Welcome to the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip. The hotel is the latest addition to the Moriarty Group, a fully Irish owned family business, priding itself on customer care and guest comfort. After many years of careful restoration, we believe that we have developed one of the most unique hotels to emerge onto the Irish market in recent times. The hotel combines remnants of the old Guinness Brewery, which was the original birthplace of Guinness.

Upon arrival full compliance with Covid government guidelines and the cleanliness of the hotel was notable. We stayed Friday 5th Nov in a luxury suite which had amazing balcony views of the Liffey. We were struck by how exceptionally clean and well presented the room was. The addition of the Nespresso machine and the Respa mattress were welcome additions.
We ate in the Steakhouse that evening and it felt a real home from home experience from the attention to detail and the service level from Lou and her staff. The food...was exceptional to the extent we compliment the chef, named Raimonda. Full marks to the General Manager, Jason.
We closed the evening with a warm drink by the fire in the lobby. All in all a truly magical experience. We will be back.
Thank you.

Just home from a fab 2 night stay with my 2 pals. The hotel were so accommodating. We had an adjoining room so it almost felt like a large suite. The beds were so comfy. Really spacious rooms. Lovely & quite.
Great adherence to government guidelines. I like that the guest directory was available via QR code. I also loved the touch of the regular bin plus the recycling bin in both rooms. I like that housekeeping was available if we required it & fresh towels were left in a bag on our door. Very nice touch.
The food in the restaurant was just fab!! The service was impeccable.
The cocktails were VERY reasonably priced. Great to see it!!
All the staff were lovely & friendly & always looking to make sure we had everything we needed.

I stayed here about 7 years ago and it’s even nicer than I remember. Fab to see the decor getting an upgrade too. Honestly, the hotel feels like 4*+++

Can’t wait to return again!!

The hotel has an adjoining parking area that was free of charge. The hotel is alongside the River Liffey. The bedroom was well furnished. The bathroom had a selection of toiletries but for a couple sharing they were quite minimal quantity wise. Breakfast was perfectly adequate in a pleasant dining area. The hotel makes a good choice, as it was for us, for an easy drive to Dublin Airport via the Clonee area rather than the M50.

Don't stay at this hotel on Friday or Saturday nights : they have late and noisy functions in their function room which is just adjacent to the second floor bedrooms - deafening disco noise until after 1.00 am! Parking is also a problem because the car park has no reserved spaces for residents - if there's a function all the places are taken and you have to park on the street. The charming staff are powerless to make any changes it's a management problem. It's a shame because the facilities and rooms are good. Eventually succeeded in contacting the hotel parent company three weeks ago (couldnt find email address for the hotel on the site), but have yet to receive a reply or even an acknowledgement of my email.

A bride and Groom special day should be A-day to remember & cherish not a nightmare they can't forget , And a nightmare is exactly What my Daughter and her now husband received from the Courtyard hotel in Leixlip.
They booked the hotel months ago they were given a price for the guest rooms, venue room food ect , And like all young couples made out their budget for their special day, But when the special day did arived on 29 th December the room rates had increased the venue had doubled in price , there was no honeymoon suite for the special couple ?? there was no Cutlery given for the food when served, this hotel actually had Security bouncers , OMG I have never stayed in a hotel that had to have bouncers on the premises, And Oh boy did them bouncers make their presence ,at the end of the night when the DJ finished his last song , They came in shouting at the guests to leave the room Some of the guests were residents of the hotel so we asked could we move to the residence bar ,the bouncers agreed but when we arrived at a reception both bouncers a male and a female start laughing and said there was no residence bar they were very aggressive to my family. I actually couldn't believe what i was hearing . The behaviour of 2 grown adults it was disgusting , The Courtyard hotel in Leixlip does not have a residence bar , The bouncers had just lied to clear The venue room, now let's get to the staff and managers, there is actually no words , they were Appalling .Nobody knew what they were supposed to be doing no body could give a strighe answer when asked a question, it was a horrific experience the room rates were all Drifferent ,when i asked the price of our room I was passed on to 4 or 5 staff members that didn't give me a straight answer, My question has hasn't been answered to this day , At least 20 members of my family traveled from abroad, all were over charge different room rates despite my daughter being given a special rate as the wedding was being held ,my family were overcharged for food they ordered and drinks , also my mum and dad were ovcharged for their room
But the sad thing is that Katie and Shane special has been destroyed , please do not book a venue at this hotel, , my Daughter just wanteda nice day nothing over the top , she just to wanted to celebrate with her family but the day was destroyed by management and the staff at the court yard hotel who have no experience . This hole experience has been horrific.

Visited the court yard many times and actually got married here. Popped in for some lunch today on a quick trip. Ordered mussels from the lunch menu.. waitress says sorry "that's not available on the day menu". Ok ordered an alternative.. took a seat made a call.. felt damp under my " posterior" large damp patch on cloth seat has now seeped into jeans n underwear.. alerted waitress that they ought to move the chair,, no apology " I'll get that sorted" . Alerted them again 10 mins later.. again no apology but waiter spends 30 seconds rubbing seat with a tissue which is left on the chair. Staff clearly more interested in weekend gossip than service. Food came, no condiments no napkins.. absolutely woeful customer service. Currently sorry air-drying my wet fanny outside.. won't be back.

Went for 3 nights to visit family in the area. As both of being front line workers in healthcare we also needed a well earned break.
We found a
" Haven ", with staff to make us feel so special and relaxed.
The Christmas decorations and lights made the atmosphere nostalgic and peaceful. .
Amenities of Car park, location in middle of town, beautiful walks and the chance to feed the ducks, then back to the hotel to lounge and relax.
The staff was amazing though, Bar staff, Receptionists, Accommodation Services, and Kitchen and Restaurants staff offering culinary delights. Thanks so much for making our break special.
Have a very happy Christmas to you all ,
Catherine and Owen. ❤

Went here for valentines night with my partner for a relaxing night. The courtyard bar were serving kids well under the age limit and the place was like a zoo. When we got to our room I realised the heating wasn’t working as the room was absolutely freezing.I informed management of this who said it needed to be switched on and would be when we returned to our room.As the courtyard area and bar was overrun with drunk teenagers we decided to dine away from it so it would be a bit quieter on valentines night. When we returned after 1am it was 10 times worse.Drunk teenagers everywhere and unable to stand while security watched on.We went straight up to our room at the end of floor 2 to walk by what was like parties in most rooms with loud music and people.Upon entry to our room we could feel it was absolutely freezing still.I informed management of this yet again and a porter came to check on the heating by twisting the knob back and forth 🤦‍♂️.I was then informed that in fact the heating in the room was broken. Its near 2am now and the hotel is still full of drunk loud teenagers so we are told to pack up and make our way to the first floor to the only other room left beside reception the wheelchair accessible room. When we arrived in the room it was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned so I informed the manager I was not accepting this and wanted a full refund. After 2am we’ve had to go back down to the reception area to the crowds of drunk people to speak with the manager who refunded my card.I asked to order me a taxi to take us back home ASAP and get as far away from the place as possible. The receptionist informed me our taxi was outside so we went out to meet to no taxi. Its nearly 3am now and we are standing in the carpark of a hotel on valentines night with our bags surrounded by drunk loud teenagers. We just walked away and got a taxi on the street. I have emailed the hotel since to express my outrage and I haven’t even received a response. What was once a nice hotel (as I have previously stayed here in the past) is now a really awful hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy and I hope people who are thinking of booking here read my review and think otherwise.

Absolutely no staff training. Rude staff with little to no training. Rooms are nice and comfortable but the staff are in desperate need of training and basic manors. Credit card charged before we checked in. No help at breakfast. Standing at counter for 10/15 minutes with nobody at the pass serving. No instruction as to where things were or asked if we wanted tea and coffee. 3 times a waitress came and asked if I had ordered one thing or another when I hadn't. Staff member told off my sons (12 & 14 so not young or loud) for going up to the room to get a jumper without a parent and told my 12 year old he would be removed from the hotel if he went up to room again without an adult. The only good thing was the rooms were comfortable and clean. If you look back at all my reviews I have left on this app you can see I give honest fair and mostly high reviews and pick out the good qualities... this hotel did not deserve any score for the staff. The 2 is for the room. Avoid with a family. Not child friendly in any way.

Stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks back and its fair to say I would not return even if I paid to stay there. I visited from the UK and was very much looking forward to my stay but from the first night it just got worse and worse. Went to check in when arrived at 12.30pm and was told the room was not going to be ready until at least 4pm. That night I went to the bar with family and utter chaos was the only way to describe it. 1 Person on a bar with 80 people in it is just crazy. Waited 20 minutes for a drink anytime we went the bar. I felt sorry for the barman who was doing the best he could considering the circumstances. The next day my cousin had her wedding party which again we were let down. No cutlery for the food, rude barman with the customer service skills of a brick wall and to top it off 2 'bouncers' who thought they could speak to people how ever they wanted. They were repeatedly ordering people to leave the function room and we were told the residence bar was open. No surprise when we got the the bar it was closed. We were clearly just told the bar was open to get us to move. The female 'bouncer' was an absolute disgrace. How she had the cheek to speak to us they way she did was unbelievable. I take my hat off to Sam who kindly helped us out and looked after us. The staff are clearly not trained correctly and who ever hires them doesn't seem to care what they do and how they speak to people.
The bride and groom were not offered a suite and the room I stayed in was basic at best.
If you want to treated terribly and not enjoy your stay, this is the place to go.
Sort it out Courtyard.

I would have answered this earlier but I didn't notice it. They do have an accessible Lobby and a lift that goes from the lobby level two the first floor which is a total of about 4 ft. it is a typical lift like you would find in a home setting. from the first floor there is an elevator servicing the rest of the floors. I am a hotelier in the United States with a Best Western Plus El La Quinta and a Four Points by Sheraton among others so believe me when I say it was a very nice hotel and obviously the owners take great pride in it. Unfortunately I think the building design is working against it being a ADA compliant. I did not see you or asked see any ADA rooms. but judging from the installation of that lift and the property features I believe they would have done the best they could with what they have.
