Room was spacious and a comfy bed. Right on the main road into town too. Walking distance to shops and local pubs. Would definitely recommend Karen. Everything in good condition and very clean. Breakfast was very nice too.
This little gem is just an easy walk to all the local eateries and bars in Ballyvaughan. You will have to climb stairs to your room and there is no tv. But you’re on holiday, right? Karen is the perfect hostess and tour advisor. The room was comfortable and clean. Recommend if passing through this lovely town. Oh and the breakfast was excellent too.
Spent one night here on the way to Dingle. Needed gluten free breakfast and hostess was very accommodating. Pleasant and comfortable room. Perfect location to restaurants. Had 2 bedrooms - one for husband and myself and one for sister. Lovely.
The Creggs is located on the main street of Ballvaughan within easy walking distance of restaurants and pubs. There's a lovely loop walk right down the street. The accommodations were great -- nice room and shower facilities. Lots of choices for breakfast. Karen, the owner was extremely helpful with suggestions. We'd definitely stay here again.
Location. The Creggs is very easy to find on the main street of Ballyvaughn and within 5 minutes walking distance of all restaurants in the village in a relaxingly quiet area. Rooms. We were in Room 2 on the second floor of the house. We had a lovely view of the mountains and backyard. The room had what I think was a queen bed- either way is was incredibly comfortable and plenty of space for two occupants to avoid kicking each other all night. The room was very well presented and spotlessly clean. En Suite. Our room had an en suite with a toilet, sink and electric shower. Bathroom essentials were supplied- Shampoo & Conditioner, Shower Gel and Hand soap. Which were kindly replenished on our second day. The towels were clean and soft. Breakfast. We spent two nights with Karen at The Creggs. We were offered a Full Irish Breakfast which included a fried egg on toast, two rashers of bacon, two sausages and black and white pudding. There was also the option of a continental breakfast bar with cheese, fruit, yogurt, multiple cereals and amazing rhubarb. This was along with coffee, tea and juice. Host. Karen was a fantastic host. She was very helpful in choosing places to eat at night- we picked Monks. We never felt uncomfortable in her home and always felt completely welcome. She's got a fantastic B&B in The Creggs and I would 100% stop with her again.…
This was the only B&B that we didn't pre book on our trip around Ireland and it was the best in terms of cleanliness, amenities, friendliness and value for money. The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating, recommending lots of things to do in the area. Breakfast was delicious and there was a huge amount of choice.
we got the recommendation from the local Tourist Office, it was a great experience, nice rooms, nice bathroom and shower (en-Suite), great bed and excellent breakfast, wonderful view from the room window. We absolutely enjoyed it !
This was the first place someone actually came to the door. The owner was friendly and room was clean and well-equipped. I was also very grateful for the shower with a non-fixed head. It was great to be able to wash properly. Breakfast was fine as well and it wasn't the most expensive place we've been so I can definitely recommend this place for everybody.
Karen the owner was very pleasant and helpful, gave us lots of info eg.where to eat, places to visit, rooms very spacious and clean, off road parking, only about 3mins walk into Ballyvaughan.plenty of places to eat and more importantly drink. Breakfast was lovely, plentiful and a lot of choices.
Arrived in Ballyvaughan after driving from Dublin in the pouring rain, tired and hungry our first port of call was "Creggs" bed and brekfast as you enter the village. We were greeted with a lovely Irish smiling lady who insisted we come in out of the rain before we even asked her for a room. We knew we were in the right place. She showed us the last room she had and we were delighted. Room was of a good size and tastefully decorated and spotless. After a quick shower the owner pointed us in the direction of a good restaurant in the village. Breakfast next morning was perfect and the landlady even makes her own Irish bread. Plenty of useful tips from the owner of places to visit. Altogether a great find in Ballyvaughan. Can't wait to go back!
