Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The glowing reviews are well deserved. Joe and Caroline run a warm and welcoming B&B that not only provides exceptional value for money, but exceptional service too. It’s within easy walking distance of Bunratty Castle and the great folk park, as well as the shopping village. Everything’s right there. Easy to find - it’s on your left as you enter, not far from the motorway exit. Quiet and with free parking. Our room was delightfully comfortable, with plenty of space and everything we required. Joe runs his breakfast service efficiently and with loads of Irish charm. We felt like valued guests, and could see others did too. It was without a doubt the best B&B we stayed in during our two week self-driving tour of Ireland. We couldn’t be more grateful to Joe for making our visit so enjoyable. Highly recommended.

We stayed here on the start and the end of our tour. Very clean and near everything. Breakfast is what many refer to as a full Irish breakfast and more. It is in walking distance of shops, restaurants, and Bunratty Castle.

As owner and host Joe offers an unbeatable home-away-from-home B&B experience. Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. Delicious breakfast cooked to order by Joe himself. A relaxing lounge area. A super location next door to the world-famous Irish Folk Park & Village (great for the whole family). And most important, AFFORDABLE! We’ll be back Joe…

Ideally situated, about 400 yards from the Castle, still sufficiently away from the main road to offer a quiet environment. Quite a nice building, very well maintained, fine breakfast - and many thanks to Joe’s hospitality from check-in to check-out. The price is simply unbeatable at around 100€ B&B.

We stayed here both before and after a bike tour through the west of Ireland. Joe is a wonderful host, and does, indeed, offer a lovely cooked-to-order breakfast he makes himself. The inn is cozy and comfortable, and Joe goes out of his way to assist his guests with everything from things to do in the area, to taxi and bus schedules. I can't recommend Joe's place enough!

What a great place to stay! I came to bunratty specifically for the folk park and castle and really enjoyed my accommodations here. Joe was super helpful during my stay, and also cooks a mean breakfast in the mornings. He was willing to go the extra mile and help me figure out the bus schedule as I was leaving the B&B to continue my vacation. I really appreciated his effort and he truly added to my experience here. The room I was in was clean, spacious, and had a lovely bathroom attached, as well as a comfy bed. Each of the rooms here was different, but perfect for almost any group staying here. If I ever come back to Bunratty I’ll be sure to stay here!
