I recently got married at the Leixlip House Hotel back in September. My husband and I both live in Toronto, so we thought that planning this wedding was going to be an absolute nightmare. Thanks to the Leixlip House Hotel, planning and executing our wedding was a breeze. The staff were great at helping before and during the wedding. I... More

I attended a wedding at this venue and to say that the hotel should be totally refurbished is going easy on it I stayed in room 214 which was not even in the main hotel but in an annex at the back.the room was like something you would see the servants sleep in in some historical drama .the bathroom was... What a cheek the Leixlip House Hotel has. No mention when I booked 3 rooms over the phone that their bar & restaurant are closed Mon to Thurs and only open from 7pm in the evening on Fri to Sun, or that many of the rooms are occupied by people in the social housing scheme!! Nor is there any mention... More

Attended a wedding here on Friday and I was not very impressed at all in the venue, The room the ceremony was held in was small and clammy and looked a bit cluttered rather than decorated, then comes the bad bit, the toilets blocked up and when I mentioned this to one of the staff I was told there was... Leixlip house is a charming if worn country house sited in the village of Leixlip. The rooms are of various shapes and sizes as you might expect, the furnishings are old and in need of replacement. If you are looking for an old fashioned country house experience this is it, but if you are looking for a modern hotel, look... More

Such a beautiful hotel! Lovely staff. The rooms are immaculate. Food was beautiful. Really enjoyable stay. I loved the old fashioned bathroom too! I just wish we could have stayed longer. Looking forward to going back again soon.

A large group of us ate in the restaurant recently to celebrate a family event. It wasn't a restaurant we were familiar with, we chose it as much for the location and novelty factor as anything else and just hoped we'd have a nice meal. The food just blew us away, for such a lovely hotel tucked neatly into the... More

Bedroom and bathroom large and decorated lovely, but, cracked glass in one window and the windows were hard to open (and then we were fearful of the glass breaking more). Bedspread very dirty looking (possibly just old?)...itchy to touch. Mattress very squeaky and uncomfortable. It really needs to be replaced. No hot water in shower, nor good water pressure. No... “We stayed in room 2007 - it was standard and face out the back over the function room. No view but a lot of trees. Room 205 is a larger family room (parents of the bride stayed here) and it has a bath. There is cots available if you have young children. Room 201 is the bridal suite and it has a jacuzzi bath (I was so jealous, I wanted a go!) This had a four poster bed and faces the front of the hotel. It has 2 sash windows and a fireplace. Beautiful room”
