Myself and my husband really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. The room was very spacious and the décor was fabulous. Marie the host was very hospitable, friendly and helped us out very much with an issue we had. The breakfast was fab, I was served the nicest porridge. I would stay here again and would recommend this B&B - Jane and Declan

Just home from a 4 night stay here and had nothing to complain about. The house is a bit away from the town centre (about a minutes drive and about a 15 to 20 minutes walk) but the view of Buncrana from the front of the house was superb. In saying that the house is a beautiful house done up with old style mahogany furniture which gives. it a bit of character and I personally would not change this. Room was very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities and the en-suite was provided with towels and toiletries. Breakfasts were lovely with a good selection of fruit, cereals, bread etc. Marie was very friendly and welcoming with us and we couldn’t fault her. Would definitely return.

Our room was spacious clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Marie is friendly and helpful. Breakfast has fresh fruit yoghurt cereals as well as a choice of cooked food which was all well presented. The only criticism is the coffee. A pot of instant did not go down well.

We stayed at Caldra for one night recently on a cycle tour of Ireland's north coast. We received a warm welcome and had sheltered parking for the bicycles. The room had a great view, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good. It was about 15 minutes walk from the centre of town. I would use the B&B again.

We stayed here for a few nights with friends and toured the Inishowen Pennisula! What a treat! Marie is a very welcoming hostess who makes a point or remembering everyone's name!! Great accommodations and fabulous breakfasts! Enjoyed the entire experience.

Recently stayed here with friends. Marie is a warm and friendly host. The rooms are good and so are the beds. It has amazing views of the Lough and looking down into Buncrana itself. The breakfasts are yum as well.

Rooms are small. Bathrooms even smaller. No soap, shampoo, toilet paper or face clothes. Toilet had to be flushed numerous times. Beds were small and uncomfortable and the single bed in the room had no linens on it. Hostess not the most friendly.

Dear James, Thank you for your comments. Prior to your arrival at Caldra B&B your Booking Agent may have led you to believe you were booked into accommodation equivalent to a superior room in a 5* Spa Hotel. We operate a quality 4* competitively priced Bed & Breakfast and your Booking Agent booked and paid for your accommodation with us on that basis. Regarding your comments: Your en-suite room was 17'8" x 16'6" with a bay window overlooking Lough Swilly; a spacious room by any B&B standards. Your en-suite contained soap, shower cream and toilet rolls. Face cloths were available on request. We were not aware the cistern in the toilet had developed a fault; thank you for pointing this out to us. Your room contained 1 x New Double bed and 2 x Single beds. 1 x Double bed and 1 x Single bed were dressed with fresh linen which is our practice when catering for a room occupancy of 2 persons. You stored your luggage on top of the dressed single bed. You received a friendly greeting on arrival and had your luggage carried to your 1st floor room for you. You were treated with courtesy throughout your stay. Although you made no complaint at the time of your brief stay with us I will take on board your criticisms as they relate to a 4* B&B. Regards, Marie.

We really enjoyed Buncrana. Best conversation at the local pub, and good ice cream, too. Marie was a great host at the B&B. We walked across the street at dusk to view the lough and watch some cattle graze. Very peaceful.

Marie & her husband were great! We made arrangements with them to check in late but ending up getting there later then expected! The next morning we seen we had an exceptional view from our room! When we were on our way, Marie provided a map of the area & some suggestions of things to see. I also left a diamond earring at the property...I emailed her, she said she found it & thankfully she’s mailing it to me! 🙌🏼

Our party of four had two rooms. Both rooms were very comfortable. The beds were good, the pillows fluffy and the towels extremely soft. This was the most comfortable of the three BnB's we stayed in during our tour of Ireland. The parking was a little awkward, but we got used to it. Breakfast was very good. The home was purpose built for use as a BnB and is simply beautiful. If you can get the front rooms the view is fantastic. Otherwise, no view, but comfortable.
