Played the excellent and challenging golf course today and once more thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Good value for a good quality course that was presented and maintained to a good standard. I challenge anyone to play the excellent last four holes to their handicap. It was a pleasantly warm day so we adjourned after golf to the very nice outside area attached to the bar/lounge for a drink and something to eat. Unfortunately, the chicken salad my partner ordered and burger I ordered were both very disappointing and far from a good standard with neither of us finishing our food. I did mention this to the waiter and to be fair to him he did discount the bill despite me saying I did not want any discount but simply wanted them to know our experience. The hotel could do with improving the quality of their food in the bar area otherwise we had a good experience. I will be back again but I think might stick with a more reliable coffee/sandwich food selection in the bar.

During a one weeks golfing trip with a group of 8 we stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and played the golf course once. The golf course is nice, well maintained in the middle of much nature. It features good and fast green, often sloped, the bunkers are good. The driving range is ok, but gras areas to hit balls from are poor. The hotel rooms are reasonably well equipped with good bedding. One things that every member of the group was commenting on were the extremely low toilet seats that are not suitable for older generation. The TV in the rooms feature English, of course Irish and American channels. On the negative side; the WIFI signal was weak, slow and unstable, certainly in the room that we stayed at. The English breakfast was minimalistic for a 4-star hotel, there are extra charges for items like a cappuccino. The cost of drinks in the restaurants and bar are high by any standard, € 6 for a beer. The most negative observation was on the poor maintenance and house keeping, inside and outside of the hotel. On the outside this showed up as cigarette ends on the floor at the exterior doors and cracks in the exterior walls. Inside of the hotel, we noticed many things, too many to list. I attach a couple of photos. One showing chairs in the bar that we did not feel comfortable to sit on because they are stained all over. The bath accessoires not kept clean, a rubber mat in the bath was filthy on the back side. Make up of the bedding in the room was not done and required a special request at reception.

We stayed for 3 days for a family wedding and were delighted with the hotel. It is very modern and clean and our room was spacious and very comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful with lovely walks and views of the golf course and the lake. Shout out to the friendly staff in the golf shop who were happy to help us out with sessions on the driving range and putting green. The wedding itself was wonderful - beautifully decorated rooms and amazing food at the formal dinner, all very well organised. We also had a bbq on the patio the next day. If you're considering Tulfarris as a wedding venue, I'd thoroughly recommend it - spot on in every way.

We just spent a lovely day/ night at Tulfarris Hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The location of the hotel is just minutes from Blessington lakes(driving) Check in was very quick & the lady was very friendly. We dropped our bags off to the room & we’re very pleasantly surprised at how bright & modern our room was. We had a balcony overlooking the garden to the front area. The style, decor & colour scheme was lovely. We had lunch in the bar which was very tasty(soup & BLT toasties) & service was very efficient. The outside patio area is very well maintained & a lovely area to enjoy a drink overlooking the golf course with overhead patio heaters. We had dinner booked in the restaurant upstairs & we got a lovely table by the window with a view over the downstairs patio area & upper view over the golf course. The menu was a lovely selection & our starters were salmon which my hubby enjoyed & i enjoyed the Goats Cheese mousse. Mains : steak & I had the most beautiful tender feather blade beef. We both had cheese boards for desserts - very tasty. Well done to chef Karl👏🏻 Staff were friendly, attentive & professional. Breakfast the following morning was a buffet style, it was well organised & food was very tasty. A nice selection of pastries, fruit & yogurts also to choose from. Overall a lovely stay & would like to thank management/staff for the plate of treats & card that was delivered to our room to congratulate us on our anniversary. A lovely touch & much appreciated. Well done to all at Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Club

We availed of the 2 nights bed and breakfast with one evening meal and a round of golf. The room was spacious and clean. The evening meal was excellent with good quality produce. Service was great. The golf course is a great challenge and interesting but fair. We really enjoyed playing it. Breakfast was good too and the view beautiful. We really enjoyed the experience and the day of departure visited nearby Russborough House.

Was here for a wedding early May 2022. Lovely grounds and venue. Hotel is lovely. Food was nice and pints were very good for a hotel. Staff very pleasant. Only thing I would comment on is no option for cocktails at the wedding building, assume this is down to staffing post covid.

Hosted my daughter christening in Tulfarris last weekend in the fig tree restaurant. Could not recommend it more for a christening, communion or confirmation lunch. The food and service were outstanding on the day. I would especially like to compliment the professionalism of Annemaire Nolan who looked after my booking and liased with me beforehand to ensure all would be in order on the day which it was. I got married in tulfarris and even 7 years later the hotel just keep going from strength to strength. Beautiful hotel with the best in business staff .

Staff were pleasent, room was clean and nice. For a 4 star hotel you would expect simple things like water in the fridge and a temperature control in the room. It was a warm day and we had to leave our outside door open for cooler air to come in, as well as the noise from a wedding party and screaming children. The bar food was actually decent but the hotel restaurant food was below par, again all the staff were very pleasent. With the starter was ok but bland & forgetful (soup and the pate dishes), we then ordered the beef stew for a main, but it had soo much salt in it that we couldn't eat it. I ordered desert which is rare, just to get the rid of the salty after taste. After the dinner we had to drink about 2 pints of water, we were supposed to be hvaing a few drinks celebrating my girlfriends birthday but just ended up with the water. We tried the "free complimentary prosecco" which i can best describe as saccharine lemonade, i believe what we may have gotten is "Prodolce" which is a really sweet drink. There was a wedding there with a lot of kids running around dong their best high pitch squealing outside our bedroom door at door 2am kicking empty cans and throwing empty sweet wrappers around the halls, this is more a parental thing but in fairness i paid a lot for a room for the time i was there. To finish it off, the breakfast was very disappointing, watered down coffee, cold "hot food", not enough food for a full hotel, you had to rush for anything being brought out to the breakfast serving areas.
