husband & I stayed here for a mini break for 4 days (3 nights). We stayed in one of the suites, which had its own sittingroom, kitchenette, bedorom & bathroom. beautiful views of the golf course & the sea. Hotel is modern.

even though the luxury hotel is mothballed, the golf course is a gem - and that's the main reason for going there. Every hole had a distinctiveness about it and the banked fairways frame some memorable views. After a thoroughly wet winter a period of dry weather and tining meant that the greens were not great but I could imagine... More

Played two rounds at the weekend and it has to be one of the best courses around. Most holes are different with some very deep bunkers. We played in very calm conditions but as it is overlooking Galway bay I was told it is much more difficult when the wind is blowing. The greens are great and most are elevated... More

We had or pub society outing this morning in Galway bay golf club. The course was in immaculate condition with special mention for the greens top notch and chap in pro shop was very nice to deal with. The one down side I had was we were unfortunately not able to strike a deal of 10€ for a main course... More

Have played this course a few times in all kinds of weather. Always a great experience. Played yesterday and loved it again. Wonderful panoramic views across Galway Bay. Seals playing happily close to shore. A lone kayaker breaking the calm waters. Utter tranquility. The staff are welcoming and helpful. A highly recommended!

this hotel has seen better times long time ago. the first thing i noticed where the dusty windows and the half way pulled down curtains behind. i was wondering, wether this place still is in operation. the restaurant/bar is of poor quality, regarding food and regarding service. the floor was partly covered with food leftovers. OK, some poeple seem to... More

I have had nothing but great experiences in Galway bay, the course is great and one the best I have played by far, in my opinion and the staff always seem helpful and courteous. The location and coastal course speaks for itself, I would highly recommend any the enjoys golf to book a game in Galway Bay…

As part of a golf society with 36 players we played the course on a lovely November day. The course was great, however one of our player and 81 year old gent, a competitive golfer rented a golf cart. However it broke down after 12 holes and when he returned to the club house they treated him terribly told him... More

Went there with my wife expecting a luxurious suite in a good 4 star hotel (as described by their reservations staff). What we were faced with was a grubby conferencing hotel in a nice setting. Carpet lifting, soul-less, gaudy room and awful bathroom with mouldy bath and surround. I'm sure it's fine for a boozy team-building venue but not a... More
