If you book for a double room with ensuite bathroom as we did. You could expect a small, simple and clean room. You could also expect a 4-star breakfast and 5-star hospitality from Kathleen and Edwin. The view from the breakfast room and the environment was very nice too. It was a comfortable stay overall.
Very Clean, modern comforts, amazing breakfast, wonderful hosts. I would highly recommend. It is a bit of a walk to town but not bad. I was offered a ride by the owner on a couple of occasions which was really nice.
Lovely warm welcome from Kathleen and Edwin. Room was lovely however bed was extremely uncomfortable resulting in missing out on a night's sleep. No matter what way I turned the springs were digging in to me. I was a bit surprised to see 2 mattresses under us. I told Kathleen the next morning and she offered us a new room which we were very grateful for the following night. I sincerely hope mattress is replaced as soon as possible to ensure the comfort of future guests. Otherwise it was a nice stay.
I spend a great deal of my working life in b&b.s hotels etc but never have I felt so welcome as I have here. Totally genuine in every way and you really do feel a part of the family. Comfortable room, great views, fantastic shower, home made scones and always a cup of tea.If I ever find myself in this part of Donegal again, I know where I;ll be staying.
On my 2nd visit this year.Vince and myself on 2 motorcycles.Tea and biscuits on arrival great chat and friendly welcome from Kathleen and Edwin..Garage available for our expensive motorcycles. We inquired about a Taxi to Letterkenny but Kathleen insisted on driving us in and also arranged for us to be picked up at an agreed time,.(What a service).Rooms were neat and clean and Wi Fi available.Breakfast was excellent with a great choice and freshly cooked..This is a perfect stop over for our motorcycle friends and i will certainly recommend it for a break..We travel all over the country on a weekly basis on our bikes and its fantastic to meet people who chat and make you feel so welcome like Kathleen and Edwin.
Met with a lovely welcome from the owner and had a pleasant room with views of the river. The accommodation is fairly basic and the room small but then it was very good value and included a cooked breakfast. Tea and coffee available from the guests area on the landing. It is on a busy main road so can be noisy but good access to Letterkenny and the surrounding sights in the area (you must visit Glenveah National Park and the mountains). Plenty of parking on site.
Give this place a miss. As once been a regular guest I was casted aside because of the Donegal Ralley. I gave the host plenty of notice that I needed a room for the 16th of june but when I rang to check to my reservatation I was told she was booked up, she offered a patetic excuse that I wanted Thursday night which I believed was nothing less than a lie, she said she would ring around for me and get back to me, but she never did. The light in the bathroom was broken and the shower was luke warm and only soreview tv available .The only chance of a decent breakfast is when there are other guests staying ,apart from that one has to make do with what's in the fridge, which isn.t much. It is very difficult to contact the host as the host rarely answers the phone. Doesn't reply to texts or voicemail .I'm still waiting several days later for the hosts return call, but here's hoping. no fear of any compensation been offered. Do yourself a big favour and take my advice and book elsewhere. it will be the best decision you ever made and that's what I will be doing, Shame on them.…
We have received a warm welcome with tea and biscuits in the living room with a view on the sea, and it was great after all the hours of driving around Donegal! We have had some problems finding the house, because we did not arrive from the main road (N14), but from the village and the sign is on the other side. But just in case, it is the house opposite the post office in Mannorcunningham :) Kate was busy with a coffee morning for Relay for Life, but still was present to help us with anything we needed. In the morning there has been a leak in the ceiling of our room, and she nicely and spontaneously offered for us to stay for free next time we are around. Her house is just a few minutes' drive from Litterkenny as you will hardly have any dinner in Manorcunningham. Enjoy your stay!…
Lovely welcome from Kathleen and Edwin, Lovely scenery, will definitely be back. Lots of space for the grandchildren to run around and play. Nothing to much trouble for Kathleen she's a fantastic host.
Stayed here during the rally weekend and was blown away by the hospitality! The family are so nice and welcoming. The rooms were en suite, clean and comfortable. Great breakfast was provided the next morning. Couldn't recommend Daleview more, from the gang from Kerry.
