Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed at Laurel Lodge recently and was extremely impressed with everything.
Arriving late and enquiring if there was somewhere in town that I could get food, Dolores, the owner, very kindly suggested, ''Check yourself in, come back down when you're ready and I'll drop you into town''. Which she very kindly did, Giving me her card as I entered the restaurant/pub she said, ''Phone me when you're ready and we'll collect you.''
Everything about this establishment oozes class.
Crisp white linen, the fluffiest whitest towels you will find anywhere, beverages in the room, a choice of reading material, and a nice powerful shower.
On going downstairs for breakfast, yogurts, fresh strawberries and blueberries,a choice of cereals, orange juice and an extensive menu await.
Thanks Dolores, Mark, and son Conor for looking after me so well. Their other son was busy practicing his hurling skills. A future All-Ireland winner?
Laurel Lodge is already a winner, Stay there.

We stayed here on a one night stop off in Cork and we absolutely loved it! Our hosts Dolores and Mark were warm and welcoming and the house is a haven of taste and elegance. When we arrived Dolores presented us with a pot of tea and fresh baked apple tart and cream in the lounge. Delicious! They went out of their way to offer us a lift if we went out locally for a meal or drinks and they couldn't have been more accommodating.
We had a single and double room. The "single" room came with a beautiful double slay bed while the double room had a heavenly double bed and a single bed. There was complementary wine, delicious biscuits and a selection of teas and brewed coffee in both rooms. Everything was spotless and the towels in the ensuite were fluffy: and I mean really fluffy!.
Breakfast was fantastic with a large plate of strawberries and blueberries for us as well as cereals, yogurts, juices and homemade breads and jams. There was a breakfast menu from which we had two full Irish Breakfasts cooked to perfection and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup.
We had a wonderful time and our only negative is that we weren't staying for a week! It was my first trip away with my mother-in-law and I'm delighted to say she was highly impressed! Thank you for everything.

We were in the area for a party and Laurel House was suggested as a place to stay. Thankfully we got in ahead of everyone else as it was Five Star all the way. Upon arrival we were met by our great hosts Mark and Dolores. Complimentary Wine, Water etc. were laid on in the room as well as some light bites in the Living Area downstairs. I am in the Golf Travel Business and the three important areas are Good Bed, Breakfast and Shower. Laurel House excelled in each of these areas. The Breakfast was as good as you could imagine with homemade breads, jams, local procduce and berries from the garden - why go to five star hotel when you can just pop into Laurel House.
Mark even took us to party and offered to collect us....now that what I call service. Great views of the rolling irish countryside from our room. On behalf of the five of us who stayed there, a big thank you to Dolores, Mark and Boys. Best Wishes for the future and looking forward to popping in again very soon.

I have recently visited this beautiful B&B for a weekend visit with 5 other members of my family.

Not only is the house stunning and of the highest standard, it has one of the most picturesque backdrops i have seen.

Mark and Dolores and their sons word endlessly to make sure everything you need is provided for, nothing is too much trouble. Will 100% be staying at this B&B in future when over visiting family.

In my opinion, no other B&B or hotel would even come close!!!!!

See you guys soon,

Martine and Chris xxx

Myself and my fiancee stayed here recently for one night. From the moment we arrived Dolores was welcoming and friendly, offering us tea and warm homemade apple tart. Herself and her husband Mark were a pleasure to chat to and provided us with a wealth of useful information on places to visit and eat. The room and en-suite were fantastic, complete with complementary mini bottles of wine, homemade cookies and tea and coffee facilities. The bed was also extremely comfortable.
Unfortunately my trip was work related so we didn't get to take in many sights but we will definately be back. The lovely town of Clonakilty is only 15mins drive away and Inchydoney beach another 5mins further. Thanks again Dolores and Mark for making our business trip a little more comfortable.

Stayed here just for one night but realy enjoyed it. Room looked exactly like the photos on their website. Spotlessly clean and the beds are really comfortable. Great shower too. Dolores and Mark were great hosts and very friendly. Breakfast the next morning was gorgeous...Would definately recommend this b and b to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Bandon, it would be particularly suited for anyone looking for a base to tour West Cork

I stayed here for one night and from the moment my husband and I walked through the door, Mark and Delores made us feel at home. Our bedroom left nothing to be desired and was well equipped with drinks and a complimentary tray with a vast selection of tea, coffee and homemade biscuits. The bathroom was spotlessly clean with a good supply of towels and toiletries and the bed was even more comfortable than I could ever have expected.

After a comfortable night’s sleep, we took a short walk through the grounds and returned to tuck into a fabulous breakfast. The table was beautiful laid out with plenty of fresh fruit, lots of different preserves and some homemade bread. There was buffet of breakfast cereals, juice and yogurts and there was a good variety to choose from on the breakfast menu.
We will definitely be returning for an extended stay so that we can explore the lovely countryside as well as some the fabulous restaurants in the town of Bandon which is just a short drive away. Bandon Pottery is also close by and I believe this is well worth a visit.

To finish, I would just like to say a big thank you to Mark and Delores for a wonderful and memorable weekend and we will definitely be back in the very near future.
