We stayed here for a weekend break and were made welcome from the moment we arrived to our departure.

Dolores was a fantastic hostess and was attentive to all of our needs. She made us feel at home and was a thoroughly delightful person.

The B&B was very well located and only a short walk from the Bunratty Castle/village. The surrounding area was tranquil and luscious - with accessible (free) places to park. Thorough COVID-19 precautions were in place and we felt extremely safe throughout our stay.

Our room was thoughtfully decorated and all facilities were perfect, including a very comfortable bed. There were many small touches that made this an outstanding stay - USB charging station, power shower, plenty of fresh towels and refrigerated water.

We also requested a vegan breakfast which exceeded our expectations, the cooked breakfast was delicious and accompanied by a variety of other tasty goods (extra toast, fresh fruit, cereals, pastries and more). Dolores ensured that we were sufficiently fed and made each morning a delight!

We would highly recommend the Bunratty Castle Mews B&B to anyone looking for a cosy place to stay and will be looking forward to returning in the future.

Thank you for a wonderful time!

We stayed at the castle mews for a night as we were visiting the Castle and doing the medieval banquet in Bunratty and it was a good location for us. The host was very nice and very welcoming who showed us to our room and pointed out the facilities of the place with a tray of cups and glasses to keep within the covid rules and showed us the breakfast room. The room was quite nice but a bit small but very comfortable and clean. We had a great breakfast with lots of choice and a nice atmosphere.

Our stay here was one of the highlights of our trip, and I can't say enough about how much I loved this place! Delores was so welcoming, informative, and an absolute delight. Our room was very romantic and cozy, with such a comfortable bed! I just loved all of the eclectic touches in every room, especially the hearts and sun catchers hanging in the windows. Delores and her husband, Gary, provided a very plentiful breakfast in the morning and couldn't have been more gracious. I wish I could have stayed longer!!!

This location has a splendid entrance, a summer playhouse outside and a small play area where young children can play a game of hoops. Parking a little tight not a huge amount of room for cars. We didn't have much interaction with the host a brief hello but I do understand this in the Covid age and I applaud the host for wearing a mask and having sanitiser bottles close by. The rooms are a little basic and the beds were not comfortable I feel the mattress would need replacing. A few quibbles where one of the rooms had a used bar of soap in the bathroom. And the bathroom shelving is just above the toilet, I banged my head on a couple of occasions when getting up. Breakfast was very good, decent options, lots of cakes which made my kids happy. A reasonable place on reflecting but could do with modernising.

We showed up early to check in without warning and our hosts were very accommodating and let us check in. The rooms were both very spacious and modern. The facilities in the bed and breakfast were very good. Each room has tea and coffee making facilities. One of the rooms had it in the room and the other had it available in the Hall. The location was good as it was very near the castle and folk park. There was drinking water available for the rooms too and this was very helpful. The rooms were nicely decorated and well heated. It was also good to have an extra blanket in the room in case you needed it. The breakfast was tasty too. Appropriate precautions were put in place in response to covid 19. The owners of the b&b were friendly and helpful.

Delightfully greeted upon arrival and shown around the home and our room. Was also provided with a great deal of information regarding local resources and locations in the area we may wish to visit. Hallway to the rooms was a wonderful gallery of early Hollywood movie stars.
The Hallway area also has a display for many of the local attractions and three complimentary wonderful massage chairs. Perfect after a day of walking around the sights or even after making the fifteen-minute walk back from one of the local restaurants.
We were offered the choice of two rooms, and while the one we chose was of smaller size, it had a wonderful rural view, including a castle and a paddock (just over the hedge) filled with livestock. Particularly, philosophical cows.
The room also had a very comfortable double bed, bedside cabinets, seats and shelving to accommodate a comfortable stay.
Ensuite bathroom was of sufficient size to accommodate a good shower, toilet, basin and sufficient shelving to place toiletries.
Complimentary breakfast was absolutely exceptional. The range of what was offered was incredible, and it is doubted anyone would have any cause for complaint
While located in the rural area, it was still within easy walking distance of the town centre of Bunratty.
Excellent free Wi-fi was also provided.

We stayed for 2 nights. First was a romantic break for myself and my husband and the second was a joint celebration double birthday.
I don't know if I can find the right words to describe how happy we were here.
Dolores and Gerry are the nicest warmest people. They add to the entire experience. The house is gorgeous. Everywhere you go, every room every hall way there's always something to look at.
We felt like we were at home it was so welcoming and warm and cosy and yet modern and accommodating like a hotel. I've no idea how they pulled this off.
The breakfast was amazing. The selection was vast. Also every morning there are homemade fresh brown bread and scones that Dolores made herself.
We've already planned more trips to get back there as soon as possible.
Thank you Dolores and Gerry for making a usual get away into something so special and exceptional.

We arrived long before check-in, since our flight got in at the crack of dawn. Dolores was so friendly and accommodating! She offered us a place in the outdoor tent to relax while she set up our rooms, and had a couple of them ready in no time (we had 4 rooms for a bigger group of 2 families). The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. We did Durty Nelly’s for lunch and the Bunratty banquet for dinner, and it was all less than a 5 minute drive away. Breakfast had a huge selection. We left the next morning, and ended up having an issue with lost bags being delivered there, after we checked out and had moved on. Dolores worked with the airline and the courier to have the bags sent on to our next location, and was incredibly responsive to my emails throughout. Just an all around amazing experience. Would absolutely go back!

Bunratty was definitely the most quirky place we stayed in during our recent holiday to Ireland. It's well situated, clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the breakfast which includes apple pie and bread and butter pudding on the buffet. The room was tiny, the bathroom even smaller and the corridors to the room were very narrow. However, in the narrow corridor there are 3 or 4 chairs with massage cushions you can "relax your tush on" says Delores the owner. Next to that is an air fryer, microwave, fridge with bottles of iced water and milk. Then there is a quiet room to read, and another room which is ideal if you are a family group to socialise. Outside a summer house which Delores told me you could use to go and eat your food you've cooked in the air fryer! The rooms are perhaps a bit overstuffed with personal touches, but Delores is delightful and works hard to ensure guests have everything they need. Whilst we were there for only one night whilst visiting Bunratty Castle Heritage Park **** and the Creamy Pub with live traditional music ***** it was a good stay and we met American, Mexican, South African visitors too.
