Myself and my elderly parents stayed for 5 nights. Our rooms were excellent. Had fantastic sleep as they rooms were quiet and beds really comfortable. Also had a lovely view of the gardens. The rooms were cleaned daily and we really appreciated the addition of bottled water in the rooms. We had afternoon tea when we arrived, which we highly recommend as it was delicious and plentiful. The breakfast was also really good, the eggs delicious, although cereals not on menu my parents were able to order porridge. All the staff were courteous, friendly and attentive. Really good young team working in hotel. There is a lovely bar to relax in the evening serving delicious cocktails. The location of the hotel is perfect and if you enjoy walking there are lots of fantastic walks in the area. Lovely walk into Killaloe which my 80 year old father could manage. All and all we had a wonderful holiday. Would highly recommend this hotel

Hotel needs some tlc in places but the rooms were clean, the young staff were all very pleasant but it did seem like they could have done with some guidance from more senior staff. Breakfast hot food was very good ,continental was basic. Before we arrived we received an email saying the spa was closed so when we arrived without swimwear we were surprised to see that it was open. I mentioned this to the staff and they did offer us access to the health suite which ment a drive to nenagh to buy swimwear. My wife also went for some treatments which she said were excellent and the staff and spa are well worth a visit. Overall we would return, its priced just about right and the location is excellent.

We stayed for two nights in the hotel. We had a fabulous stay, all the staff from reception , bar staff , waiting staff and night porter could not do enough to help. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. We ate in the restaurant for both nights and the food was delicious. The breakfast on both mornings was lovely and the tray with pastries , breads and granola added to the experience. We will be back , the hotel and staff are fantastic.

I stayed here only a couple of days ago for one night as a catch up with my best friend. We first visited the spa which I would 100% recommend to all, the staff are brilliant and treatments to die for. We then checked in to our room which was modern, spacious and had a lovely terrace to look out at the boats and lake. We visited the bar/restaurant for food, the staff were attentive and friendly and food nice. Breakfast the next morning was nice, loved the addition of the three tiered plates of bread, pastries and fruit. Slight negatives in regards to menu are it consisted of mostly egg options along with two fry ups and didn’t appear to be any cereal for breakfast? Only negatives I would point out in general would be the need to book for breakfast and dinner during check in then the bar/restaurant was never full and when you arrived at bar/restaurant they didn’t even check if you had a reservation! When in my room on the morning of check out a man walked past my terrace and looked straight in my window, the terrace is not fully closed off on both sides. Was quiet strange. Wi-Fi is non-existent down on the level of rooms the spa is on. None of these take away from a generally great experience that I would still give 5 stars. I will return again

From the moment we arrived to the hotel it was a lovely relaxing experience. The staff are a credit to the hotel and were extremely friendly and helpful. Every single staff member were so welcoming which made it a lovely homely stay. The hotel was lovely and the rooms were perfect too. The spa really added to our experience and the staff in the Spa too made it an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone and will definitely be back again.

We booked 3 rooms. x2 family room and double room. We didn’t arrive until after 5pm. For front of house staff- barely acknowledged us when we arrive in, very poor social skills, barely got a hello. We arrived at our rooms all 2 rooms spread out on the second floor down. ( no lifts so like most family’s if you have young kids and lot of luggage lots of juggling and stairs. Rooms where only ok. For €284 B&B family room for 1 night, 2 adults + child, 2nd family room 2 adults and 2 kids under 3 ..very over priced! Lots of the walls needed painting, bath panel water damaged, window barely close. Blind cords broken. ( safety hazard esp with young kids! Bathroom floors very dirty and around toilet needs good clean. Only good thing nespresso coffee machine, plenty towels and beds where clean. We got woken up by the room next to us at 4 am due to those guest being at a function downstairs. Highly intoxicated and shouting. Would have made sense to keep guest not going to function away from each other. Rude woman couldn’t get into her room because of no spare key “reception didn’t have a spare one”. Yes all old school keys to open door that would be fine except the locks are very badly damaged. 1 key per room. Breakfast- very scattered. Table was set up except it was all sticky and coffee cups where stuck to the table. We went at 10.30 a young boy was very kind and got us table, drinks. He was very polite and couldnt do more for us. Probably one of the only professional and nice member of staff we dealt with. We had to wait some time for these platters to arrive. With croissants/ granola jars. Eventually when we got table service to order heated breakfast - again no menu/ kids breakfast options. Only half fry or maybe waffles with bacon as such. No cereal options given for children/ adults. Very poor considering they have “ family rooms”. I did Complained about the room next to us and being woken up at 4am but we didn’t get much satisfaction nor any offer of discounted rate. We have stayed in kilaloe many a time but not in this hotel we have stay across the river but was unavailable will not be returning here again. For price we paid for X3 rooms over €800 it was disgrace. One of the worst hotels we have stayed in.
