Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a wonderful stay at Bunratty Villa. We stayed two nights to explore the Castle and Folk Park nearby. We arrived to check in around 3pm and met Phil. She provided tea, cookies and cakes for us. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a decent sized bathroom and a view of the field with horses. Breakfast had a good selection of cereals, scones, fruit, yogurt, tea and coffee, plus the choice of a full Irish breakfast, pancakes, salmon with eggs, or porridge. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Location is down the road from Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. Definitely recommend this B&B to anyone visiting this area!

Friendly welcome on arrival including tea and biscuits. Very clean, comfortable room. Nice bathroom with large soft towels. Weather was very hot when we were there but a fan was provided on request so we were able to sleep. It was great to be able to take a drink out into the gardens to sit and enjoy the fine weather. Good breakfast. All the family very friendly and helpful. It was 10 to 15 minutes easy walk to the village where there were several pubs to eat. We tried The Creamery, very much pub food, which arrived suspiciously fast but ok. We preferred PJ Clarkes, more variety and better quality. There is a bus from the village to Limerick and beyond if you don't want to drive. Would definitely stay at Bunratty Villas if we were in the area again.

Jackie Burns has a great location with an easy walk to the Castle and Folk Park. This was the 3rd trip to Ireland for my wife and the 3rd time we stayed at Bunratty Villa. Their breakfast was excellent. This was our 1st two nights in Ireland and I had forgotten to bring the correct converter. They loaned me one during our stay. I would definitely stay here if we return to Ireland.

"Mom" was very eager to make sure we were taken care of and comfortable. This was our first stop from the airport after our transatlantic flight; we were beat. "Mom" was very accommodating and made us tea and biscuits. Bunratty Villa appears to be a site built specific b and b; the rooms were neat and clean. The b & b is a minute drive to Bunratty Castle and folk park. Dirty Nelly's pub is just a short walk from the castle, a good place for a pint after sightseeing. A good place for dinner is the Creamery across the street from Dirty Nelly's; a lot of locals were eating there; the food was good and fairly inexpensive. The full Irish breakfast was made to order and very tasty.

When we visit Ireland, we tend to stay in Bunratty the night before our return flight because of the close proximity to Shannon Airport. This was our second time staying at Bunratty Villa, and we will continue to use it as our base. The property is beautiful. The rooms are large, the shower is large (with great water pressure), and breakfast is made to order. The lady of the house is lovely, and she makes us feel at home while we jam 10 pounds of souvenirs into a 5 pound bag for the flight home.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was awesome and the staff very warm and helpful. The setting is beautiful and it is near the town, castle and the winery. We would highly recommend this B & B for a stay in Bunratty, a town that was interesting and beautiful.

We love Bunratty Villa. Beautiful comfortable rooms, and awesome breakfasts ordered from a menu plus a buffet of scones, fruit, cereal, yoghurt etc. Phil and Jackie are always there with a warm welcome. Jackie helps with any computer assistance you may need. We drive quite a long distance and return at night rather than book lodging elsewhere. It is hands down the very best!!!

We thought we had stayed at our best B&B earlier in our 8 day Ireland trip until we checked in here for our last two nights. The bed in our room was like one at a luxury hotel, with enough room for luggage w/o feeling cramped. Bottled water daily was a nice touch. Breakfast dining area with white linens beautiful place settings. We had an early flight so they accommodated us with breakfast earlier than their usual time. Had a issue with the shower not shutting off and Jack was quick to remedy it.
Close to Shannon Airport and Bunratty Castle.
Dining tip, eat at Durty Nelly’s one night.

This place is beautiful and walking distance to the castle. Its a great location for exploring the region. The owners and staff are very friendly and meet you at check in. Our room was clean, the bathroom spacious, and the beds some of the most comfortable we slept in all trip. Great value, highly recommend!

A very nice family. The room in the nice house was very clean and quiet. A wide choice for breakfast. We stayed here for two nights and spent a very good time here. When we arrived, we have got a coffee or a tea.

We took a taxi from the villa the innkeepers called for us. The ride was about 15 minutes to the airport. Taxi driver was so nice he actually escorted us into the airport and showed us where to check in.

Day trips. Would we be able to get bus for day trips....not looking to drive if we don't have to
Answer from MistyJJB
Bunratty, Ireland9 contributions7 helpful votes
Thank you for your enquiry, there are two bus tour companies now coming through the Village of Bunratty which are doing day tours, paddywagontours or 4tours barrett tours both of these companies will do a pick up and drop off in the the Village. There are also Bus Eireann buses, and travel passes can be purchased on line at buseireann which allow you to arrange your own tour using these passes to get from location to location. Hope this helps. Regards, Jackie Bunratty Villa.
