Where do I even start? Everything about this stay was absolutely perfect--what a find Roseville House was! Richie is an amazing host--not just of this B&B, but for the town of Youghal as a whole. He has such clear love for and pride in his hometown and that comes through in all of his amazing recommendations for local restaurants and pubs, hikes, and sites to see. He will not steer you wrong. His love for and pride in his childhood home is also clear and the way the guest suites at the house have been remodeled is just stunning. The spaces are lovely and every detail has been thought of. The bathroom is very spacious and thoughtfully laid out and was one of the best and most functional of anywhere we stayed in Ireland. The location of the house in town is also fabulous--really close to all the good pubs and restaurants and sites you've come to see. Parking was also easy (which is not always the case in a town proper). And finally, about breakfast. As I told Richie, he is completely underselling it by calling it "continental". There were still warm! croissants and toast, other pastries, just cooked eggs, yogurt, fruit, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something! It was excellent. And in case you want to have any other meals in your suite, there is even a small kitchonette area with a fridge, toaster, dishes, utensils etc. Again, really thoughtful. I cannot say enough about Roseville House!

Cannot recommend Roseville House highly enough. I arrived in Youghal last Thursday after a long trip and had intended to stay just for one night. As soon as Caroline showed me into the Garden Suite I decided to stay for two!
Lovely, roomy suite with a huge and very comfortable bed and pillows, fantastic en suite with power shower, lots of storage for clothes. The suite was extremely clean and very tastefully decorated with detail to ensure the highest comfort for guests. There was also a secret larder in the suite, stocked up with modern coffee machine, a huge range of teas, various cereals, jams & preserves, a fridge stocked with milk and 2 huge glass bottles of fresh water. Pretty much everything and more.
If that wasn't enough, your breakfast is delivered to your room at a time that suits the guest. I was delighted to be handed a lovely hamper full of fresh pastries, toast, butter, fresh & delicious local yoghurt, a huge container of assorted fresh berries & fruits, and a huge canister of fresh orange juice...just delicious! There is a roomy table in the suite to eat this lovely breakfast, but on a sunny day you can sit outside on tables & chairs in the award winning garden.
I felt completely spoilt with the luxurious suite, breakfast and general fantastic attention to every detail, whilst paying a more than reasonable price. It felt like a home, but a home with lots of luxuries and surprises.
Also want to say that Caroline and Ritchie went above and beyond to make me feel welcome at Roseville and in Youghal. Caroline suggested I go see Ritchie and his fellow band mates play at the local pub, The Nook. The music was excellent, the locals really friendly and Richie introduced me to everyone. On my 2nd day, Ritchie suggested I book a walking tour of Medieval Youghal and gave me directions of where to go. As it was a cloudy day and he knew I was on foot, he was also kind enough to offer to pick me up if I got caught in the rain. Luckily I avoided the rain, but again really impressed by the kindness and thought given.
The friendliness of the locals and the generous hospitality provided by Ritchie and Caroline made me feel sad to leave Roseville and Youghal. I loved the Garden Suite - ideal setting for a romantic getaway, or a well deserved treat for loved ones. I'd give it 11 out of 10 if I could, and I hope to come and stay again. Thanks Caroline & Ritchie, you are superb hosts!

Had the opportunity to come to Roseville and check the place out after meeting Richie in the US. This was by far one the best stays in the whole trip. Every morning you are greeted with a very nice breakfast basket and everything is delicious. And their hospitality is unbeatable. This is a must stay if you are in the area it’s beautiful quiet and very close the beach. I couldn’t recommend coming here enough it’s worth every bit of it

A large tastefully decorated and restful room ideally located in the centre of Youghal. Especially well located for those competing in the IRONMAN event. Next to registration on the run route and easy walking distance from transition and the town centre.

Staying at Roseville simplified all the IRONMAN admin and the hassle of driving into and out of the town with the roads mostly closed for 4 days.

Best of all though is the hosts hospitality and friendliness which is a reflection of the atmosphere in the town.

We stayed at Roseville during the Ironman event and could not have asked for a better place to stay!
The attention to detail was perfect and the room came with a full breakfast basket, a kettle and a toaster - everything we needed was there.
The garden was a peaceful haven from the festivities and was an excellent place to eat dinners we’d brought back from local takeaways.
Richie & Caroline were the best, so welcoming and always with a great suggestion and advice on where to go in town. We were lucky enough to catch Richie playing with his band at a local pub one evening too!
Thank you so much, we had an incredible time and we would love to come back!

Our stay at Roseville House was wonderful! Richie and Caroline made our stay extremely easy. The room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and perfectly clean. We were provided with a mini kitchen with tea, coffee, milk, water and cereals as well as a lovely breakfast brought to the room everyday. The location is excellent - right in the centre of town. I'll definitely be staying there again on my next trip to Youghal.

The most hospitable, stunning B&B I've ever visited. The rooms were of a different level. Breakfast delivered to my door each morning, an array of hot pastries, buttered toast, freshly squeezed oj, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt and a plethoraof teas & coffees. Room had a larder with kettle, coffee machine, high end cookies, milk, water, and plenty of hot drinks! Right in the heart of town yet so quiet. Nothing was too much trouble for Richie-the owner, he was so professional and friendly... he even offered a lift to a church for a funeral I was attending. I cannot recommend Roseville highly enough... simply outstanding!

Without a doubt, this is one of the most stunning places I have ever stayed. We stayed in the upstairs garden suite and it was comparable to a boutique hotel, if not nicer! The attention to detail is impeccable and the decor is modern and stylish while in keeping with the country feel of the house. The freestanding bath in the bathroom adds a real touch of luxury. The walled garden adds an element of privacy but also gives romantic feel to the area. Richie and his wife Caroline were both friendly and helpful, Richie gave all the local recommendations including where to have dinner and watch pubs had live music. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely beautiful and delivered in a gorgeous picnic basket. I will 100% be returning and would recommend Roseville to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the Youghal region.

We stayed in the Garden Suite: extremely comfortable large room with luxury bathroom, well appointed with nice details and original artwork. Larder cupboard/mini kitchenette provided everything we needed for breakfast and snacks, plus a fresh basket of breakfast goodies delivered in the morning. Helpful and flexible welcome by the host Richie. Wish we were staying for more than one night.

We got a warm welcome the moment we arrived at Roseville House. Richie was a great host. The room was beautifully decorated. It had a lovely relaxing ambiance. The comfort & warmth was amazing. The bathroom had a most beautiful bath, seperate shower & again the decor was gorgeous. We had a lovely relaxing sleep in the very comfortable bed.
In the morning Richie arrive with the most beautiful continental breakfast. Pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, there was also a larder with a fridge, plenty milk & bottled water, a coffee machine, teabags, jam, marmalade & lovely chocolate chip cookies.
We would highly recommend Roseville House. We would give it 11/10.
We will be going back again.
