Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are going to Letterkenny, the Glenveagh National Park, Rathmullen or any other of the wonderful sites Donegal has to offer, look no further for accommodation. Pennsylvania B&B is just the best option you have. Nuala, the owner, is just a fantastic person that will give you a warm welcome on arrival. And it does not stop there: all rooms are brand new (actually, the entire house is new, not like most of B&B's in Ireland), with all modern conveniences such as electric showers, central heating together with an extra radiator and high quality furniture. Everything in the room is top quality, and the views are impressive.
Regarding the cooking, I must say that I've never tried an Irish breakfast as succulent as this one. Nuala will not cut corners cooking cheap stuff from the shelf. All ingredients are fresh, really fresh!
Also, the location is fantastic for it is in the outskirts of Letterkenny town, away from its dreadful traffic. Only a left turn will put you on the way to the main scenic attractions. All in all, this is the best you can get

We stayed in Pennnsylvania house for 4 days aug 05. The actual house is fantastic, you are immediately transported to an American dream house.. Nuala the hostess was superb and the service was second to none. I have never experienced hospitality to this standard in Ireland before. We enjoyed our trip to Pennysylvania house so much that we have already booked our holiday to go back for a week this year

I would highly recommend Pennsylvania B&B to anyone who wants to spend some time in the northwest of Ireland. Nuala and Michael Duddy are wonderful, down to earth hosts with a good knowledge of the history of the area. I was doing some family research while in Donegal and the advice they gave me helped me to locate my family's origins. The breakfasts are delicious and the food plentiful. The rooms are elegant and the ambience very home-like. I felt as if I were visiting with friends. I plan to go back to Donegal in the near future and this will be my place to stay.

I stayed in Pennsylvania House when I just arrived here in Ireland. The host is very warm and gave me a lot of tips to get around the town, as well as other tourist spots that I should visit. Its very clean and she will help you with things that you would need in your room. Even locals go there during weekends for a break.

My wife and I stayed in Pennsylvania House in September 2007 and it was magnificent
Nuala is a wonderful host for whom nothing is too much trouble.
She makes you feel totally at home in her own home and allows you to treat the place like it was your own.
The Bryn Mawr suite was magnificent with the biggest bed I have ever slept in, beautiful
Breakfast the following morning was a delight and served at a wonderful pace.
Nuala was very accommadating and personable and treated us with genuine loving care.
I would recommend Pennsylvania House to anyone.
Wonderful.

This was absolutely one of the best bed and breakfasts I've ever stayed at in Ireland. My room was immaculate.....you could do surgery in the bathroom - spotless. The Irish breakfast that Nuala served was text book perfect (I was tempted to take a picture of it) and very delicious. Everything fresh and cooked to order. The common areas are clean, beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming. Nuala is the perfect host....warm, friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend the Pennsylvania House to anyone looking for a high quality bed and breakfast in Letterkenny!

To an American, the name seemed odd - what was Pennsylvania House doing in Donegal, Ireland? Nuala has a fascinating story of how their B&B came to be called Pennsylvania House. She welcomed three tired visitors, served them tea and warmed them by the fire, and we all had a good night's sleep, awakening to a beautiful view of the hills of Donegal. She is a wonderful hostess, and we were honored to be her guests.

We stayed at Pennsylvania House based on excellent reviews and were not disappointed. We loved the HUGE bed, the biggest we slept on during our entire trip! Nuala was just extremely helpful and very friendly, and it was fun to talk to her husband about politics and football. It was also VERY nice to have a strong wireless internet signal available for our use! We loved getting to know that beautiful area- A gorgeous place to stay rain or shine!
