We recently had a family celebration at Barberstown Castle. Everything was perfect The private dining room layout was as requested, the food was delicious, the service was excellent - especially our wonderful waiter Madisson who took such good care of us. Little touches like the birthday dessert plate for my Mother and lego packs for the children, really meant everyone felt special. It was so lovely to celebrate a milestone birthday in such a beautiful elegant venue. The Event's Executive Samantha met with us in advance and ensured all our wishes were accommodated. Thank you so much.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Heather at the front desk was very helpful. Rooms in the older part of the hotel are especially lovely. We had a very nice meal in the pub. Very pretty grounds and outdoor seating area. We will definitely be back.

What a beautiful place to stay. From the minute we walked in the door we were made feel so welcome. All of the management & staff were so friendly & helpful. We had dinner on arrival & the food was excellent as was the breakfast in the morning. The bedroom was fabulous. Every where so clean. The grounds around the hotel are amazing with lots of secret gardens. So picturesque for weddings. We can't wait to go back again.

We were lucky enough to get married at Barberstown Castle in August this year, and had the most amazing few days, we could not recommend it enough! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, we had our ceremony in the beautiful conservatory and the most amazing meal - our guests could not get over how incredible the food is here, and it’s the only wedding anyone had ever been to where they were offered seconds! The staff here are on another level, from running everything smoothly to treating all our guests like VIPs, it’s not everywhere that the owner of a venue (the amazing Ted) would personally look after your grandparents and make sure they get a pot of tea after a long journey, they were so touched by this. Saoirse on reception is wonderful, and Conor at the bar - as well as all the waiting and reception gang and the whole weddings team The real gem of this venue though - after the stunning grounds, amazing food and glorious rooms - is Sara from the weddings team. As a couple who postponed our wedding twice during Covid, and a bride who was quite anxious about things going to plan, we cannot say enough how incredible Sara was from start to finish. Nothing was too big or too small for her, from facilitating a dinner in the garden bar the night before with only a few days notice, to rearranging the dressing of the ceremony room after the florists had left to how she knew I would prefer it (and she really did know what I would love!) to providing assistance, clarity and comfort for my nerves every step of the way, she is outstanding. My husband commented pre-wedding that every time you speak to Sara on the phone, even about something tiny, she makes you feel like you’re the only wedding she currently has on, such is her care, and he’s completely right. For me, the wedding team is such an important aspect of choosing any venue, and i honestly can’t recommend Barberstown enough in that regard, they were there every step of the (3 year!) planning, and are just the loveliest people you will have the pleasure to meet We are so grateful to Barberstown for giving us an incredible day and such fantastic memories that we’ll always treasure. Thank you!

Treated to a lovely lunch. Dining outside surrounded by hanging baskets and statues. We kept it simple my partner had burger and chips onion rings, told this was the best burger. My fish and chips were sublime. The server was delightful and good humoured. Coffee to follow, we will be back.

We attended a wedding even at Barberstown Castle on the 3rd of September. The venue was spectacular, what truly stood out was the wonderful staff and exceptional service. The venue itself was unique and provided very sociable spaces for the wedding party to mix. The seven course menu was particularly special. The duck and fish main courses were outstanding. Congratulations and thank you to the wonderful team who made the experience so special, I have never seen a team so organised and pro active. Attention to detail like always refilling water and checking dietary requirements was superb. A special thank you to Ted Robinson for overseeing the event management.

We called in here for coffee but we decided to have lunch as the gardens were beautiful and the weather was lovely. I love gardens so this place was perfect. We ate outside. My partner had chowder and I had a smoked salad open sandwich. Both were gorgeous , really fresh and the presentation was superb. They were very good size portions and we had more than enough to eat. As I was driving I had a glass of non alcoholic chardonnay and it was gorgeous. I am converted as it was nicer than the real stuff. The staff member introduced herself to us and she was helpful and friendly.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the picturesque hotel. Check-in was quick easy and Heather was super. Wait staff in the dining room so fun and welcoming. Guest rooms are beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding. Thank you Amanda, Austin and Ted. I was travelling with customers from Kentucky and it was a lovely way to wrap up a busy week of horse shopping. Best wishes and we will hopefully be back soon as Barberstown will become a regular stop for Parkmore Irish Horse Imports. Thanks again Fleur Bryan

Our son and daughter-in-law hosted their wedding and surrounding events here. It was amazing. Every detail was executed with perfection. The rooms, service, staff ,food, gardens and various venues deserve a 5 star rating. Sarah, the wedding planner, went out of her way to assure every detail went as planned. Each and every staff member I encountered was courteous and helpful. Special mention to our favorite barman Conor who had just begun his service there and treated each and every one of us as a special customer.
