Stayed on recommendation of local customer. Impressive building with really old parts. Unfortunately castle is closed for renovations. Staff really professional and nice. Ate in restaurant. Food lovely but unfortunately we were only wines in restaurant so lacked atmosphere. Room with 4 poster bed which was very comfy. Breakfast very nice choice.

I recently visited Barberstown Castle with a friend for lunch. We sat in the foyer area, which is beautiful, but ordered coffee and biscuits as we were told the restaurant is closed for refurbishment. We received two large cups of coffee and homemade shortbread biscuits, all costing €8. A week later I brought my partner back for a coffee, we...

Stayed for one night last week and was pleasantly surprised. The bedroom was large though slightly old fashioned but comfortable. The bathroom was a good size with a good shower. We were checked in by charming staff who sent us complementary tea and biscuits which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and...

I was lucky enough to attend a wedding here over the weekend, and it was amazing. The venue is stunning, the accommodations plush, the food exquisite and the staff are fantastic. In particular, the wedding coordinator Anna, for whom only a commitment of 200% will do. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a one night stay with dinner option on the 29th of October. Positives: the staff were very friendly, polite and attentive at all times throughout. The reception and tearooms area are beautiful and very relaxing. The pianist playing at dinner and in the tearoom was excellent. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spotless (although...

This was a lovely place and we were near the end of season so we were upgraded to a lovely, lovely room. Bed terrific, bathroom terrific, restaurant great and the service excellent. Just be careful, we ran into peak morning traffic on the way to the airport, may have been unusual, but allow a good hour not 30 minutes. Set...

Recently spent the night at a wedding here on a Saturday night. Hotel is lovely and so are the staff but there's 1 thing I couldn't understand. We checked in at reception & while my girlfriend got ready I went to get us some drinks. I asked reception where is the bar. They said it's around the corner to your...

My daughter kindly arranged a midweek break for us using her "Blue Book of Ireland Gift token". Checkin was very quick and staff really nice. Room 52 was large and cosy with 4 poster bed, sofa, armchair etc decorated in a country cottage style. However, there was no hospitality tray, but when I queried this, I was told tea/coffee could...

Just perfect. Room clean and tidy, staff friendly and helpful, food was excellent, probably the best I ever ate. Michelin star restaurant really deserve it. And quiet, it's like time is slowing down, your heartbeat is slow and steady, relax. Just perfect.
