Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely loved our stay! Such a beautiful place, helpful staff with great recommendations and amazing food. Perfect for anyone looking to stay in a quiet area, away from the crazy town. We will definitely be back!

The rooms were large, impeccable and everything looked brand new. Staff was caring and really made sure everything was perfect! The bed was one of the most comfortable our entire trip. We ate at the on site restaurant and bar and the food and drinks were amazing. We especially enjoyed listening to the fabulous musicians during our dinner. Will definitely come back and next time stay for more than one night!

We ate in Strollers Restaurant last night for the first trip of the season and as always we were not disappointed. There are a few lovely new staff members and they seem to have settled into their roles v well as if they were always a part of the staff, Dimitrios was a pleasure and looked after us really well, he was impeccably presented and had a good knowledge of the menu. He made us feel welcome and well looked after. Our food as always was flawless, the coconut prawns and pork belly were both delicious starters, the steak was nice but the star of the show was the duck, it was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to our next visit again already. Thank you.

The best experience! Staff amazing, bedding first class and not forgetting the breakfast. Best in Ireland to date. We come to Ireland twice a year normally March and November. Fortunately we came when their season had just opened here. 100% coming back!

This is a lovely family run hotel. The rooms are spacious (as is the bathroom) with comfortable beds and was very quiet. We arrived after a long drive and were greeted warmly and showed great consideration. Downstairs has a charming bar with a bar tender who regaled us with stories which we enjoyed immensely. There was a complete breakfast offered with eggs and bacon. Dinner was absolutely fabulous! We had lamb that was perfectly prepared. I was sorry our itinerary called for only one night here.

Very warm welcome at our arrival. Nice rooms and all in all a stylish location with a cosy atmosphere. Nice bar for a pre-dinner drink and a competent bar keeper to have an intelligent chat with. The dinner in the Strollers Bistro is hard to beat! Accompanied by a good wine just just enjoy your meal.

Just an absolute pleasure to stay here when coming to Ballybunion. Proximity to the course is a major plus but the hotel stands on it’s own. Rooms are a nice size and nicely appointed. The breakfast was excellent and although I didn’t eat dinner in the restaurant this time, it is usually top notch as well. The service is also excellent. Very friendly and very helpful! If you come to play golf at Ballybunion, you need to stay here.

4 golfers spent 2 nights here, playing Ballybunion 2 days. I've been here before, but it's better than ever. Nice rooms, beds, baths, great showers. Can do attitude. On top of a great breakfast, we had dinner here one night. Absolutely first rate! Dermot was everywhere you needed him. Highly recommended!

Beautiful rooms facing golf club 4 minute walk from magnificent beach. The food and service are second to none. But best of all is the atmosphere. This is a family run hotel and every client if made feel so special and part of the family. Nothing is too much trouble for Dermot, Cian, their parents and the staff. It is one of the friendliest places I have ever been. We did not want to leave. Very reasonably priced for such a high standard hotel.
