We spent a wonderful Sunday night at the Lakeside in one of their beautiful new river front rooms-amazing. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel restaurant, food was delicious.Hotel was clean and all covid guildlines followed. The only down side to our stay was a very rude Dublin Man(apologies to all the lovely Dubs reading this!)who was down right rude to the young server at the bar who made a very small mistake with his drinks order-staff dealt with this rude individual with great calmness and held their dignity. Staff were wonderful and friendly and even the younger staff, who were clearly only new to the job, gave 100%. I would highly recommend this hotel-sping for a water front room, worth it for special treat. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely post lockdown escape.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely few days , staying in one of the Lakeside new rooms with a balcony overlooking the lake. These rooms are more expensive but worth it. We received a beautiful hamper when we arrived with some of our favourite things! Gin, whiskey, crisps, and chocolate!! All the staff we met were very helpful and friendly, at check-in, in the bar, restaurant and in the leisure centre. We enjoyed using the swimming pool each day. The gardens are beautiful with lovely areas to sit out and enjoy your meal and a drink. We always felt safe staying here. Everywhere was constantly been cleaned. I saw a cleaning lady wiping down public areas at 9.30pm! The package we booked included a boat trip on the lake...lovely. There are lovely walks around the village. While some pubs in the village were closed due to Covid, those serving food were open. We had lovely meals sitting outside enjoying the views in the two pubs within walking distance of the hotel. We also ate in the Italian restaurant in the village but were disappointed here. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for one night in one of the waterfront rooms, from check in to check out staff were all amazing. Excellent covid-19 protocols and felt very safe throughout our stay. The views from the room were lovely it was so relaxing. The room was spacious, modern and spotless. Had dinner in the bar and the food was lovely. Also went to the pool in the morning before we checked out. Altogether a really relaxing and enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend booking the waterfront rooms. A perfect staycation.
