Bridgeburn House is a great location for hiking as it is near Glenveagh National Park, Mount Errigal, Muckish and more, yet a fairly short drive into Letterkenny for plenty of dining options. Sophia made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Nicely decorated, clean and spacious room. Cooked to order breakfast. One of the nicest B&Bs I've stayed in Ireland.
We stayed two nights, and we liked the quiet surrounding of the B&B for hiking (Glenveagh National Park) and mountainbiking (Coilltes Ard Forest with white beaches). To stay in the rooms felt relaxing. two points for improvement: 1) more awareness of lowering environmental impacts by not washing towels etc. each day, but only after reusing the towels etc. 2) better acoustics of lunch room. Now voices are echoing through the room.
A beautiful house with all the comfort of home, located about 7km from Letterkenny, set in the rural Donegal countryside, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the area. Very quiet and peaceful, we were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Rooms were very spacious, fantastic views from every window, beautifully furnished with really comfy beds, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing, all cooked fresh, it was delicious. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the beautiful Donegal countryside, just a short drive from Letterkenny.
Thus was the nicest B&B that we've stayed in. Our room and ensuite were very spacious and both were immaculate. The bed was very comfortable also. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was superb. I have to mention the homemade jam! Delicious. Overall an excellent accommodation
Fantastic place to stay!!! It’s handy to reach all the attractions of west Donegal, the house is very big, clean and spotless! Lovely couple and the Irish breakfast was delicious too, plus the lemon cake that the owner’s B&B lady made, it was so so good 😊 over here it’s very silent, a perfect place to relax the mind. They let us feel at home. Highly recommended it🍀
The house was spotless. The hosts most welcoming and helpful The breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend staying there. It is in a very good location near so many attractions Glenveigh National Park, The famine Village near Buncranna, beaches etc It is a quiet location about 9 kilo meters from Letterkenny
I stopped off here with a cycling group of friends on our way to the Glebe Gallery on Lough Gartan. The owner Sofia and her husband were very friendly and welcoming. We all had a lovely afternoon tea party which we pre-booked - with heaps of delicious freshly baked scones and pastries. As a large group, this was held in an immaculate open garage to maintain social distancing. Afterwards we had a tour of the new adjacent apartment, which was very inviting and spotless. Sofia's husband is a builder and the high quality of the workmanship was very evident.
I highly recommend this B n B! It’s situated in the lovely countryside close to Letterkenny and Glenveagh National Park. The rooms and en-suite bathrooms are lovely. Breakfast is great. Rooms come with TV, radiators, wardrobes, tea/coffee making facilities and are nicely decorated. The hosts are very helpful and strictly adhere to COVID 19 guidelines. For anyone wanting to travel at the moment but wanting to avoid large hotels, this B n B is ideal. It’s also nice to support B n B’s during this difficult time to help them try to build back their business after the pandemic. Finally, the rooms are so reasonably priced and really are lovely. Five stars!
My daughter and I stayed one night while we toured the Wild Atlantic way on our motorcycles. The B&B is in the middle of nowhere the nearest place for a evening meal is about 3 or 4 miles away (3 left turns) When we arrived as were made most welcome, The room and ensuite was spacious and comfortable had a really good night sleep The breakfast was excellent and really set us up for the day ahead . 10 out of 10
Bridgeburn house is an amazing B&B and those who stay here are fortunate. We had a lovely room with a private entrance to the back. The king-sized bed was so comfortable and the room very sound proof. We loved the special ceiling-down shower - like standing in the rain. It was also one of the few B&Bs with a one-tap faucet (so much easier to find the right temperature!) Breakfast was super - lots of choices, a tasty hot selection, and fresh baked bread. The home is elegant and the surrounding area lovely. With so much to do within driving distance, you could easily stay a number of days. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. This is an exceptional B&B and if I lived in Ireland, I would make a yearly visit.
