You cannot beat the view at this place, and the village is an easy walk away. Kathleen has been in this business a long time, and it suits her to a tea. She was most accommodating. Our upstairs room was nice and large with spaces to spread out our things. Be aware that she does not accept credit cards. Free parking is a plus.

We were here for one night in Ballyvaughan. On our way to the town, we had heard incredible things about this place and the lady who ran it - Kathleen. We arrived to a housekeeper who definitely didn't speak English and seemed unsure what to do with people arriving. This was a standard check in time, and we had a reservation booked. After some awkward communication, we received a key and told "it is in that hall". Unfortunately, it was a disappointing way to begin, especially since we had heard such good things. The room was clean and a nice size. Downsides: the shower did not drain at all - we had to stop showers every minute to let the water drain down and then turn it back on. Also, the wifi was useless in our room. It only worked on the front porch/breakfast room. …

We had two very nice nights at Oceanville B&B and enjoyed the sea view from the room upstairs. Sean and Kathleen are very warm hosts. The B&B is located beside a nice restaurant and only a view steps away from the pubs of Ballyvaughan - be aware that there is no cash machine in the little village, the next is about 20 minutes driving away!

I stayed here on may 23rd 2014 for the burren marathon the following day and cannot recommend the place enough. the house and bedroom was very cosy and welcoming . the views of the bay are also amazing. the bed and breakfast is located a very short distance away from a pub/restaurant and also ballyvaughan village. the family that run this place were amazing, they were very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant and nothing was any trouble to them. I can not recommend this place enough to stay in and will be back next year again!!

Stayed here in June 2014. Room was clean and a decent size. The Oceanville is located next to a restaurant (highly recommend it) and just a short walk of a few minutes to the village where there are a few pubs to have a drink. Breakfast was great and Kathleen was very friendly. Highly recommend this B & B and will stay here again on next trip to Ireland.

We couldn't start a review of Oceanville without first describing the location. And the location can't be described without first describing the view. From the two wide picture windows in our room, we had an incredible view of the ocean, the rocky hills of the Burren, and the pretty flowers which adorned the entrance to the B&B. Food and fun are also close by--Oceanville is a short walk from the nearby Monks pub and maybe a five minute walk from the town center. Overall our night at Oceanville was very good. Breakfast was tasty and filling, the room was clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. The B&B was full to capacity the night we stayed, so we didn't get all the personal attention we had on some other nights, but this is hardly a complaint.

Our room at Oceanville B&B on the second floor overlooking Galway Bay was the most comfortable and had the best view of any room on our entire two week stay in Ireland. It was spacious, spotlessly clean, and totally quiet for sleeping in the extremely comfortable bed. On one cloudy day, instead of moping and feeling sorry for ourselves, we pulled up chairs at the table in the bay window and simply watched the gulls soaring and the rain falling on the bay. However, the majority of our stay we used Oceanville as our base while exploring the Burren, the Perfumery, the Ocean Drive, and Connemara. Both mornings of our stay, Kathleen provided a delicious hardy breakfast in the bright and airy breakfast room. She was a cordial and gracious host and helped us find the best route to…

I was only able to stay one night here but it was very nice. I don't think you can beat the view. Just incredible to look out over Galway Bay from your bedroom. My bed was comfortable and it was a nice quiet stay. A nice short walk to the town (Just down the street) and many beautiful walks right around the corner. Breakfast was great and the hosts welcoming and helpful. Given the chance I would definitely stay here again. Do bring cash as they do not accept credit cards but this was made clear when I made the reservation. A gem for sure.

Stayed here at short notice. Kathleen gave us a wonderful welcome, warm but businesslike. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean and what a view! Breakfast was fresh and generous. She chatted easily with her guests and her warmth and homely premises are what decent BnBs are all about. We will return!

The location has to be the best thing about this B&B. We had a second story bedroom with a view over Galway Bay that was stunning! The rooms are clean and well kept. The beds we had where very hard though as we have found in some B&B's particularly in the country. No tea making facilities in room but we could make a cup of tea downstairs and enjoy the view. Kathleen was very welcoming and breakfast was excellent! Overall a good B&B in a great location. A little tip if you are in the front rooms upstairs....turn the lights out and sit in the dark to see the lights of Galway across the bay...its a great view! There is so much to do and see in the Burren and if you turn left from the B&B and follow the coast there is a spectacular drive around to the Cliffs of Moher. Small…
