We stayed here on 23rd July for 3 nights, we were meant to be in America but due to the current circumstances this was not possible. Booking was extremely easy via email as we're any requests I made to staff. On arrival staff were very welcoming and had all the safety regulations in place to make everyone safe (hand sanitiser, one way system, floor Markings) Hotel room was spotless and I can honestly say the bed was one of the comfiest I've slept in. We had dinner on the first evening which was beautiful and staff very attentive. Wide selection available each morning for breakfast and again nothing too much trouble for staff. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back soon

Thank you so much for your kind acknowledgement and praise of this. Thank you also for your lovely comments regarding your the breakfast and our team. Easy to find with a free car-park in a central location. We were given interconnecting rooms without even having to ask. The en-suite rooms were clean and comfortable with flat screen TV's and hairdryers. The staff had left a selection box in each room which our kids appreciated. Our rooms overlooked the street and rolling fields beyond yet there was no traffic noise. After a busy day shopping nearby it was great to return to make tea in our room.

We had dinner in the hotel and despite it being really busy with various Christmas parties the meals were very good and the service excellent. The public loo's were spotless too.

For breakfast there was a choice of hot and cold goods which was served in the pleasant bar area overlooking the busy street. One negative - it was very warm during the night and even though our kids turned down the heating in their room the room was so hot they didn't sleep very well (they should have woken us up!).

We really enjoyed ourselves yet again and won't leave it so long to go back the next time!

Lovely friendly and efficient staff. Our room was spotless and it was good that we could control the temperature, we don't like a warm bedroom. We ate both nights in the hotel due to the extensive menu. Would highly recommend.

Ideal location if you are staying one or two nights on business, or travelling through, it is not really a holiday destination. It is a normal town with shops, pubs and fast food restaurants.

Positives:
Large clean modern rooms and bathrooms, plenty of towels.
Comfortable bed, good lighting, blackout curtains, small sofa, coffee table, large desk/dressing table and office chair. No noise from adjacent rooms. Small safe (but I couldn’t figure out how to use it!)
Central location, Dunnes supermarket across the road and pharmacy next door. Lots of other shops, pubs and fast food restaurants nearby.
Friendly reception staff.

Negatives
Very little storage, two drawers and two short wooden poles containing 8 coat hangers.
Basic body wash in large dispenser in the shower, no shampoo, small bath towels.
Noise from traffic and revellers in the street if you open windows for fresh air.
Breakfast is quite basic, consisting of a buffet of the usual fried breakfast, plus porridge, scrambled or poached eggs to order, toast, jams, yoghurt, fruit juice, tinned grapefruit and peaches. Kelloggs cereals. No fresh fruit, or pastries. However, staff at breakfast in the restaurant are friendly and helpful.
Please note that if you come here as part of a coach party, the dinner menu is very different from the menu on the website. You will have a set menu which is not very exciting, with some weird combinations. The dessert is probably the best part as it is usually a trio of small desserts. When we were there, there were up to 5 coach parties and so on some nights we were served at long tables in a large function room where the service was perfunctory, I think the staff in the function room need customer service training.
All in all, OK for one or two nights, definitely not for a holiday of longer duration.

Spent two nights at my favourite place and favourite hotel. As always the staff are so friendly and helpful. Having checked in we went to our room and unpacked and then headed down to the bar for a drink. We received a lovely welcome from the barman saying welcome back it's lovely to see you's. We had a snack in the bar that night which was superb as was breakfast the next morning. We headed off to do a bit off sightseeing and returned to hotel for our evening meal. We both decided to have turkey and ham. What a disappointing meal, plates came out with two scoops of potatoes, two pieces of turkey and what I can only describe as a slice of fat for ham,no roast potatoes and when we asked we were told they don't do roast potatoes through the week. Vegetables were broccoli and cauliflower which were as hard as the road and cold plus we had to ask for cranberry sauce. An extremely disappointing meal and definitely not up to the usual standard on previous visits. When asked if we enjoyed our meal my friend replied not really and explained why. As we were still hungry we ordered dessert which was lovely and when paying for our bill we were told dessert's were on the house,a nice gesture by the management which was appreciated. First time ever I've been disappointed by the standard off food here. If this had off been my first time eating here I certainly wouldn't have recommended it to anyone. Perhaps there has been a change of Chef's or suppliers from my last visit. Overall we enjoyed our stay but sadly disappointed by our main meal.

Dear W29FB Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to our hotel. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest and thank you for choosing the Station House Hotel. Thank you in particular for your kind compliments regarding our service, our incredible team and for your continued support. I was however, very disappointed to read of your unfortunate dining experience. Please be assured that the issues you encountered are totally out of character for us and does not reflect our usual high standards, and are the absolute exception as opposed to the norm. We booked a double room for three nights on a bed and breakfast deal and were made extremely welcome during our whole stay, we only returned this afternoon. Everything was taken care of concerning COVID 19 and we had everything we needed already in the room when we arrived, enough towels etc for our stay. Every member of staff are to be congratulated for the friendliness and efficiency. The breakfast was well varied and the portions generous, we also chose to eat in the hotel each night of our stay and enjoyed the food very much. Comfortable rooms with plenty of storage space, we also had a safe which came in handy. I would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel.

We are just back from a few nights stay , we had a lovely time the staff were all so friendly and welcoming , nothing was a bother to them. They were very attentive to our needs, especially all of the restaurant staff . One went above and beyond , my sister has just came through cancer treatment which they were unaware of . She has difficulty eating and during breakfast choked on a small piece of toast . I took her out of the restaurant into the toilet and within seconds one of the girls was with us ensuring that my sister was okay and waited with us until she was safe . They were so attentive to her needs each day and the chef was so willing to make whatever she wanted at breakfast as they were with all the guests. We have been here many time and they have always excelled in their service to guests . Thankyou to each and everyone of them for making our stay so enjoyable , we will definitely be back x

I had the most fabulous time in the Station House Hotel with my daughter.
From, the very moment of being greeted by staff on entry to the hotel to the lovely friendly staff at reception to housekeeping staff to the restaurant staff. Every member of staff was very friendly, professional and polite and they couldn't do enough for us.
Both the evening meal and the breakfast was delicious and with great choice too. The bedroom was spacious and comfy and I certainly enjoyed a great night’s sleep too.
All ‘Covid’ measures and precautions are set in place and there was plenty of hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel.
I won a Facebook Promotional night and used my win in the hotel in July. Not only this, they added an extra 'touch' by having a 'congratulations card' with a lovely hand writing greeting and a box of chocolates too. I was taken back with this very kind gesture and of course absolutely thrilled! It made me feel more special.
I can't thank the staff enough for our amazing stay and I can't wait to stay there again.

My husband and I had the best stay here! The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are very large( we usually do air bnb for space and were not disappointed here). Breakfast is tasty and the dinner was delicious (The salmon was PERFECTION). The staff are super nice and smiley. The black out blinds allowed us to sleep longer than we would even at home. Can't wait to come back!

We stayed in the Stationhouse for a weekend break. From our arrival until our departure we found the staff to be the most pleasant, attentive and efficient. We availed of the 4 course table de hote menu in the restaurant which at €26, including a bottle of wine per couple, was fantastic value giving the excellent choice and quality of the food offered. I availed of the 10oz sirloin, at a small supplement, which was cooked to perfection. Our rooms were spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the service to our table was prompt with an excellent choice including porridge with honey and bowls of fruit cocktails. This hotel is excellent value for money and I would highly recommend it.
