Stayed in the Arches self-catering block which was formerly the coaching house - I suppose the double wooden doors shaped to allow horse drawn carriages through by the side of the house should have been the give-away! We had a dishwasher (which I didn't use) which Catherine had made sure had dishwasher tablets, salt and rinse-aid available at no cost,... More

We have stayed at Kilbrogan House in the Gardeners Retreat for a week at a time over the last 4 years. It has been a truly wonderful experience. The accommodation was very spacious and comfortable . The host, Catherine, was always very welcoming and the gardens a joy to behold. I am only sorry that she will not be doing... More

We have just spent two glorious nights at this beautiful house. Our hosts could not do enough for us and breakfast was fabulous. Home made bread and any number of choices really set us up for the day's sight seeing. Beautiful linen, excellent rooms furnished for the period made staying a very comfortable experience. Anyone visiting the area and wanting... More

For a long time now I have wanted to visit the farmland that my ancestors emigrated from. In addition to finding this lovely B&B, I found a genealogist that was willing to send me to a great source of information...a truly memorable experience. Catherine is a great hostess that offers a wonderful house, great breakfasts and an easy and friendly... More

I had gone to Cork on relatively short notice on a bit of a pilgrimage of ancestral roots. It was pure serendipity that I chose Kilbroken house for my stay while in the area. The accommodations were wonderful with an absolutely superb breakfast. Catherine was able to help me pin point the area of my ancestors in very short order... More

I did a week of self-catering back in May 2013. The room was perfectly appointed with a large kitchen/dining/living space, bathroom and large room with a Queen bed. It felt like a classic Irish cottage and the gardens surrounding the building were gorgeous. Beyond the reasonable prices, Catherine and David were very welcoming. I could list all the wonderful things... More

I had the pleasure of staying at Kilbrogan house whilst visiting bandon for the music festival. It far exceeded my expectations. Firstly, the central location was ideal for us as it was only a couple of minutes walk from the festival, yet I wasn't disturbed at all by any noise late at night. We received a warm welcome from David... More

We stayed at Kilbrogan House for 5 nights in the converted loft above the stables (also converted), at the back of an impressive Georgian House. We self catered in a very good kitchen which was part of a large room with comfortable sofa and chairs. The rooms were spacious, very well appointed, and included 2 bathrooms, one with a lovely...
