I attended a large wedding here on New Year's Eve and I must say that I was very impressed. First thing that struck me was that the hotel didn't up their bar prices for those attending the wedding. This is a common practice in Irish hotels and it really annoys me and always leaves me feeling ripped off. The staff...

We were recently at a family reunion at the Lakeside; beautiful location, overlooking the Shannon. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient and made the night a very pleasant and memorable experience for everyone.

Stayed for a quick overnight break with my family - staff here were great lots of young students working here who are very polite and helpful however felt they were out of their depth when asked about things like wine lists, variations of menu choice. Beautiful location on the lake fabulous views. Only one bad point - when arriving it...

We booked a family reunion dinner for the night of Thurs 29th Dec 2016. We had a lot of changes to the accommodation bookings due to family members not being available etc. With all these changes, the staff at the Lakeside were patient and professional to the end. We held our dinner for 28 adults and 6 children in the...

Surely management would ensure ALL staff are able to make a simple Irish Coffee ? The cream needs to sit on top of the BLACK coffee not mixed in. If that can't be done correctly I wonder about the type of food that is on offer?

We stayed three nights. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient. The food is excellent; we ate here two nights. Similarly breakfast is hot and tasty. Beautiful surroundings and a walk in the garden is a must as it continues along Lough Derg for a very short distance via pontoons. Only fault we could find was minor - the sink...
