Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here for one night. While overall it is a nice hotel, it does feel a bit tired and outdated. The location is excellent for exploring Kilkee and surrounding areas. Breakfast was €10 extra and definitely worth it.

We arrived at 3:30 and we're allowed into our room I thought that the door key would've been modern but it was an actual key but it's an old-style hotel that wasn't modernised even though I read online that it was the receptionist was fabulous very helpful bedroom was ok during the day but was very noisy at night time as you could hear a fan outside and guests talking Beds wer3 comfy but we didn't sleep a wink 😒 we got food in the bar and it was incredible the waiters were fabulous and very helpful. Anyway after a sleepless night we got breakfast in the hotel and it was good but some of the staff were under experienced as they were very young but they're learning we had a no e breakfast anyways it was time to check out and we told the reseptionist about the night and she said that she was sorry bit if your thinking about staying here if you want a sleepless night go here 5/10

Stayed here last minute as half way point between places. Booked online and was one of the last places left in Kilkee at the time. There is no way I would stay here again, rooms are shabby and not cleaned properly. Bar and restaurant reminds me of a clubhouse. It’s not great and defo not for €140 a night.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and we have to say we had a lovely time! It was the most stress free hotel we have stayed in with two small kids! All the staff were so lovely, from reception, bar, breakfast and room service. The staff are a credit to the hotel and we will definitely be back again.

Enjoyed such a lovely stay here at the start of this month. We originally had a booking for food in the town but decided the dine in the hotel instead and we were so delighted we did the food was so delicious! My partner had wings to start and we both had steak for mains and it honestly did not disappoint, was so tasty and cooked to perfection. The cocktails were also delicious! We were looked after by Alison in the restaurant all evening, she is an absolute credit to the hotel and couldn’t do enough for us! The breakfast was fantastic as well with plenty of choice, the staff throughout the hotel were brilliant also. Hotel is walking distance from the town so close to everything. Would definitely recommend this hotel if your staying in Clare and I would definitely return.

Stayed here for 3 nights this month and we had a great stay . While the hotel is a little dated and could do with a bit of modernisation the staff and quality of our stay made up for this . We ate in the restaurant the first night and the food was fantastic and portions big and satisfying . Beds were comfortable, shower etc was up to high standard . Caroline who is the manager was so friendly and went above and beyond with any requests we had . Vanessa who served us dinner, breakfast and yummy pints was also so friendly and we had great chats with her :) Highly recommend this hotel, location was brilliant and easy walking distance to kilkee town and bay. We will be back :)

Really nice meal in the Kilkee Bay last night. Homemade Mushroom soup followed by beautiful fish & chips cooked to perfection. Very nice young waiting staff full of chat and local knowledge. The town has a great summer buzz with loads of families around. All bars and cafes are well set up for outdoor dining.
