Heard about the old post inn through friends, and we went for Sunday lunch. We travelled over an hour to get to it and I have to say it is well worth the drive. Food, staff, atmosphere were all amazing. And we will definitely be back.

I attended a wedding here at the end of July and all I can say is wow! The building itself is beautiful and the decor is just lovely. The meal was superb, I had beef for main course and it just melted in your mouth. I would also highly recommend the almond tart with white chocolate it was delicious. The...

We stayed for a night at The Old Post Inn in Cloverhill, a quiet rural part of Cavan. The Inn itself only has a few rooms, located upstairs through the reception, which is also the reception for the restaurant where we had dinner booked later that night. The room was spacious, with a bed comfortable and nice shower. The staff...

The food is amazing, never ever had I had anything else other than! The staff are so professional, they know their menu and wines inside and out. The hotel itself is so cosy, really homely decorated, there's always a turf fire burning. I cannot say a bad word about this place! It is a total treat!

Visited here last night for a special occasion. The lady who greeted us, and took our orders was so warm and welcoming. She made the whole visit in my opinion! I had chicken Caesar salad for starter which was the most delicious I've ever tasted! For mains I had a beautifully cooked sirloin steak. My partner had requested a Halal...

Just amazing. Had the early bird menu - such a selection. Wonderful flavour throughout the meal. Staff had great knowledge of the menu to give helpful advice. Décor was charming olde world and beautiful. Just loved the whole experience and can't wait to go again. Cloverhill is charming with an English feel to it.

We booked a Sunday lunch and on arrival welcomed by friendly staff. We said we would go to the table with the menu and they gave us time to choose our meal from a good menu selection. I had told them it was my wife's birthday. We had a beautiful meal and when it came to bringing the deserts out...

We stopped here on the way back to Belfast on Sunday 13 May for dinner. It was a beautiful sunny day which was a bonus. We sat in reception and our order was taken soon after arrival. Before we were brought to our table we were given a little taster of what was to come. The meal was excellent. My...

We visited in in February to celebrate a 50th birthday. There were 6 of us dining. The food was flawless. 4 of the party had steaks and they were all cooked perfectly. The service was also without fault. Our waitresses surname was Faulkner (I forgot her first name) but she was extremely attentive. We had lots of wine, beer, vodkas...

We dined here recently. We were really looking forward to it as we've been coming here for a while and everything from start to finish has always been impeccable. Unfortunately on this occasion the food was well below par. I had monkfish for main course wrapped in Parma ham. The waitress had given me a fish knife but in actual...
