Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My partner and I stayed a couple of nights. We very much liked the clean and spacious room (with views overlooking the harbour); the warm welcome from the owner; and the short walking distance to downtown Youghal. We had a couple of great nights' sleep. We recommend Glen House for anyone wishing to stay very close to the town itself.

Note that, in July 2022, Glen House was not offering breakfast. Also note that it is located up a relatively steep hill that might pose challenges to those with movement issues--or those not used to driving and parking in tight spots!)

Our upstairs front bedroom had a beautiful view and a good clean bathroom. The breakfast was lovely and Mary was able to suggest places to visit. An easy walk to the Main Street and harbour. We were able to park our hire car on site.

What a cute little place to stay! Perfect location to cruise the town and Mary is so sweet! Again this is a bed and breakfast and it is so cute and cozy-nice shower and comfy beds-you really feel you are staying in someone's house here and that's great! Great full breakfast especially getting to see Mary in the morning and enjoying her yumy food. Would definitely stay here again if/when we come back toYoughal.

Reserved by phone when planning to do a cycle in Dungarvan. Told them we were going to be late down and up early the next morning to cycle, very pleased when a query re a 6.30 breakfast wasn't rejected. So far so good.
I called from the motorway about 8.30pm to advise we were about 30 mins away, to be told she thought we were not coming so she let the room half an hour before.
They had my number but never called to check if we were coming. When booking they never asked for me to call to reconfirm. So we were left in the lurch, and left with a bad impression of this establishment.
If you plan on booking make sure you arrive early, or have a plan B!!!

Lovely homely B&B run by the delightfully friendly hostess, Mary. The breakfast was amazing, rooms clean and quiet, and it is situated in a great location with nice views of the bay and only a few minutes walk to the centre of the town. We stayed for two nights and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Youghal.

Glen House B & B is a lovely family run quiet B and B. Mary made us very welcome after we were let down by a nearby facility.
Mary welcomes you as if you were a family member. Lovely quiet airy room with a view of the harbour.
No bath but a good electric shower.
Will be back if in Youghal again.

Ideal place for a short stay. Mary takes a real interest in her guests and likes a chat! We stayed in Youghal for our first night this year because Stena Line have brought forward their afternoon sailing times from Fishguard.
