Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here the night before a wedding at Cabra castle, had a great nights sleep and Sheila is so friendly and did more than enough for us in the morning at breakfast offering us whatever we wanted. The B&B is in a great location to enjoy Kingscourt’s many great friendly pubs! I would 100% recommend staying here if you’re looking for somewhere in the area. Thank you Sheila for making our first night in Ireland so welcoming.

Sheila the owner is a kind friendly lady nothing is too much trouble for her. Stayed her for a wedding at the castle. Sheila organised and booked the taxi to collect us from the airport and back again. If the girls were running behind Sheila would offer to drop us into town. Nothing was too much trouble for this lady. Accommodation was comfortable breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend.

I was lucky enough to stay a night at the Hollow Stream Bed & Breakfast. Being far away from home in Chicago, Sheila and the B&B made me feel like family. I didn't want to leave! The location, room, breakfast and hospitality were all beyond perfect. I would recommend Hallow Stream to anyone.

I stayed here for a couple of nights recently and it is lovely. The owner Sheila is very welcoming and makes you feel very at home. The rooms are spotless and the one I was in was large and bright and airy. Even though the B & B is on a busy road it is very quiet, especially at night. I would definitely recommend trying this little gem.

Sheila the host was fantastic and very attentive - made a great breakfast after a night of celebrations...even dropped me back to the Castle which was so nice of her. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Kingscourt! Thanks Steve

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting relatives in Bailliebourough , Shelia couldn't do enough for us lovely rooms and good breakfast. We even managed a visit to Gartlans in Kingscourt for a few pints of Guiness. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for one night attending a wedding at Cabra castle. Owners were so friendly and welcoming. Comfy beds with no noise. Gave us a lift to collect our cars in the morning. Breakfast was beautiful and nothing was too much trouble. Really lovely, lovely people. Highly recommend a stay here :)

Sheila was a perfect host. Very welcoming to her B&B and went out of her way to make our stay a good one. Comortable room and a good breakfast. Just what we needed when attending a wedding nearby. Thank you!

Chaotic is the best word to describe this B& B. I totally agree with previous reviewer regarding ironing board in entrance hall. That appears to be its permanent resting place. It also joined by other items which immediately gives an indication of what is to come. The room was ok but the towels were perfect for exfoliating without a scrub. Hard was not the word for them. Having gone to the 'dining room' at the appointed time this is where the real chaos begin. In this tiny room containing 2 tables not nearly enough to house the quests one was expected to find ones way through this totally disorganised area and find the juice which of the concentrated variety in its carton in the fridge. The cereals where in boxes on top the fridge as was the butter and jams. The breads were down to the last slices in their wrappers which you had toast yourself. Some of the other quests offered their seats but we were eventually moved to another room which was full of clutter. The cooked breakfast was by far the smallest I have ever seen so I recommend to you drive quickly by Hollow Stream. Lots of really nice B & Bs in the general area.
