My family and I stopped in with friends there was 11 in total in our party from once we entered the staff were nothing but helping and accomadating to everything that we wanted but that was not the highlight of our experience it was the food starter main course and even the desserts. I would have to say compliments to the chef the food was absolutely fabulous I can not recommend any one dish because we all had deferent dishes and they were all fabulous once agin thank you to the staff
The hotel entrance should be more signage to show where reception is but it's at the back well signed. The whole experience was amazing. Clean fresh and new design inside an old building. Room immaculate and all channels on TV and had spare blanket and pillows which we needed. No breakfast served in hotel but the cook offered us toast and orange juice. We got top up if coffee and teas and milk and cups for the room. It had easy access from first floor although no lift for disabled customers. Easy to go out for a smoke and also had covered dining out area . Staff friendly and you were left alone without being bothered. Front of house rooms mouser than back but we didn't mind. I will definitely be returning there. Thank you to all staff in hotel for a wonderful stay. Xxx
We took a day trip down to Youghal and after a long walk we decided to head in here for some dinner. We got Chicken wings €12.50 and they were very nice and large. The Caesar salad €11.50 was delicious my Mother said. The cheese cake €6.50 It had a fudgie base and wasn't that great. The menu was very reasonably priced and The staff were very nice. We will definetly give this place another visit next time we are in Youghal.
Myself and my husband stayed in this hotel Jan this year. Rooms was spacious, Comfortable and very clean. Also great price for Sat night. We eat in the the restaurant that day all I can say is the food was 10 out 10. Onion rings were to die for. Also the staff and owners were very nice, friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Youghal is a great little town to visit and the hotel in very central to all amenities. I would definitely recommend this hotel. They also have a place called brunch and lunch up the road. Food is fantastic there as well.
I had two separate bookings for this hotel (1 for a Thursday, and 1 for Friday & Saturday) for an Ironman event in Aug22. The hotel cancelled both my bookings on separate occasions over 1 month after I had booked them apparently due to overbooking, I find this hard to believe, if they had overbooked surely the hotel would have been in contact sooner. Absolutely ridiculous, I'm furious to say the least. I'm now left to find alternative accommodation, only available options are further out from the town which will mean travelling into Youghal in the v.early morning before my Ironman event.
Went in for a meal with my dad tonight and had the special tonight fillet stake it was like trying to eat an old shoe it was very special alright for 27 euros . I'm off home now to have something to eat!!!!
Had a beefburger with chips during the day time during the past week and I have to say it was very disappointing. I received a thimble sized portion of coleslaw, about 12 chips served in a little stainless steel bucket that disguises the very small portion and a bun burger containing 2 very thin pieces of beef with lettuce and a rasher and relish. For 17 Euro this was and is really poor, poor value for money. In The local or The Anchor in nearby Dungarvan, for about 4 or 5 euro less during the day, a burger meal will beat this fare hands down for quality and size. No salad portion on the plate at all in The Imperial. I really find it difficult to understand how this portion of food is only €1.50 less than say their 12 hour slow cooked beef that comes with lots of veg and beef in a nice big bowl. In my humble opinion €17 is severely overpriced for a very average burger and chips. If they could only give more chips on the plate and say a nice mix of a salad bowl instead of the silly shiny bucket and a nice thick minced meat burger I would gladly pay €17. This is genuine feedback to a restaurant I used to visit regularly pre covid and I want to see them succeed but on this evidence I wont be rushing back. I will try it again in the future in the hope that they will either ammend their menu or their prices. The staff were great by the way, no complaints there.…
This hotel is centrally located in Youghal Town. There are several parking options close by and most are free. The room has everything you need and is clean. I was delighted that it had a bath. I would recommend this hotel for an overnight stay. Youghal itself is a lovely town with a huge beach and lots of walking options. There are nice restaurants and all of the big supermarkets. I really enjoyed my overnight in Youghal.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night and it was a lovely stay. Paul at check in desk was lovely. We checked in on spur of moment, we had nothing previously booked so we were lucky to get a room. Room was ready in about half an hour for us so we had a drink in the bar which is lovely. Room very cosy , and clean .Comfortable bed , great shower. It’s an old style hotel so basic but everything you need . Only downside was the toilet when flushed, and sink after water being on, made an awful noise which lasted a few minutes. I think the hotel is quiet old so the plumbing just must be very old. It was a little distracting. We had a meal that evening in the bar , great set up big area off the bar for dining. Staff very attentive and it was honestly the best food I’ve tasted in a long time. I had the Thai green curry best I have ever tasted and my husband had fish and chips , he said it was delicious. No car park but plenty of parking available across the road or just down the road from hotel. It was not a problem at all. Overall had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel.…
