We stayed in Annes b&b for the night. She was very accomodating in every way. The room was pristine as was the all the facilities. We met Coco, her little dog, who was very smitten with our dog. Anne made us the loviest breakfast and was so helpful. She runs a great b&b and we were so happy to stay there. We'll definitely be back. Thank you Anne.
This is a wonderful little B&B on Cruit Island,a truly beautiful, tranquil corner of Donegal. The scenery is breathtaking. The many beaches around here are spotlessly clean and some of the best in Ireland. It is a short drive to the lovely town on Dungloe. For keen golfers, the local club is 5 minutes by car. Teach Donncadh is run by Anne and her wee dog Coco. Anne is lovely lady and Coco is a great wee dog. Both are very friendly. Anne made my wife and I feel so welcome, we immediately felt at home. The house itself is spotlessly clean and has all the amenities you need.Free Wifi, hairdryer, kettle etc.in rooms. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast was very tasty and cooked to order. In short this is a top class B&B and is great value for money. Anne is a pleasure to stay with and is very knowledgeable about the area. If you are thinking about going to West Donegal for a chilled out holiday Teach Donncadh should be top of your list.…
We recently spent six nights here and it was a real pleasure! The location is excellent, with quick access by car to practically any area of Donegal. And Cruit Island itself is lovely (with an excellent golf course - I left the clubs at home, but next time!). The room was very comfortable and - as many others have noted - the view from the breakfast room is just stunning. Very tasty breakfasts too, served around one big table, allowing for convivial chat with the other guests. However, the best thing about this B&B was our lovely, lovely host Diane, ably assisted by Coco the cute terrier. Diane is friendly, jolly and knowledgable, the perfect bean an tígh! Highly recommended.
We had a very relaxing stay at Teach Donncadh. Anne and her daughter made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was delicious and we had a very nice view from the conservatory. Their little dog Coco is adorable and always looking for someone to play with. The bedroom was well cleaned and services every day. The bed was very comfortable.
What I remember about this B&B is the location and view. Cruit island must be one of the most beautiful places I have been to, of course the dramatic sunset helped!! The accommodation as such was alright, it was clean and homely, all good. I could have stayed in the breakfast room all day taking in the view. This was hands down the best feature, breathtaking!
This place is worth a small deviation from our main route, that allowed us to discover a less famous but still beautiful place in Ireland: "The Rosses". The BB is supernice, the best is the window and terrace facing the sea. The owner was very nice, and she cooked a very good Irish Breakfast. The room we had assigned was tiny, the bed is french style (a little smaller than the normal) and it was next to the wall on one side. The toilet was a bit smaller than what we like and without the shower plate or the curtain, so it is not the top of comfort. Anyway everithing is new and furnished with simple but modern taste. There is a very nice restaurant (Viking House) at walking distance and at 7-8km there is a village with other restaurants, but I would recommend the former. There is also a golf course on the Island, but we didn't went there.…
Spent one night on this delightful Island. A lovely house with balcony and stunning views from the dining room. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Delicious Full Irish breakfast. Free WIFI. We had a delicious evening meal at the Viking Hotel recommended by the owners.
Just loved this little island called Cruit Island. The B&B was nice with spectacular panoramic view. An irish breakfast was served with black and white puddings. The owners were really friendly and helpful when it came to places to visit. Don't be shy to ask them away!
What a pleasure to spend a night here. The island is remote, yet easy to get to. Our host was gracious and very willing to share her house with us (we stayed in two bedrooms). The Wi-Fi worked pretty well, the island was wonderful to explore (look for the sand dunes at the far north-west end). Much appreciated full Irish breakfast was delicious.
