The staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially the young man on reception who was willing to go above his normal duties. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable The food I have to say was questionable. For breakfast I ordered poached eggs but they were fried. The sausages were not of good quality. The toast was warm bread (white toast). Dinner was not appetising. My mother order chicken with colcannon but when it came it was more like wet risotto/porridge. She would not let me get it changed and eat only the chicken. The coffee was like dishwater which when I mentioned it the staff agreed. I had stayed before with family and everything was good. This time I was left feeling that food was not up to standard.
We had a three night break booked for the beginning of July. Unfortunately my wife broke her ankle in mid June. When I rang the hotel to see if we could get a room closer to the lifts, they couldn’t of been more helpful. They moved us closer and also switched us to a twin room and pushed the twin beds together to make one huge bed. Carol Anne on bookings was so helpful. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly at reception by Shiloe and when we got to the room they had included a small box of chocolates. We ate in the restaurant on one evening and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the generous portions. Breakfast each day was delicious. We stayed Monday to Thursday and the chefs porridge was heavenly. A special thanks to the breakfast waitresses and the breakfast chef, Skip. This is our favourite Letterkenny hotel and we’ve stayed in four different ones. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.…
Just had a 2 day stay at this fabulous hotel. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with such a warm welcome. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, anything we needed we just had to ask and it was at our door. Rooms were so comfy and clean. Food was excellent. I can't wait to return. Great value for money!
We had a lovely three night stay here 12th to 15th July. The thing that stood out the most, was the lovely staff. Everyone of them were excellent at their jobs and made our stay very enjoyable. I didn't get their names but i did get the name of Kelsey and she was a real treasure. The cleanliness of the hotel was also a real bonus and the standard was very high. I would have given a five- star rating to this hotel but unfortunately my Wife struggled to get up the steep hills into the town centre, which is only around the corner. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast was definitely very good. We would most definitely stay here again.
This is an excellent hotel and a wonderful hotel to stay in. Stayed in this hotel from Wed to Sat in room 307. It is a very clean, well maintained and up to date property. The staff are only excellent, very friendly and great communicators. Despite their busy schedule they will still stop and chat for a moment and ask if there is anything you want or anything they can do for you.......... really friendly and homely. The food here is excellent and not at all overpriced. It freshly served and freshly cooked. A wonderful staycation experience that I can highly recommend to anyone. Free carpark and no unexpected extra charges. This hotel has got it right...........wonderful customer service at a good price. We will certainly be back again. Highly recommended ++++++++
