met with Gabriel the owners Son. What a lovely man he couldn't be more helpful. The room was fantastic everything provided. Even an electric blanket if needed. Its the little touch. Lovely garden surrounds the house. Very well kept. Breakfast was lovely. We only got to meet Winnie at breakfast and she is such a genuinely nice person and really funny. Really would highly recommend this B & B We will definitely stay again if we are up in Donegal. Very close to town within walking distance. 4 mins. Thank you for everything Winnie
A warm welcome. Spacious, airy room. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Easy access to the lovely town of Buncrana where there are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants. Certainly a place to go back to some day
This is a beautiful B&B situated a few minutes walk from the town of Buncrana on the beautiful Inishowen Peninsula. The rooms were very spacious, with a lovely en-suite shower and a plentiful supply of towels. There were tea making facilities in the room and the supplies were replenished on a daily basis. The breakfast was freshly cooked each morning and was most enjoyable and this was a welcome change from what has now become the norm in most modern hotels, where the breakfast has been cooked for many hours and you have to get everything yourself including cutting the bread you want to eat. Well worth a visit.
Winnie is a marvelous host. In our quest to search out music venues while touring Ireland, this was perhaps THE favorite B&B, it was private enough, clean, very comfortable, secure and far enough off the Main Street to be quite, yet close enough to walk, say,, 5 minutes to the middle of town and hit a couple of nice pubs and restaurants. (Local traditional Music on Thursday’s) Winnie served us a great breakfast, and we were on our way. What a doll, my wife just loved her sense of hospitality. Oh yes, one other thing,,,,we were fortunate that it was not the busy season. To catch the music on Thursday evening we had to come in a day early. We had booked for two days and Winnie was gracious enough to allow us to occupy our booking one night early. Where can you get such good personal service in today’s world? For sure at St. Bridget’s . Thank you Winnie, Lynn and I had a very enjoyable time there. Hopefully we can come back one day. Beautiful part of Ireland, too.…
I stayed here with my partner for one night, all I can say is wow, Winnie is a very charming and warm individual. The bedroom is very comfortable with loads of space, bed is amazing. The b&b is ideally situated in relation to the town, within 5 minutes of a walk, the breakfast the next day well you won't be hungry after it and done to perfection. Definitely one of the best places I've stayed in can't recommend it enough thank you very much Winnie
Walking distance to beach and town yet still quiet and off the main street. My room was large and light, with an ensuite shower and toilet, tea/coffee making facilities plus electric blanket which made it extra comfortable. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Winnie is very accommodating and goes way beyond to make one's stay comfortable. Breakfast is excellent and she will happily cater for special dietary needs. I will definitely stay here again.
