Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We have just enjoyed a 3 night stay in the family Room. Room is beautiful very spacious and spotless clean. Breakfast every morning was beautiful especially the scrambled eggs and joe had options for all my children. House was warm, fresh towels everyday and beautiful smell of fresh washing throughout the house. We really enjoyed our stay and will definently be back. Joe was a gentleman and just couldn’t do enough for us.

Three of us decided to stay a few days before and after our organized tour. Rather than stay at the Shannon Airport, we opted for the Courtyard B&B in Bunratty. It was the best place we stayed during our ten day tour!
Joe McCloskey, has created a lovely home away from home. The B&B has a nice sitting room with a fireplace (it was summer, so unused), very nice rooms, and extremely comfortable beds, As far as breakfast, Joe cooks everything to order, and presents it to you piping hot. There is a nice selection of options: fruit, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, white or black puddings, toast, and of course coffee or tea.
Joe is willing to spend some time with you, telling you great stories and making also touristy, which provides a kitschy staged performance of a feast. Given the choice of staying at the airport or staying in Bunratty, our stay at the Courtyard was definitely a good choice. It's also an easy taxi ride or bus ride to the Shannon Airport, as well as other nearby towns such as Limerick or Ennis.
I highly recommend staying at the Courtyard B&B.

This B&B is located so conveniently to Bunratty Castle that you can Park your vehicle and walk into town and see all you need to see. The host John was very accommodating and had good information about what to see and how to get around. Breakfast in the morning was very good. Would recommend this place for sure

Ideally situated, about 400 yards from the Castle, still sufficiently away from the main road to offer a quiet environment. Quite a nice building, very well maintained, fine breakfast - and many thanks to Joe’s hospitality from check-in to check-out.
The price is simply unbeatable at around 100€ B&B.

My family stayed at this B&B during our trip to Ireland. We reserved a large family room that perfectly suited our needs. The B&B was extremely clean and neat. The hosts were wonderful. Breakfast was excellent. The location of the bed-and-breakfast is convenient to the village and the folk park at the castle.

We called in looking for lunch. Not sure how much these premises are used by the public for general coffee stops/lunch etc, but owner was very accommodating and made us lunch. Friendly staff with great sightseeing suggestions for visitors.

We stayed here after we booked into the medieval banquet at Bunratty castle and it’s a really nice place to stay. From the moment you walk in you are welcomed by Joe who’s friendly and a great host, the rooms and they had a great en-suite with a shower and bath. Joe made a fantastic breakfast the next day (although I was a little delicate from the night before so couldn’t eat much) the B&B is walking distance to Bunratty castle and folk park which was great and has plenty of bars for you to visit. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our 2nd time to stay @ The Courtyard. This time it's under new management, Joe the new owner is a wonderful & friendly host, it really does feel as if you are a welcomed guest in his house. The breakfast as ever was tasty, filling and there was a great choice of breakfast options. Joe was also very knowledgeable about the local area and sights of interest to see within the locality & further afield. A wonderful & memorable staycation may more so by Loe & the welcome @ Courtyard. We will be back

Are there any dogs on the premises please?

No we did not see any dogs.if this is an issue for you, I would suggest you email them as I do not know what their policy is. for us - it would not have been a problem if there were dogs.

for us on a Saturday morning was only 15 min. Not sure on a weekday if it is busier, but allow time for dropping off a car as I can see that taking longer for car inspections/drop offs. we got to the airport early, and right behind us came 7 other cars at the same time! so we were glad we were 2nd in line.

They were great giving us access to iron/board in a little room with washing machines/ tumble dryers. They certainly offer a laundry service. Whether they allow guests access, I'm not sure.
