Our last day in Newtown Cove Caravan & Camping Park. Such a fab holiday that I decided to let everyone else here in on the action. Quiet, safe & spotless site with games room, enclosed playground and basketball court. Although the park is full the facilities are so well managed. Shower/toilet block is accessed via a fob & is spotless. Showers are hot at all hours of day at a very reasonable euro for 5.5 mins. Campers Kitchen has kettle, microwave, hobs, freezer & toaster and is spotless too. There is even a bath at the back of the shower block! Guillamene for swimming is less than a kilometre away & a super spot while Tramore is just a mile walk mostly pathway all the way. Have had a relaxing fab break & have already enquired about booking for next year!

Booked our 3rd visit to Newtown Cove Caravan and Camping Park in March ‘22 for a stay in June ‘22 for 7 nights with our 6-man tent. The fact that this would be our 3rd visit speaks for itself. The campsite is clean, nicely maintained and there has been reinvestment to the facilities each year. It’s is situated a short walk from the very beautiful Guillamene Newtown Cove and a great location for exploring the Copper Coast. We booked to return with our same 6-man tent. On our previous visits our children were unable to join myself and my husband due to their work commitments but this year they made special arrangements so they could join us for 2 nights. I explained this to Sarah when I booked in March and she told me that I would need to contact her prior to arrival with their names, car registration details, dates they would be on site and to pay the extra charges. This I did a week before arrival. I spoke to John by phone who said Sarah was not available that day and he told me to email the details to Sarah which I did. The following morning, I received a most aggressive phone call from Sarah saying no way could we have 6 people staying in our tent. She said she never agreed to this and didn’t think they would be adults. Their ages range from 19-23 years and the fact that I was booking extra car parking spaces and that they were taking time off work . . . Would this not have been an indication of their ages. I don’t know what she perceived us to do but having stayed previously I would have expected our reputation to stand. We did not cause any trouble, were very respectful of all facilities and actually appreciated the late-night noise curfew . . . as you will appreciate staying in a tent provides little barrier to noise outside. So, we had no choice but to cancel our holiday. Our kids had gone to a lot of trouble to get time off from work which was all very disappointing as we had tried for 3 years to arrange this camping holiday together. My money was refunded which was little consolation as we could not find alternative accommodation at such short notice. Sarah’s attitude was hostile to say the very least and certainly did not extend any Céad Míle Fáilte or warmth of Irish hospitality.

Honestly - the best site ever! You can clearly see how impeccable the regular maintenance is and how the money coming in, goes right back into the facility with more upgrades and amenities ... They leave nothing to chance and it is clear that everything is methodically done to make everyone’s stay as pleasant as possible Showers are brilliant and clean. Pitches are immaculate and the hard plastic grates with large gravel over top ensures there is no mud there - ever. Electric vehicle charging points. Just a First Class facility in every possible way! We will definitely be back again on our next trip! Thank you John and Sarah !

Great stay at this beautiful site. Showers are extra at €1 each but they are lovely with good pressure ! Great campers lounge with kettle and toaster and microwave. Small playground on site is perfect for kids. TV room looked great too. Spotlessly clean site 👍

Ideal for caravan parking. Good facilities, clean and well organised . It is easy to see that the owners take pride in the place and the service they offer. Very good value. Nice walks directly from the park. Will definitely be visiting again sometime soon.

We had a 2 week stay recently and loved every minute. The campsite is perfectly situated. Close to all amenities yet far enough away to be so peaceful. A beautiful stroll to the cove for a walk and swim. The owners keep the site really well maintained. Hygiene standards were great as was security on the site. We had an injury with one of the kids and John and Sarah were so helpful and kind. The kids had a ball and the park is small enough that they were never far away. We are already planning our return trip.

My friend had gone to view a mobile home they were going to stay in with her family. The kids then needed to use the toilet so used the facilities and were screamed at by the staff. They were also called names the youngest being 4. Needless to say they won’t be staying there now or any of us. Unnecessary behaviour from staff.

Just home from a 2 night weekend stay. First impressions very good when we drove in. The whole campsite well kept. Owners have a lot of pride in it. Made feel very welcome on arrival and John called to our pitch the morning we were leaving to check how was our stay. Lovely and quite at night so no issues getting kids to sleep. Will definately be booking again. This has become our no.1 go to spot for a few nights away.

Extremely well maintained and perfectly sized site for first time Motorhomers, in the early stages of our Great Irish Road Trip, during Covid. Owner very welcoming & provided us with lots of useful local information. No hesitation, whatsoever, in providing a fulsome endorsement for this site.
